Nobody will tell her who to marry but it is a crime not to tell her who not to marry, and that is where igbo parents are failing whilst the hausa fulani and yorubas are passing.

Igbo parents hope your taking note becos u are failing with your daughters. Marriage to yorubas is a big NO!
Keep ranting on NL like a pained lady...... while it is happening as we speak in real life. Today na Kuku Saturday, Wedding bells everywhere.
Last week I still attended "Tunji weds Chiamaka" ... and next week it will be "Funto and Chima"

Of course they are all the rich or middle class types, not the poor garri soaking frustrated types.

You just keep spewing rubbish. If dem like make all the kids come out in the colors of the rainbow.
Once again, what is your business with her choice of husband or her children, are you her father? or na you go raise her kids?
I'm sure even her father can't tell a modern exposed girl who has spent a lot of her time among civilized people on whom to marry

Totally unnecessary....
Is this man saying there are no local players who can perform even better than these second hand Brazilian products?

This is the destructive Nigerian mentality we have that everything from outside must be better than ours..... Meanwhile This man would squander our foreign exchange on these imports, and would still have NOTHING to show for it.

Smh for Nairaland....
Why do moderators like promoting ethnic bashing threads and posts though...Honestly this is unfair and not right at all.
The popularity and Alexa ranking you are trying to improve is not worth the unity and peace of this country, and honestly I can only say that you people are doing more harm than good to the youth of this country, by providing hateful tribalists and bigots an avenue to spread their putrid state of mind to others, especially the younger generation.

Also, I've been forever confused about Ondo.

Deji

Osemawe

Who is supreme?
As it is presently, I think Deji is the head of the Ondo council of Obas - Probably because Akure is the state capital. And the Osemawe comes next. When the old Deji died in 2013, the Osemawe replaced him immediately at the council.

Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom

http://www.ondonews.com/osemawe-becomes-chairman-ondo-council-of-obas

But I think Ondo used to be the larger and more important town, before Akure outgrew it.

And it is Atao'ja (ate owo gba eja) of Ososgbo.
I think it is Atta Oja.
Osogbo probably started as a market town, and the Atta was the initial king.

LOL, yes indeed.
Do you think Atta could be a very old word for Father in Ancient Yoruba? Those Yoruba towns who have Atta as kings, will have t explain what it means.
Also, isn't it funny how Ebumawe of Ago Iwoye which is Ijebu, and Osemawe of Ondo have similar titles.
Quite a lot to explore in our history.

Olu of Ugbo, (Ilaje, Ondo State)

Olofa of Offa, (Ibolo, Kwara State)
Owa of Idanre, (Ondo, Ondo State)
Olufon of Ifon, (Owo, Ondo State)
Atta Oja of Osogbo, (Oyo, Osun State)
Jegun of Okitipupa, (Ikale, Ondo State)
Owa Ajero of Ijero (Ekiti, Ekiti State)
Obaro of Kabba, (Okun, Kogi State)
Soun of Ogbomoso, (Oyo, Oyo State)
Ogoga of Ikere, (Ekiti, Ekiti State)
Oba Akran of Badagry, (Egun, Lagos State)
Olu of Ifo, (Awori, Ogun State)
Olowo of Owo, (Owo, Ondo State)
Oba of Idasha, (Dassa, Republic of Benin)
Olu of Itori, (Egba, Ogun State)
Baale of Ibadan, (Mixture, Oyo State)- Now Olubadan

Other Mentions
