A shy guys experience.

Everyday I came to class with the same promise, it was our junior years and I being in B class meant I shared class with a certain Lilian .. Infact we were almost seat Mates in Js 2; only one seat separating us.

Yes, the promise - it was a simple one 'Today' was going to be the day, I tell Lilian how much likeness I had for her...

Well, you guessed right, everyday ended same way, I'll steal a couple of looks and fade away in fear (maybe), I was definitely liver-less... No Day would be 'Today', and just if you're wondering, that was before I joined the sch fellowship in JSS 3....by which time I was in F class....

The good news was, she never (to my knowledge) had a guy back then, so there was no guy for me to fight or 'hate'.

'Everything' thou would soon fade away, as I got fully into the ways of fellowship until there came another episode....

... This episode wasn't a Lilian Oha - but a certain Ife Ogudu, but before then I turned down someone's advances - because if she wasn't Lilian, she couldn't be like Lilian. That she, was Shade.

Memories... And YES, only Ife Ogudu could have 'beaten' Lilian to 'it'.

One family has redefined their lives together as parent and child after transitioning to opposite genders.
Father Eric Maison and daughter Corey Maison, 15, used to be mother and son.

Corey Maison, 15, who loves mascara and lip gloss, was born a boy.

“I always wanted to be a girl,” she said. “I was very girly when I was younger.”

Corey is one of five and her mother, born Erica, never felt comfortable in her female body. Erica transitioned to Eric.

“I definitely felt like I identified with boys but I didn't actually realize it was possible I could become one,” Eric told Inside Edition.

It wasn't until four years ago, when the two watched a TV special on transgender teen activist Jazz Jennings, that everything became clear.

“I said, ‘Wow, I’m just like her. I'm a girl trapped in a boy's body’,” Corey admitted.

Corey started taking puberty blockers at 11 to stop facial hair growth and the deepening of his voice.

“Just seeing her courage and bravery in the face of so much adversity, I think that's what ultimately gave me the courage to come out myself,” Eric said.

For Eric, the transition began with a short haircut. Then, the 39-year-old started injecting testosterone.

“My voice has gotten deeper, I’ve grown facial hair even though I shave it, more body hair, leg hair and my muscles are getting bigger,” he said.

Earlier this year, Eric had a double mastectomy.

“I felt like I was trapped in a woman's body and just that mastectomy made me feel free,” he said.

The transition has proved challenging for Les Maison, who is Corey’s father and Eric’s husband.

It was their anniversary, and Funke was waiting for her husband Kunle to show up.

Funke's heart sank.!!! She was shocked!

"But my husband is here with me" Funke said.

"Sorry ma'am, but the incident took place at 2 pm, when he was boarding the train."

Funke was about to lose her mind.

How could this happen?!

She had heard about the soul of the person coming to meet a loved one before it finally leaves for eternity!

She ran into the other room.

He was not there. It was true! Kunle had left her for good!!

Oh God! She would have died for another chance to mend every little fight! She rolled on the floor in pain. She had lost her chance! Forever!

Suddenly, there was a noise from the bathroom. The door opened and Kunle came out and said to Funke, "Darling, I forgot to tell you my wallet got stolen today".

I've been so disturbed about the strangest thing ever happening to me for the past one month.

I met an elderly woman early April at my barber' shop where I do come to charge my phone at night whenever there is no power supply(same as the woman). I went the 2nd night, still met this same woman on the same mission at the shop. She noticed my hairstyle and asked me what style it is, I was like it was just a partial dreadlocks but I haven't locked it fully to make it firm. And she was like she likes it.

And she went on to ask my name and some details about myself which I did. And when I told her i'm an igbo guy she was soo happy and told me clearly that she likes me more.

I was already admiring her as a mother(meanwhile we already exchanged contact) not until she called me on the phone 3weeks after we met and asked me to come to her house. After entertaining me with dishes, she moved close to me and started showing me videos on her phone...while scrolling through the videos i saw lots of matured porn and I was so shocked. She asked me what was wrong? that I should relax. I told her this is not right! I told her she could be my mom. She was just like it doesn't matter.

The most shocking part of it is that this woman claims to be a prohetess and a minister. Even on her facebook timeline, she addressed herself as a prophetess. I could disclose her facebook account but something inside of me tells me it will be too cruel and unjust of me...please people all I need is advice I don't wanna fall into temptation. She lives on the same street with me. She's new there......Please I need advice!

One of the few photos that I have of my Grandmother (attached), she was a Fulani woman from Northern Nigeria who practiced Islam. Much like today, romantic relationships between Christians (Igbos) and Muslims (Hausa/Fulanis) in Nigeria were very rare and shunned.

A few years after my Dad was born, my Grandma, Nnuja Muhummad, and my Grandpa Dennis Ogbonna, ended their relationship due to the pressures of society. My Dad went with my Grandpa back to our homeland in Imo State in Southeastern Nigeria. He never saw or heard from his mother again.

My Dad died on December 26, 2011 and all I have left are photographs (of my mum) and stories.

India’s Supreme Court on Friday upheld death sentences against four men who fatally gang raped a woman on board a bus in 2012.

The crime sparked widespread protests and drew international attention to violence against women.

Akshay Thakur, Vinay Sharma, Pawan Gupta and Mukesh Singh were convicted and handed death sentences by lower courts for the fatal rape of Jyoti Singh, which they challenged in the Supreme Court.

“It’s a barbaric crime and it has shaken the society’s conscience,” Justice R. Banumathi told a packed courtroom as the three-judge Supreme Court panel threw out an appeal on behalf of the defendants.

The five men and a juvenile lured the 23-year-old trainee physiotherapist and her male friend on to a minibus in New Delhi on Dec. 16, 2012, repeatedly raping the woman and beating both with a metal bar before dumping them on a road.

The woman died of grave internal injuries two weeks later in a Singapore hospital.

Applause broke out in court among relatives of the victim, whose identity is protected by law, as judges explained that the crime met the “rarest of the rare” standard to justify capital punishment in India.

“I am very satisfied.

“Today I am happy,” the victim’s mother said.

Her father said: “It’s not just a victory for my family, it’s a victory for each and every woman in our country.”
