Someone can be in a good marriage and still recognize and discuss the inequalities prevalent in many marriages. Even good marriages have inequalities that sometimes the partners don’t recognize right away unless they are very intuitive. Some of it being the way most of us were raised in these inequalities and we don’t mind them as much until we actually start to think about it.

those inequalities usually aren’t a problem as long as they can recognize it, discuss it and work on it to make things fair for everyone involved in that particular union.

It doesn’t have to be either or. And It doesn’t always mean it’s personal experience.

They all know this. That’s why they shame single women into marriage instead of letting them decide if that want to get married or not.

Saying that women are more advantaged in marriages in Nigeria is laughable and incredulous. While growing up, an average Nigerian female is being raised to conduct herself in ways that will be acceptable in her "husband's house. Are boys raised same way? Has any boy ever been told to act or not to act in a certain way because of his future wife? If this is not a sign that one party is going into marriages to please the other, I don't know what is.
A distressed woman will come online to post that her husband has been cheating on her. What kind of replies will you see? Keep praying, cook his favourite meals, satisfy him sexually etc. Let a man come and post same, will you see same replies? Send her back to her father's house will be the common anthem.
She gets beaten up by her husband, then she's at fault, she was not submissive enough, she must have used her sharp tongue to provoke him etc

YouTube is very helpful and you can always replay the video as many times as you want for any steps you miss. Very easy way to learn any recipe.
Just type in the food you want to make and you will find various videos to choose from. Easy peasy

such a motivation , but sadly I can't start learning how to cook now, the few times I tried it was disastrous... I feel I don't just have it in me

Also, eating out is very expensive.. Sometimes I calculate the amount of money I spend on eating out every month and it goes over the bar...but what can I do,, I can't help it... My friends think I'm eating from expensive eateries just to show off and intimidate them but they don't know that I have no other choice as I can't even eat from those local restaurants

Anyhow.. I'll be willing to learn again if you can teach me yourself ...i think we can work something out..but I must warn you that I'm a slow learner

You could learn to cook

It’s a good hobby and money saver. I have a very stressful job but you won’t believe it when I tell you cooking relaxes me. It’s not work if you don’t want it to be. And you don’t need a wife for that

hmm the last time i tried making couscous i threw away the pot. I couldn't eat it. It was so eye catching but didn't taste good.

I made it like jollof rice. With the extra sauce I used for stewing the chicken.

Cook only for 5 mins. Turn off the heat and leave it to absorb the extra juice while covered. Fluff with a fork and serve . It won’t be soggy that way and it will have the same taste as jollof rice.

Couscous can be tasteless and soggy if not made well.

Stewed and baked chicken served with couscous because I’ve been eating too much rice.
