Politics › Re: Lagos; APC Leads In All LGA Except 3 (NOT Confirmed) by Scatterboss(m): 4:36am On Mar 29, 2015 |
Afam4eva: I've always wondered same but could it be that they think Jonathan has given them much more than any previous government have. What he has done for the SE may be measly but it's definitely better than what previous government have done combined. It doesn't really matter why they're voting for him. What matters is that they have a reason (even if it's not good enough). He only gave you guys more appointment. I think Obj did same or little in terms of the appointments as well. |

Politics › Re: OMG! This Is Sign That There Will Be War After Election [MUST READ] by Scatterboss(m): 10:24pm On Mar 27, 2015 |
[s] PapiWata: Wealth generated from the Niger Delta oil fields has been plundered WHOLESALE by folks from the extreme north of Nigeria, where there is no oil wealth to speak of, yet whose inhabitants feel ENTITLED, by virtue of being BORN TO RULE, to OWN and sell the crude oil deposits that lie under the ancestral land of the Izon, the Itshekiri, the Ogoni, the Urhobo and the Ilaje people.
For the first time in Nigeria's over half-century as an independent nation, a son of the Niger Delta was FINALLY elected into power as the nation's president. With that long-standing injustice of political and economic marginalization righted by the election of President Jonathan Goodluck Jonathan, and with a second term in office virtually assured in national elections, the born-to-rule northern criminal class, sensing the INEVITABLE power shift already well under way, now DEMANDS that a puppet RULER called Boko Hari be IMPOSED on Nigeria, in order to ensure that those lucrative oil field drilling permits are kept in the greedy grasping hands of that shadowy oil Mafia from norther Nigeria.
Fortunately, the tide of human justice is a force of nature far too strong to be resisted by the desperate agitations of that northern Nigerian old guard, comprising career embezzlers and usurpers, all of whom will be swept away into the darker recesses of history now over forever.
President Jonathan Goodluck WILL retain his post as Nigeria's Number One Citizen right on up until the good year 2019, and for the avoidance of doubt, any attempt to use post-election violence to subvert the expressed electoral will of the people will be crushed with the full might of the Nigerian military, just as any ILLEGAL government IMPOSED by force in Nigeria will trigger a conflagration of biblical scale in the Niger Delta, effectively shutting down ALL crude oil extraction and export, for as long as is necessary to restore justice in the land. ilugunboy: I owe you no apologies for that....she has not conduct herself in a befitting manner and ways that are expected from the wife of a nation's President.
You will never like Mrs Buhari due to your prejudices brought about by limited perspectives about other people in Nigeria. I'm sure that you've spent the better part of your life around the same axis of Nigeria and such has shaped your outlook. That bitter woman Gboliwe is just like Biafraqueen and babyosisi, they hate anything North or Yoruba. They should be friends with Shekau and his fellow boko haram disciples. Too much bitterness and hatred. Gosh! |

Politics › Re: Buhari Never Said He Will Make Naira Equal To The Dollar by Scatterboss(m): 9:31am On Mar 24, 2015 |
LogicPower: This is what I have just posted on that thread, seconds ago:
1. It is quite pathetic how intellectually lazy people have become these days, making it so easy for unscrupulous, dishonest, unprofessional and compromised 'journalists' to deceive so many people, for so long, without the gullible lot realizing it.
2. Otherwise, how come that this clear misrepresentation of GMB's remark would reach so many pages of comments on NL yet nobody was enable to figure out that even by the original story on Vanguard, there is NO WHERE the people's general mentions that he would 'make naira equal in value to dollar'!.
3. You do not need any professional journalistic training to know that for this news story to have been given the headline it was given, the body of the story would reasonably be expected to have a direct quote of GMB explaining in his own words this issue of utmost policy significance.
4. Although this would not matter much for those who have decided either way, such a direct quote would allow enlightened, unbiased minds to join the debate and judge him fairly; more importantly, it would portray the NAN reporter and the Vanguard online editor as objective and fair journalists.
5. If there is no direct quote of GMB saying he would 'make naira equal in value to dollar' in the entire original story, then how come this conjecture was made the headline of the news story?
6. And since there is only one direct quote of GMB in there whole story (“It is sad that the value of the naira has dropped to more than N230 to one dollar; this does not speak well for the nation’s economy,’’), why wasn't the headline of the story based on that quoted remark?
7. Well, the answer to the two questions above is clear: the dishonest reporter of NAN (one of the FG's mouthpieces) or the corrupt and compromised Vanguard's online 'editor' knew exactly what he/she wanted to achieve, which is, to serve his/her PDP paymasters by playing along their campaign strategy of damaging the image and reputation of GMB as badly as they can.
8. But it is quite heart-warming to see that in spite of all the billion-dollar campaigns of calumny against Buhari, the popularity of the people's general is only rising all over the country.
9. Even in the SE/SS/MB, the political terrain has completely changed from 2011 in favour of the amiable general, as a result of which he is now SURELY going to get a far BIGGER SHARE of the SE/SS/BM votes on Saturday, while GEJ's share of the NW/NE/SW votes is going to SHRINK drastically from what it was in 2011.
10. Simply compare GMB's highly successful rally in Imo yesterday, and the reception he got naturally from the ordinary people on the street, with the situation in 2011, when his chances in the SE were so slim, his campaign resources so meagre, and the structure of his party (CPC) so scantily present that he could not even manage to campaign at all in the region. God bless you. |

Who can use soldiers and the navy to stabilize oil price? Who can make $1 = N1? Who can pay the "poor" families allowance? Who could have become a general without a certificate?
Who else can shout for change from progress to some primitive mentality if not: Tout like Amechi, Lair like Lai, Czar like Tinubu, Tyrant like Buhari
Who else are our "progressives" if not OBJ and Atiku.
They want us to vote for change because a 9 yr old, donated her lunch to Buhari! I heard a rumour that an unborn child has also donated a kidney to the tyrant.
With this N1 = $1 promise, Buhari will force America to store their foreign reserves in Naira!
Nigerian youths are so gullible! [/s] |
