Mr Debosky< stressing the 2nd syllable>! I must confess that I admire your analysis prowess. Initially, I thought na football vis-à-vis Arsenal matters you fi excellently analysed <pun intended> but I had for long been proven otherwise. Hoping to see you on ESPN one of these days exhibiting your potential but that will obviously be after you are done "choping" oyel money. Brother,Following you bumper-to-bumper <apology to Wande Coal> debosky: I won't knock a desire to get that lucrative job if it means for example, someone spends more time studying in order to achieve it. To each his own. |

How sure are we that El Rufai's facebook account hasn't been hacked! This post is miles apart from his stereotypical facebook/twitter comments.Just saying! |
Higuain's presence on the pitch has long overdue... Welcome onboard Modric! |
Fab looks sad.Just wondering what he would be thinking seeing Song replacing Busquet. |
What a pass!what an opportunity!! I'm envisaging something unusual in this match. |
BlueDiva: What is a useless career? There are poorly paid doctors and well paid lawyers.100% in agreement with you. The main thing in determining how successful you are in your career is fulfillment! In this part of the world, we are too money conscious. No wonder, money is a big factor in choosing a career rather than passion albeit the condition of our economy dictates that. The aftermath are the so called mid life crisis; unproductive career;career depression and consequently, unfulfilled life! Classification of the,in the words of the OP, " most rubbished profession" is a subterfuge to ridicule some notable professions. So many guys, with one head, are making it big in these "rubbished" professions. Learn to think out of the box! |
I need the book please. vickipad@yahoo.ca Thanks! |
Na Today! Mtchew...Make i hear word jor. Overhaul ko, Underhaul ni.. Our leaders in this country are just damn clueless; they tend to put the cart before the horse. We can't make much progress as a nation if we don't plan ahead pragmatically. Trust me,all these brouhaha we end very soon. The mistakes of London 2012, I'm so sure , will be repeated in Rio 2016! |
I have a dual sim Samsung phone that just suddenly stopped working. Any time i insert the battery, the phone and the battery get hot without it coming up.Gurus in the house, what do you think is wrong with my phone and what can i do to rectify this fault? Your replies are earnestly awaited |
AjanleKoko: Inherent inferiority complex of the black man.My best quote of the week! |
What a sudden twist of fate! The once upon a time commercial city turning to a ghost town just because of the "Monster" reared and nurtured by her power drunk elite. What a pity. |
Hmm! Nigerians complain a lot, we do more of talking and less of action.Sometimes I wish we were like Bolt and Mourinho;who talk but match their talk with results. Most Nigerians act otherwise! Many people condemning Dangote here will surprisingly be the first to apply for the job opening! Bunch of hypocrites. |
Nice one bro.peace! |
Super story series indeed! Going through the OP's posts without being sentimental, you will tend to see the coherence that exists therein.I quite agree that first impression matters a lot in life and I had advised the OP in one of his threads to work on that. But bros, despite admiring your writing style,i wish to say that your earlier post has undertones of negative criticism, condemnation and outright disbelief! These aforementioned attributes of your post are more destructive than being constructive, hence undermining its beneficial purpose. Negative criticism and fault findings in the name of advice and "pull up" are common scenarios on Nairaland. We must accept the fact that we never became the "geniuses" we are today overnight! |
If you are doubting the OP,i'll advise you go check his name in the Mathematics department graduating list pasted at the rear wing of Unilorin auditorium. He is the first on the list and the only first class student with a matriculation number starting with '09'(his year of entry into the school)! Come on guys, there are a lot of people with rough beginnings; who overcame their failure and became the best in their field through hardwork and discipline! OP is a good example. Never look down on people,be nice to everyone that come your way. Most importantly, don't be too quick to condemn; but never stop seeking for the truth! @OP..Only FEW people can help you on this forum. What most members do is to condemn and find faults! I'll advise you check out T22 at "Total Oil and gas workers" thread. The guy is the most intelligent and yet humble person i have ever met online! |
Please i need info on Total scholarship at the Institute of Petroleum studies, University of portharcout. I have been surfing their site but all to no avail.A link will be highly appreciated. NB- Similar scholarship info are welcome! |
Hmm! Fire on the mountain......;-) |
AjanleKoko: The only state that meets that criteria is Kogi. saxywale: The faculties that churns out first class from my uni (named after an elder stateman that appears on one of the naira note) are the social sciences(economics, geography, demography) and administration(accounting).Hmmm..Then probably class of degree of students are determined by lecturers in their departments and how serious they are.Geography and Economics departments rarely produce first class in my school! |
Closer to the south than any northern Uni.Located in the capital of a state which start with 'K'. Bros, trust me this school is a hard nut to crack when it comes to having good grades (first class precisely) especially for students in engineering faculty! When some faculties are celebrating one first class,Mathematics department will be churning out five to six with bunch of wounded 2nd class upper(guys with 4.something GPA).Hence, my assertion that it is kinda easy for a serious minded student to make a first class studying mathematics! NB- Bauchi state is part of the North east. |
AjanleKoko: Huh?A 2nd generation Uni situated in a Non-Hausa city in the North Central zone whose traditional ruler is addressed as Emir. |
antitpiah: ^^^That is an undeniable fact!Truth be told,i'm one of his ardent disciples. Thanks for your unsolicited counsel . |
@Nitrogen.hey bro! I don't think the young man ought to be insulted with the abusive 'f' word.He did agree that his English is imperfect.Surprisingly,he truly made a first class! @Lamba lamb.Try as much as possible to improve both your written and spoken English. Many a times that would determine how your worth is going to be defined.I'll advise you lay your hands on some of Dele Asade's books(i hope i get his name right,he's the author of 'A1 in English') and read educative Magazines.Never be too timid to speak and write in English, the more you do,the perfect you become! Wish you the best bro and i hope to see you at the top! |
Bros,You don't need to.some of these guys could be authentic first class students. Mathematics Dept. in my school for example produces yearly lot of them first class & i guess it's the same in other schools. The question I'm yet to find answer to though is 'is it that easy to make a first class studying Mathematics?' @OP.Identify your passion;what you love doing and where you'll be glad to be in the next ten years. That should make it easier deciding on your next phase of life.Permit me to say that you'll tend to gain more exposure & experience doing your PG in one of those top schools in the west.Getting a scholarship shouldn't be difficult considering your grade. |
Thanks for sparing me time out of your already tight schedule.I think i am on the right path then.I am presently studying Chemical Engineering;i am in my final year with a pretty good grade.I think i will start 'hobbying' with them Aptitude textbooks instead of playing away my time with X-box and PS.. .... |
Hmm! Pretty low probability...The odd is kinda high!but then what sir do you think is the differentiating factor in securing a job with these coys considering the large population hustling for the very low juicy jobs? |
AjanleKoko: If your desire is Total, Shell, or Chevron, like every other Nigerian youth . . . go and enter for a masters in petroleum engineering. However, know that you have entered the Great Naija LotteryUncle Ajanlekoko, are you saying it is nearly impossible for young grads from Nigerian Unis to get into these MNCs?If your answer is not affirmative, how then can a young, bright and ambitious Nigerian get himself working with these corporations?Your insightful reply is earnestly awaited! NB-Permit me to say that you're a gem! |
It's now crystal clear to me why he wasn't relected! With this poor communication skill of his,he will continue failing in his subsequent political ambitions. Honourable, learn to communicate and not entertain! |
I'm interested.mail me pls : vickipad@yahoo.ca |
