Babies should often be put down(in their playpen) to play on their own, so that they can grow with a sense of independence.

Since your wife is pregnant, I think the time is right to put your baby in a daycare center to mingle with other kids his age, and when it's time to go pick him up, you should be the one to do it, otherwise, he might never outgrow that behaviour (of being too attached to his mum).
He might cry (expectedly) in the first few days/weeks, but he'll be fine. He'll get used to it eventually.
Your wife needs a break from him too.

Fueling of car is not an issue because we both are free to use any available car depending on the occasion. As for washing her car,lol very funny when car wash is located almost everywhere.

My mother taught me to collect broom from elders just like she taught me NOT TO GO TO SOMEONE's HOUSE TO SWEEP.
If the capability to do chores is what you black unthinking men use as criteria for selecting a spouse, no wonder you end up asking why your wife can't contribute to family affairs.

I am your kind of person, it's what I have done from childhood, had two very much younger siblings got so used to those house chores that I don't even see it as anything, the issue now is to find that woman that will compliment and do what is right and not one that will take all those lifestyle as one being a fool. I grew up seeing my Dad do some on the regular, especially sweeping and his own laundry, when he sweeps outside and we are just looking at him, some people will be saying we cannot collect broom from our father but we know him more than they know him.

All these standard if it is used for every women, I can bet it my sisters will fail especially my immediate sister.
