They don't need to refer to his religion because his act was not religion motivated. However, if somebody is shouting allau Akbar and is shooting or stabbing people, we all know such a person as a Muslim terrorist.

Family / Re: I Just Cut The Cord With My Father by Scetrocom: 5:59pm On Sep 18, 2017
Beverly1:
Hi fellow Nlanders

I was born into Catholic faith and practice till I was 12 and I enjoyed it. My parent became deeper life member while we were living apart and now a pastor in that church. I re-united with them when I was 12 and since then I've been attending the church with them and still attend Catholic occasionally....I love the preaching from the founder of deeper life as he preaches the bitter truth but I believe most other young pastor see d church "doctrine" as commandment and so must be kept 100%.....the founder of the church addressed this issue several times but NO.

18 years on since we re-united, I'm a graduate, married and living abroad but my father still forcing his believe and doctrine on me. I considered myself spiritual but not so religious. I connect with my God easily but not a 3G church guy.

He made me and my siblings antisocial and introverted simply because he believed we shouldn't be involved in any social activities even sports. I still remember being beaten for playing soccer, he believes we would be influenced badly. Watching TV was a crime especially movies.

Fast forward to yesterday he rang my wife to check on us but the first question he asked was if we attend to church. I told him it's been raining and temperature was really low....then he started lamenting asking if I won't go to work if it wasn't Sunday, complaining about the country where I can't worship God...then to get me more exasperated he asked and insisted I tell him how many time I've been to church lately and how many times I've read d bible....I told him we've been attending but he insisted on a number.

This got me so mad that I stood up for myself under a heavy breathe as I do not want to disrespect him or hangup on him.I told him I do not appreciate being asked questions like a 10 yrs old boy and at my age I should know how to live my life and what's best for me.....he got angry and said goodbye and I guess he was still on d phone but I didn't know...I just hang up.....Now I've block him from reaching me ... planning to change my numbers.....but not any financial support. Only cutting all communication with him but not with my siblings as they mean more to me and I wanna see them through as much as God help me...

Please is this not an over reaction because I loved him as he's a very responsible man who puts the family first and strived to make us who we are. But we do not av a close relationship because of his believe even though he's been forcing it.

You may have your point, but if you are truly spiritual and you know the world of God, I think you should know treating Your Own father like that is ungodly and unscriptural. Your father might look like extremist but all he's trying to do his to ensure you don't lose focus of heaven which is the main reason of all our spiritual activities. You should have tolerated him no matter the level of the so called provocation. He maybe wrong in trying to impose his own brand of faith on you, but not wrong in telling you that rain/cold shouldn't stop you from attending church since it doesn't stop you from going to work on working days.
Please, call your father and mend fence with him

I think he should go back and read the bible again.

The problem is that most, of not all of these people are not Christians and lack basic understanding of the scripture. Jesus Christ even said he does not know the time date or year, except his father in heaven alone. There is no code written anywhere in the Bible to determine exactly when it will happen.

Good move from the FGN.

The Agberos we see at the Bust stops generate Billions of Naira daily/monthly in Lagos alone. Government need to stop those Agberos and replace them with educated un-employed youths all over the country. This system will create thousands of jobs. Though, it will be difficult at first because most Governors and past Governors are benefitting from the proceed as they are also used for political victimization. the Governors will likely frustrate the effort.

In Ogun State, there is certain percentages of daily tolls collection from Okada and Keke-Napep operators going to the incumbent Governor (Ibikunle Amosu) and so Gbenga Daniel former Governor. The state Governors have seen that, it is one major avenue to enrich themselves without dipping their hands in the state Treasury. We have this practice all over the country and one major reasons the Agberos are sacred cows.

It has being going on for long in all states of the federation.
And as you said, the state governors have remain the beneficiary of this illegality. Something drastic needs to be done.

It is just a play of politics apparently directed at Ajimobi. fayose's father lived all his life in Ibadan. The same with most members of their family, Ibadan is their London up till this moment. I don't see how EKiti can compete with Ibadan in term of industry, amenities and level of development. Ibadan shoprite is still one of the best in the country. It will take Ekiti and all those semi villages several years before they can match Ibadan in term of development.

Computers / Re: What Do You Normally Use To Clean Your Laptop Screen ? by Scetrocom: 2:36pm On Jun 14, 2017
alade112:
Laptop screens tend to collect dust, food particles and other debris that starts to look unattractive after awhile. It's important to use very gentle supplies to clean your laptop screen, since the LCD surface is easily damaged. Using a microfiber cloth and a simple solution of water will do the work.

Sometimes you seem to be unsatisfied with water.

If you asked someone who knows a lot about cleaning computers they'd tell that cleaning your computer or laptop using methylated spirit or perfumes is one of the worst things you can do. But that's all because they've probably never used it in the first place. I always use methylated spirit to clean my computer and never had any issues.

So what I do is wipe it off first with a clean cloth. Then I would get my methylated   spirit and soft cloth  and wipe off the screen and the keyboard.

So what do you use in cleaning your laptop screen and keyboard?

lalasticlala! Pls fp. Topics from this section don't normally make Fp

There is a commercial PC/keyboard cleaning gel which could be ordered online. It is very effective. Just type keyboard cleaning gel to google.

But how come he has female shoes kept somehere?so let us go through some likely scenario.

A- shoes belong to his wife.
B- He dresses like a woman indoors.
C-Shoes he bought and refused to give to the girls because they refused to "DO"
D-His Oracle has told him this will happen and he came prepared.
E- It was all staged.[/quote

The correct option is E. Everything was staged. No worker will be happy with a man that refused to pay them the peanut salary they depend on for survival while his own children outrageous pocket money has never failed.

Crime / Re: Man Slaps Wife Of Police Officer While Jogging. See What Happened Next by Scetrocom: 1:59pm On Jun 09, 2017
PrettyCrystal:
A man got more than what he bargained for after deciding to mess with the wife of a police officer. According to an online report, the man allegedly slapped the woman who was ridding a bike begging him to make way for her to while jogging. Rather than heed to her plea, the man allegedly slapped the woman.

Read the full report as shared on Facebook by Okon Otoyo who lives in Calabar, Cross River state.

The man on a picture slapped a woman who was ridding a lady bike begging him to make way for her to pass since he was doing morning juggling to keeping fit, this man instead of heeding to her plea,he slapped the woman as if she rob him.

The Aftermath, he is now being drag by the husband to the woman who is also an official of the Nigerian police force. The film don turn sawa, he is now pretending, fainting etc.

Moral lesson, pls,be careful the way you think and regard woman or human being for God seek, such might turn out to be that big block you will never think should come your way at any time.

This story is doubtful, the picture showed a man in native dress and we were told he was doing morning juggling. Where is the correlation? Besides, that environment in the picture does not match the story.

Career / Re: Skye Bank Salary Scale: Salary Of Skye Bank Nigeria PLC by Scetrocom: 10:39am On May 18, 2017
The Banking sector just like the oil and gas industry is one of the highest paying sectors in terms of salary. Although there exist some differences in how much banks in Nigeria pay their workers as no specific law compels them to have a fixed amount for their staff.

For its entry level staff salary, Skye Bank pays an amount of N104,000 monthly according to department and .....

Good, but there is know comparison between banking job and oil job. This amount is meant for cleaners and even less than artisan salary in most established oil companies.

Great..

- So 'Crime Fighters' can be aired 24/7 days.
- The police can provide its narratives
- IG can use the medium to sensitise populace on works
- Citizens can report to the police using the platforms
- The force can maximise its reach to the public
- One step is to have them on cable networks
- Documentaries can be aired using real life cases
- A useful platform to analyse security situations
- More media personnel would be employed; technical & non technical specialities
- During general elections, security situations can be monitored live and direct
- The Nigeria Police Force would become more responsive to the masses
- Nollywood producers can have new genre focussing on 'State Protection' on these television platforms
- We can have real life reportage of crimes, economic criminals, convicts etc
I hope it will not turn out as a propaganda tools to cover all their impunities with fake stories and out right lies against innocent masses. NBC should think twice before approving it.

Car Talk / Re: Why Nigerians Are Not Buying Innoson Cars by Scetrocom: 7:56pm On Mar 01, 2017
AutoReportNG:
When it comes to cars, luxury and showing off, Nigeria takes the lead in the world. It is only a Nigerian that will have 3 to 4 cars and still stay in a rented apartment, no wonder the likes of Kia, Toyota, and the likes take Nigeria as their second home. Lagos especially being the commercial city of Nigeria boasts of roughly 5 million cars.

When Goodluck Jonathan administration signed the automotive law last 2 years, it was greeted with mixed feelings as Innoson was on the lips of many Nigerians that it will help boost its local productivity, but this seems not to be the case as the only indigenous automobile company, Innoson Motors is struggling to catch up, it was reported last year that the company was considering closing its factory and sacking all its workers which the company later denied and released a statement.

We did a cross check, and a background analysis on why Nigerians are not patronizing their own despite Nigerians love for cars, luxury and showing off, these few findings are what we found disturbing, and we urged the management to quickly look into it.

1. Customer Care/Social Media

A Chinese proverb says, "If you don't know how to smile, don't think of opening a shop." Nothing amounts to great customer service and relations, a cross check at Innoson Motors website is nothing to write about, the site was linked together with its parent company. Innoson is a brand itself and so should be made to stand out, the navigation, the contents there are just too boring to read or to assimilate. It is being expected that Innoson website ought to have a functional chat, email and social media that is up and running. A visit to their Twitter page shows that they last tweeted on 11th of Feb., 2017 and their facebook page 20th August 2016, where companies like Toyota, Peugeot, etc. tweets at least 5 times daily. Nothing amounts to having an excellent customer care, a responsive website, and a proactive social media personnel.

2. Show Rooms

I smiled when I checked for Innoson showrooms, and I can only see four in the whole of Nigeria, I said to myself, these guys are not ready for business yet. Lagos is a cosmopolitan city. Therefore, this is where your marketing strategy has to come in full force. Innoson only has one showroom in Lagos and its not even in a high brow area like VI or Lekki area, they went and site their showroom in Oshodi-Apapa Expressway. A school of thought says you take your wares to where you know your clients will be able to see them. Even if you are trying to be relevant, you need to come up with the marketing strategy to attract the high-class men you made these cars for. How many people will find you in Oshodi? BMW has at least 15 showrooms in Lagos state alone and they are located in high brow areas like Lekki, VI, Ikoyi etc. Even if you can't open a shop there, you can partner with likes of Lanre Shittu, Coscharis Motors etc. Innoson, time to wake up.

3. Spare Parts/Accessories

One of the worries of car owners is finding spare parts for their vehicles, a check at spare part dealers at Ladipo market, the largest in Africa shows that the parts are not available. I was talking to a friend who is a driver, I asked him if he has heard of Innoson Motors and he said he is just hearing the name for the first time, how can you expect someone of that caliber to introduce the brand to his company talkless of finding the spare parts in the market. I think the firm can collaborate with the spare part dealers and make these parts available to them in bulk.

4. Advert! Advert!! Advert!!!
Nothing sells in this world without an advertisement, Innoson has been behind in promotion and advertisement, I wonder if the firm is afraid to spend or partner with media houses. Last week when Mercedes-Benz wants to release its new models to the market, it invites newsmen, bloggers, and lots more. Advert can be in form sponsorship, beauty pageant etc

5. Create a niche of your brand

I see most of Innoson vehicles as a replica of some other cars I have seen before. Take for example, the Innoson G-Wagon is a complete replica of Mercedes-Benz and some of their cars, it's quite essential for them to produce something unique and relate with.

I quite agree with point 1,2,4 and they all point to the same thing- unison as a company are not blowing their whistle enough for people to give them a trial.
In addition, I still don't understand the rational behind the idea of hidding the price of their producs the last time they manage to advertise on facebook sometimes last year. They need to do aggressive advert/ marketing if they want to make headway. Focusing attention on Nigeria Govt (states and federal)will not help.

That's the modern practice in most parts of the world today. Especially most professional certification courses, there is always an appraisal form to be filled and sign by each student to indicate their opinion on how lecturers handled their courses.
This would go a long way to check their excesses.

ABS...Automatic Brake System
There is nothing like automatic break system. ABS means anti lock breaking system. When you press your break pedder during emergency( which is not the right thing to do) your wheels would instantly stop rolling, but your car would continue it's movement. This phenomenon would lead to car somersaulting and deadly accident. ABS was designed to overcome this situation by pulsing and releasing the wheels at around 26times per second ensuring no wheel get locked to the road surface and thereby prefer accident. So your wheels keep on rolling and slowing down at almost the same rate with the vehicle until it came to rest at a time t in seconds.

I still don't see how a true christian that understands bible very well would be alarmed by all these satanically inspired theory. Jesus stated it clearly in Mathew 24:36 that nobody knows the time even, himself except his father- God.
this is one of the weapon being used by devil to make people loose interest in Christ second coming and reality of the end of this present world and judgement day. Having witness several failed ascertain about the end of the world, it may lead to a thought that the world will never end at all. This why Jesus warned us in Mathew 24: 4-34 not to listen to any human made theory that is at variance with biblical truth.
