eberejasmine:How would you know that you did pretty good in the decision making part? |
Eronmosele:Very well bro. You have actually enlightened us but I must say you were partial in your enlightenment. Have you heard the idiomatic expression "What is good for the goose is also good for the gander"? You have told us that Personnel, Furniture, Ammunition, Luggage and Information are all in plural form as they are... You mind telling us the singular term of Personnel, Furniture, Ammunition, Luggage and Information? |
So Shell actually meant their stance on "first come first serve basis"... I hope they don't finish choosing from those that wrote before Friday oo; because I have already started changing my wardrobe in anticipation of getting the Job ![]() I wrote the second test on Sunday, no mail yet |
eipreel:If only you knew that you could fare better than the person behind that moniker, then you wouldn't have the cheap mindset that "any lady" will kill to say yes to any guy whatsoever ![]() |
rationalmind:Assuming it was positive, will she marry you? ![]() |
ksstroud:Manufacturing companies and FMCG coys does; some shallow banks also does |
Second test was cool. Spent a lot of time on the decision making part though. Now the wait for the success mail begins |
felixtoba:"Within Ibadan"? You shouldn't have much of a choice with preferences when it comes to Job hunting |
davide470:Most scary moniker.. Me ![]() |
I seem to be the only person that applied for a Human Resources/ICT role. |
Shinelle:Download latest Flash player from www.filehippo.com Alternatively, you can download Torch browser. It has flash player embedded in it. |
Kerry Group... Very little known about them; from the rigorous application and intelligent SJT, they really seem to have much to offer |
*Silently watching*.... I hail everyone |
Oh... That's true. I kinda forgot that I applied to this job opening. Really looking forwards to a feedback from them |
We shall understand it better by and by! "My comments are not necessarily endorsement" |
xyz098:It's already glaring; you have made up your mind already on which to choose! Let's stop wasting Nairaland's bandwidth! "My comments are not necessarily endorsement" |
misssclassy:SUG government governing Diploma students, part time students, PGD students, Masters and Phd students? Hmmn.. Do they cover pre-degree and post utme students also? Just asking oo "My comments are not necessarily endorsement" |
Education: A failing scheme! |
Very well said Micronut. I agree wholly with you that we tend to see more of "how Obasanjo ate chicken with Tonto dikeh" and "how a pastor commanded his congregation to swallow a life cow!" on front page most a time. I also support your notion of Job/Vacancies Section, Education, the Career, the Family Section, Agriculture and Healths being beneficial to the youth. I tend to disagree with you though that the Politics section is "useless" to the youth. As a youth, there are countless benefits I have derived from the politics section. I first learnt of the last election dates in Nairaland, I first learnt of PMB banning the Aso Rock Chapel on Nairaland, I first learnt of GEJ reducing PMS rate to 87 naira on Nairaland, I first read the news of how the soldiers fighting Boko haram were maltreated on Nairaland; and all these were posted on FP. I am sure 4 out of every 5 Nairalanders must have one or two good tales about politics on FP. In addition, I don't think you can rule out Sport, Business, Investment, Technology Market, Computer and Phone sections as having no significant impact on the Youth. Even the crime section; you never can tell if someday Nairaland will alert you on a robbery happening just close to you that you have no knowledge about. In conclusion, instead of suggesting to Mr Seun and other Ogas at the top to completely eradicate from FP stories from crime, politics, Entertainment, jokes and other "irrelevant sections" (as u seem to mean), I would suggest that every story that should be on FP passes the litmus test first! This is the more reason why a Super moderator is needed to not only checkmate scammers and spammers, but also screen the type of news on front page. Alternatively, there could be something like a sharing formula, where at any point in time, every section should have 3 or 4 news on the front page. "My Comments are not necessarily endorsement" |
1. If you graduated with a first class honours, then the GA appointment is automatic in virtually all institutions 2. If you have a second class upper, apply to the registrar of your desired institution through the HOD of your desired department just like sureguy said. It could be a lot easier if you are applying to your alma-matar. I suggest you bag one or two certifications in your desired field, it should be an advantage. Also it's advisable to join one or two professional bodies relevant to your field; there are some free professional bodies btw. 3. I don't think a degree below second class upper is usually considered for appointment for Graduate Assistant. Unless ofcourse on certain special occasions. 4. For your Msc, you dont need to do it in the university you are employed into, though it will be favourable for u if u do it there. Upon appointment into a university, you can get a study fellowship (scholarship) or TETFUND to study anywhere in the world. 5. Finally, you should know the pay as a Graduate Assistant is meagre. It's about 2/3 of what an entry level permanent staff in a good bank gets, less than 1/4 of what a fresh entry level NLNG staff gets, and maybe a little bit lesser than what other fresh graduates gets in other federal parastatal. In a nutshell, what I am insinuating is that if u want a GA job for the passion you have for it, then great. If you want it because you think federal government jobs pay well, then you will be so disappointed. Goodluck bro |
https://www.nairaland.com/2437634/check-out-pits...would-puppies-combo Walelaw do you remember this thread you opened not so long ago? Where u tried to scam people using a missing dog's picture over the Internet! You haven't stopped your lies and cheap scamming tricks.... Everyone BEWARE! |
Shininstar30:How much commission do I get for patronising you? ![]() |
Mekzmoney:I know many people here will ask him to take the job because he is currently unemployed; but the truth of the matter is that this just can be likened to modern day slavery with just peanut (40k) to show for it. Like someone rightly mentioned above, only a person that hasn't done a night job will advice him to take the job - and for 14 hours? Common! Picture the scenario; close work by 12pm, if he is lucky without traffic he gets home by 1pm. The next agenda is to sleep till 7pm (atleast); he wakes up dresses and goes to work by 8pm. Sometimes, he might even sleep for less than that (this could affect him health wise). Isn't that such a boring and fruitless life to live everyday? He wouldn't even have time for himself, friends, family, gf/wife, career, no chance to even look out for other jobs! And the pathetic thing is that he has just 40k to show for this. My brother, kindly tell him to reject such slavery... Everyone advising him to take the job doesn't make it the right course of action! Shallom |
Why are the workers crying foul? They resumed work without certain conditions of service nor letter of appointment. Meaning there was never a legal binding agreement between them and the company! What they did was that they signed their resignation letter even before they resumed duties! No wonder they were being paid whatever the company decided. In simple terms; the employer-employee romance is over! There is nothing NLC nor any court can do; because they were never staff of the company in the first instance. |
Kidnap, Armed Robbery, Ritual, 419'ing, and what have you, is on the rise in Owerri. Be careful with how you visit a store house that claims to be an international company; because it is well known that Banks and Hotels are the types of international company you will find in owerri. |
What kinda job advert is this? So shaby, disjointed, meaningless and full of thrash! Are you trying to recruit graduates or creche pupils? |
ndudichukwumah:PGD for Msc.. yes. HND for MSC..not likely. Btw I don't work in Imsu but I happen to be knowledgeable in this regard |
