BKayy:This is just territorial waters not Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) Nigeria can apply for an extension of its territorial waters if it so wishes. |
Igboid:That is Fulani wayo lies breh. All sovereign nations, no matter how tiny have exclusive navigational and exploratory rights to their territorial waters as well as the right to exploit the natural resources embedded in the shelf of their Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs). Size's got nothing to do with it. Even a sovereign speck of littoral land will have an EEZ as long as it is a natural landform (not reclaimed/landfilled/artificial). That is why some of these old colonial powers like France are clutching hard to their offshore islands not wanting to let go of them. |
mrvitalis:How is this reply relevant to the topic?? Most Akwa Ibom oilfields are offshore. (Both shallow and deep) and they are always in number 1 or 2- flip flopping with Delta for top spot. If you notice- they are one of the few oil producing states that don’t have much issues with oil spills and land degradation. You better rethink any previous notion that you might have had. |
mrvitalis:lol... you think oil ends Onshore? The Ijaw (Rivers) territorial waters shallow and deep field offshore plus onshore production alone catapult them past all Igboid rivers put together. |
Ijaws. Delta ijaw fields Bayelsa Ijaw fields Rivers Ijaw fields. They move into number one. (1st) Ibibios don't have oil unless you are considering the Orons, Obolos and Ibenos as part of a meta-ethnicity called "Ibibio""... That would push them into number 2. (2nd) Then the Igboid groups (Including Ukwuani and Ekpeye) all together would come third. (3rd) Then itsekiris would come Fourth. (4th) My unbiased Opinion. |

FallenShitHole:Information is free, however Interpretation, expression and representation of Data requires people who actually have a functioning brain to do that. That you can't pull out statistics from an open resource website is no fault of anyone. Data is free. |
plaindealer:Unless you are suggesting it now, I have only made a submission on numbers and per-capita representation in response to someone else's opinion that the reason Nigerians can no longer partake in the U.S Visa lottery program is because we are already overrepresented in the U.S |
FallenShitHole:Another pained MoFo getting abusive and agitated for no reason. So the other countries where people emigrate to the US don't have regional imbalances in emigration as well? Look at the Ethiopia in my example, the majority of its American diaspora are Amharas , whereas Oromos are a majority back home. Has that stopped immigration into US? Again, the majority of Ghana's diaspora are Akans from the South. The overwhelming majority of the Cuban diaspora is white, whereas the Cuban population is more multiracial than it's US diaspora would suggest.... It isn't a new thing, and has got nothing to do with per-capita analysis. When world bank comes and tells you that Nigeria's literacy rate is 62% , I wonder if you start ranting to them that the literacy in your southern state is over 90% instead and that they should scrap the figures. |
plaindealer:Dude I only gave two examples. There are several more.... It's even more glaring when you look at ratios outside the continent, but within WA here; Sierra Leone, Liberia, Gambia, Guinea, Senegal and many more have much higher representation per capita/vis-a-vis their populations (at least comparatively speaking) You didn't even address Ghana, the other example in my two example submission. |
christistruth01:Which part of Europe? |
OfoIgbo:Language attrition affects most Nigerian groups abroad at almost equal or similar levels. Even if there are nominal differences it shouldn't be bad to heavily throw off the figures by multiple factors. Africans like Somalis, Ethiopians and even Ghanaians are much more in tune with their indigenous languages and pass it on to their children compared to Nigerians across board. As for Africa Magic channels, of course AM Yoruba is much more watched than AM Igbo. All Nigerians from all regions watch General AM channel from Benue to Ogun to Rivers. |
LegendHero:But think about this, Ghana; a country of 30 million people has 162K people in the US. If we were to go by proportional representation, then Nigeria with 7 times more people (over 200 million) should have at least 1.13 million people in the US proportionally, instead Nigerians are just 462K (2.8X Ghanaians) Same goes with Ethiopia with 322K people with half Nigeria's population... if we do a 2X based on number of Ethiopians, then there should be at least 644K Nigerians in America. The truth is that Compared to our population, the figure for Nigeria is very very low.... so, this perception that "Nigerians are already too much in the US" does not really sound all that to me actually especially if you look at other countries still enjoying the benefits of the visa lottery program.... Infact Nigerians are still "learning toddlers" when it comes to Global migration.... If you really want to know those who have made it a 'national program', go check the Filipinos, Eastern Europeans and the likes ... those ones migrate in the millions. |
mancoconut:It isn't a study. It is a report from the United states census board. check links to explore further. |

Ebi2233:OIL RIVERS STATE …Why Ibeno opted out - IBENOS DENY BEING IJAW The National Coordinator of Ikpoto Akwa Ibom, one of the several groups campaigning for Etteh, Mr. Nsima Uwak, however, says the Ijaws know that Ibeno is not an Ijaw territory and cannot, therefore, lay claim to it. According to him, Ibeno was founded by Mbang, a brother to Ukpabang, the progenitor of Oron Nation. “This informs the wide acceptability of Etteh among the Oron,” Uwak said.Ijaws can claim for Africa. ![]() |
Ebi2233:Lmao. Sowore is a Yoruba man even with tribal mark. Anyways Apois (which I highly doubt will follow any Ijaw nation) and arogbos can do whatever they like, just know that the entire coast is Ilaje territory and a NO-GO Area. ... Anywyas, everyone have said their own. |

Ebi2233:Thief Ole... Una wan carry people coastline dey go ijo republic. Lmao.... If you need a guide, You better check Adaka boro's ijo republic for cross reference of where you should be claiming. Akwa Cross nation have been sleeping, Ijaws will soon steal you people's entire coastline.. |
Ebi2233:Ijaws with their double logic.... ![]() You people claim Ibenos, and Obolos/Andonis that don't speak your language as Ijos but at the same time want to claim Apoi that don't eve now what ordinary water is in Izon.. Ebi2233:You have reading problems. I said Gbaramatu are an enclave. Did I say they are Itsekiris. ? |

Una dey live there peacefully and una get all right to live there but if 9ja breaks today, no single part of Ese Odo wey no go dey under Yoruba Nation. As I speak now, in some part of Ogun creek there are some Ijaws who have migrated to that place now, and they are giving birth and as well aggregating their community, we welcome them and maybe in the next 500 years to come, they will start claiming ownership if they do not integrate properly. That Yoruba Anthem has being passed, if not for the Nigeria government using their constitution, una go get the mind to even protest against am before?
