The Governor is not far from the truth 😔

If it was said by an ordinary civilian, I would say it is beer parlour talk.
But if you know what it takes to be a local government chairman, then you would know that a governor is always well informed especially when he wants information.

For this to come from a governor, I believe him.

The injustice on Sanusi was very glaring. He was the only northern Emir who could boldly speak against the evil policies of the Buhari's administration. His constant speaking suddenly became a nightmare to the APC and the goverment and so an evil plot of dethronement was hatched. Ganduje was the instrument for this. One begins to wonder how he eventually became the APC chairman despite all the undisputed corruption allegations against him and the protection given to him by the Tinubu's administration inspite of his being suspended by the ward. No doubt, he's being rewarded for the dirty job.

Ganduje might soon become Nigeria's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.

Agreed! Everything I tell you here is also backed up with a empirical result.

I have never admired Data analytics so much.I would prefer a core coding skill.

Yeah you can't land a direct tech job in the UK on like the US that it's easy .

My good friend came to university of Bournemouth for his masters and while doing that he took a course in Cyber security and boooom after school that guy landed a good job .Him and his wife are their with their kids doing well.

fastseo:

I know u will mention programming and tech. That's what u find online but the question u should ask ur self " how easy is it to find this jobs?"

Without UK experience it's not easy to break through with those tech skills.
While coming to UK I did data analysis and couple of other tech skills. But getting this job is another story.

Remember u have just 1 year or max 2 years before visa expires?. So where is the time? Moreover you have bills pressing ur neck.

The easiest job to get was care assistant, cleaning, kitchen porter, gate men etc

Don't mention construction because u need cscs card to access any construction site before u now talk about ur experience in the field u want to go for.

See what u have in Nigeria in ur head is very different from what u see on ground.

All candidates agreed that subsidy had to go.

Buhari subtly removed it by refusing to make budgetary provisions for it. Tinubu ought to have left it at that. But announcing it sent shock waves across the country because those wicked marketers hoarded products.

Defending the naira was also a form of dollar subsidy. You may not be aware that banks were hoarding fx because of the exchange rate differential. Also, there were too many BDCs unregistered that were doing the round-tripping. Like I argued then, every major currency is floated, but the market for trading fx is not floated. It is heavily regulated. But subsidizing dollar sakes, we open and sustain a new avenue of stealing by the already corrupt class. Okay, all the dollars Cardi B pumped into the system, what economic activity were they tied to?

Nothing! Just a store of wealth by the rich. The dollar subsidy had to go to free up funds for other things.

Are you aware that funds to universities and other tertiary institutions had increased? Are you also aware that FAAC allocations to states have increased?

As for minimum wage, many people do not know that FG pays more apart from the minimum wage. There are allowances that many civil servants would never talk about. I made a topic on it yesterday.

Ask any NNPC worker about allowances.

FG can pay 200k minimum wage because they already pay cumulatively up to that to some workers in the form of cumulated allowances. But the disparity with states that cannot pay will lead to an economic crisis. When retailers jerk up prices when they hear minimum wage increment, they never ask if you are a federal or state worker.

As for failure, Tinubu has not failed. Historically, one year is for settling in, two years for governance and the last year for politicking. If anything, Tinubu has shown he is bold and daring. He has learnt to be more tactical and diplomatic.

I don't see him failing.

Bro are you sure that fellow has the cognitive ability to understand this explanation?

Because from the look of things he is part of the mob of “Peter obi or nothing “ and still believe Obi won the last presidential election.

Top up to you anyway.👍

Not everyone listen to the word of advise, this same thing is what killed a brother car that he got as tokunbo just in 3years, if you see this car, you will argue he's been using the car for 10years.

Car is now taking 1litre oil every 3days or less self.
He will drive the car for 3months before servicing, imagine car you're using everyday and driving not less than 150km everyday and Sundays sometimes 250km and you service only once in 3months...

The only thing I consider major in car is engine and gear, other things are something that aren't that expensive compare to engine and gear, so what will it take to give the engine oil every 4000km to avoid spending lots of money in future.

Everytime I advise this guy, he will say what if he has no money to do oil change when the km reach 4000km, I just looked at him like this one isn't serious yet with the tools that gives him money...

If you drive my Corolla today, he moves better than some tokunbo, the steering is very straight, everytime I see that car, I'm always happy it's still in same condition when I got it and it's fully 2years as at this month I've been using it...

Let's see how Netanyahu's stubbornness will help Israel as the country continues to lose its traditional Allies in Europe and Africa.

Once again, shame on Arab countries for doing nothing to help Palestinians.

Lastly I want to urge president Tinubu to consider recognizing the state of Palestine

If nigeria choose to recognise palestine allies like the US might just also decide to support biafra to spite nigeria.

Yes Trump cut funding yet the US remained the biggest source of fund to the Palestinians.
Trump did not completely stop the funding of the Palestinians.
He only cut funds that were used to fund the Palestine paid to slay missions.
Even under Trump, the US was still the biggest donor to your Palestinian terrorists.

Onitsha...as tiny as it is was developed by Binis,Yoruba descendants,Igala and a few number of conquered Igbos used as 'tools'.
Capitals are always bigger entities that is why it is not easy to develop them like tinier areas.
Just like comparing a room with a stadium.
Stuff the room with 20 televisions and it will be seen as filled..developed.
Stuff the stadium with 1000 televisions,it will still look as if it hasnt taken anything.
Why are your capitals...Enugu,Awka grin,
Owerri etc not as developed as Ibadan.
Especially Enugu which was the capital of the South Eastern region then. With all the govt money sunk into that capital.
Still looks like a glorified village.
Shows that Igbos are bad in developing their region but claiming fake developers in another man's region.

When you can show even the "tiny" place you managed to develop without it being a capital, come back let's talk. But you will not be able to that because you don't have any developmental skills beyond waiting for a place to be designated capital so you can get government money and claim development

That Onitsha you are calling tiny is a city of over 2 million people and has the highest number of story buildings outside Lagos. Onitsha has never been capital of anywhere. Everything is not about waiting for government money

‘They all cheers and sang along as her raps echoes till the end’
‘Scene switches to Hailey and Genesis walking out slowly from the large crowd’
Hailey: Gen, where did your courage came from!!
Genesis: from above girl……, ‘She burst into laughter as Raymond approaches them’
Hailey: is like your boyfriend want to see you….’she winked at Genesis’, enjoy
Raymond: ‘he gazed at Genesis who kept her eyes glued to Hailey faint shadow’
Hey!! Do you wanna follow her?
‘Genesis smile as she shifted her eyes back to Raymond’
Genesis: Hi Raymond….
Raymond: Hi Gen, ‘he gave her a flirty look’, you didn’t tell me Hailey was around!
Genesis: it skipped my mind….
Raymond: ‘he stretches out his hands to hold Genesis on her wrist’, I love how you compete with me over there, ‘he gazed at Genesis flirtatiously as he swings her hands and moves towards the stage’, we could both do this in my church.
‘Genesis stops walking’
Raymond: hey!! What’s wrong? You don’t look happy…
Genesis: I told you my mom would not allow me to attend your church
Raymond: hey!! ‘He held her hands in a close warmth’, I’m never letting you go no matter what, you got me always. Buh it’s fine with me anywhere you attend and we could come here to feel each other presence. Babe, I know they will throw shit at you in your church but you got me always….. ‘Raymond moves to where microphones were kept and brought out two microphones as he gave one to Genesis and held the other’
Genesis: what are we doing with this ‘she asked intuitively?
‘Raymond drew the mic closer to his lips’
Raymond: it’s been a long day without you my friend and I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again!!!!
‘Genesis beamed with smile as she adjusted the mic closer to her mouth’
Genesis: we’ve come a long way from where we began
Oh, I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again!!!!

‘Raymond drew his mic closer to his lips as his raps echoes till scene switches to Saturday Rehearsal picturing Genesis and her praise team’
‘Raymond appears to the scene as all attention drew to him’
‘Genesis gave a slack expression to Raymond and she approaches him’
Genesis: Hey!!! What are you doing here? ‘She asked from afar carefully dragging her foot towards him’
Raymond: Is this how you gonna welcome a first timer, ‘he clasped Genesis shoulder as he moves further to where the choristers sat, ‘Genesis sluggishly walks back to her seat’
‘Steven winked at Genesis as he wheeled his chair to where she sat’
Steven: Hi!! ‘He waves’, I see you have a visitor….. , ‘he said after sighting Raymond’, is that Raymond? ‘Genesis smiles as she wheeled his chair back to his space’
‘Becca appears from a dark closure with Chloe’
Becca: hello!! ‘She wiggles as she sat on an empty chair at the front’
Raymond: who is that? ‘He asked Genesis quietly’
Genesis: Becca the Choir Leader ‘she snort’
‘Becca gleam with smile as she cast a quick glance on raymond'.
Becca: Hellooo, I guess we have a new comer? ‘She waves at Raymond’
‘Raymond tucked his left hand into his pocket as he stood up’
Raymond: hello everyone!! My name is Raymond Anther, I was invited by Genesis and I’m happy to be in your midst this morning…. ‘They all clapped as Genesis pulled back his hand to have a sit’
Raymond: Hey!! Let me introduce myself…, ‘He said quietly’
Becca: welcome Raymond!! Hey Gen, where is Hailey?
Genesis: she left yesterday
Becca: ‘Becca widenes her eyes in acceptance to what Genesis said’. So I’ve been thinking of which song to choose amidst Tasha Cobbs ‘I’m getting ready or Jireh by Maverick City but considering the fact that we don’t have someone to take the rap of Nicki-Minaj, I suggest we go for the second option.
Raymond: the first song is a nice choice, ‘he nodded as he stood up after realizing that all attention was on him’
Steven: ‘he grimaced’, A first timer now controls the rehearsal, 'he chuckles', wonderful, 'he mumbled quietly'
Becca: okay Raymond! What do you suggest we do with the Rap?
Raymond: If I was a female, I would have taken up the Rap and besides a female rapper is here, ‘he pulled Genesis hands up as Genesis reluctantly stood up’
Becca: wooow…. Impressive!!! Let’s give it a try? ‘Becca led them all to rise on their feet as scene switches to the end of the rehearsal’
‘Steven ran towards Genesis and Raymond at the upfront as he ignore Raymond while he waves at Genesis’
Steven: wow!! Gen that was a nice rap, you sounded more like Cardi B, ‘Genesis smiles’, You know I told you that you can be a professional rapper….
‘Raymond snorts’

‘Raymond continuously stares at him as he walks away’
Genesis: do you have any probl em with Steven??, ‘She moves drastically ahead of Raymond’
Raymond: so he is the reason why you decided to stay, ‘he said as drew her back’
Genesis: Ray!! Watch your tongue and besides what are you doing here?, ‘She removed his hands from her wrist’
Raymond: can’t you see all my sacrifices for you, I came here because of you, I love you Genesis but I guess coming here was a mistake in the first place. I can see you are in a better place….. Take care, ‘he grimace as he walks away unevenly’

Steven: hey Genesis!! I was thinking if you are less busy we could meet up at Lake Poin Sport for a match and I would love to see you there!!
Genesis: hey!! Steven, I have a ministration on Sunday
Steven: Gen, we both have a ministration on Sunday and besides you’ve done a whole lot yesterday…… is that a Yes??
Genesis: hum… Okay but why are you just telling me now??
Steven: I wanted to talk to you about it yesterday but i got locked up when I saw Raymond
Genesis: okie…okie, see you there….. oops, ‘she screamed as she hanged up’, what do I wear now!!, ‘She plucked few of her clothes on the bed as she selected a green sweat pant with a matching varsity jacket and a Gucci sneaker.
‘She rocked her sneakers back and front trying to re-adjust her flapped sweat-pant.
‘Scene switches to Lake Poin Sport picturing ten basketball players on the field competing against one another’
‘The first team pictured were the Georgia Hawks on a thermal and a red long sleeve t-shirts while the second team were the Brooklyn Nets on thermal and a white long sleeve t-shirts.
‘the Georgia Hawks were the winning team as they led the Brooklyn team with a score of 5-2, the tussle became interesting when Louis ‘the captain of the Brooklyn Net’ threw two fantastic balls into the nets leading the team straight to a state of elation.
‘Genesis walked into the scene as camera pictures the jumbles happening at the back-stage, it was so clumsy as she managed to squeezed amidst New York Knicks waiting to play’
‘She grimaced as she finally settled on an empty seat amidst an old couple’
‘Steven appears wearing the Georgia Hawks jersey as he pounced on Genesis’

Genesis: Steve!! You know I should be home right now rehearsing, and besides why aren’t you playing?? ‘She stuttered’
‘Steven edge closer as he tried to savor his breath’
Steven: Hey!! There was a replacement and I was replaced, my team is winning this game and that’s for sure

In this scenario, what I will advise owners and intending owners to do is, do maintenance services yourself.

Always reset either Trip A or B whenever service is done and always ask your driver to send you that Trip A or B KMs every 2 weeks to see how many kms he's covering under the 2 weeks.

If he's driving averagely 2000kms to 2500kms in 2 weeks, then he's not over using the car but if he's driving above 2500kms in 2weeks he's over using the car.

And also, once he drives 4000kms in a month, ask him to bring the car for oil change ASAP, many of this drivers will consistently drive the car above 6000km within a month and they will be thinking since it's still under a month they have serviced the car, they can keep using it but manufacturer advises to change oil at every 5000kms and this is for people using fully synthetic oil.

Always keep tab of your car kms if you're doing rentals and ask him to bring it for oil change at every 4000km to avoid changing of engine...

No, I'm not advocating for the owner to handle repairs 100%. That's not even possible in today's economic reality.

What am happy about is the owner showing up and making sure everything is back to normal for the driver.

Some owners will not even bother to ask the driver how he resolved the issue talk less of showing up in person.

They would have used calls and threatening to frustrate the driver's life because Kickstarter stopped working grin

Unless the business agreement is HP (Hire Purchase), I still find it hard to believe that car owners would neglect and leave everything in the hands of the driver. After all, they are the ones who stand to lose the most in the end.

Have you asked yourself how many people live in Mozambique not to talk about its federal workers?

Ghana is 35 Million and their minimum wage in Naira is about 49,000 it has drifted from $60 to about $33 in USD. Mozambique is 30 Million poorer than many countries in Africa. We aren't just interested in Economic growth as we ought to. It is not sufficient that we spend so much on infrastructure than the people.

America is about 400 Million, their minimum wage is about $5000 per month, that is about 6.5 Million Naira, UK is about 80 Million people their minimum wage is about £340 per month about 6.6 Million Naira per month.

If South Africa is doing $1200 per month as Minimum wage why can't Nigeria be able to do half of that and then downsize the amount of civil servants, increase tax net then grow industrialization so as to foster simultaneous Economic growth.

Health / Money & Your Mental Health: 5 Ways To Improve Your Financial & Emotional Wellnes by Rosabonnigeria: 12:55pm On May 23
When it comes to money, a lot of things are involved. It goes beyond just a means of exchange to deeply impact your life and shape your daily decisions.

To a large extent, the world revolves around money and whether that’s true to your experience or not, money undeniably plays a huge role in our lives and can also have a huge impact on our mental wellbeing.

According to the Money and Mental Health Policy Institute, people with financial problems are significantly more likely to experience mental health problems. They also add that 46% of people in financial debt also have a mental health problem.

Consultant Neuro-psychiatrist, Jimoh Adejumo says that recent statistics from the World Health Organisation (WHO) show that one in every four Nigerians, an average of 50 million people suffer from mental illness. He further explains that the current economic hardship, coupled with the level of insecurity in the country could trigger a mental breakdown in more Nigerians.

‘So, how does money negatively affect my mental health?’ you may ask. In more ways than you may think! However, the good news is that this cycle can be broken.

In this blog post, we'll explore five effective strategies to enhance your financial wellness and emotional well-being simultaneously.

- talk About It

According to step change, it can be hard to talk about debt or your financial struggles. But sharing what you are going through can help you feel less alone.

The most important thing you can do to reduce the impact of money on your mental health is to take action. Don’t ignore your money problems, hoping they’ll go away on their own because they won’t.

If your income isn’t covering you until the end of the month, your bills are getting out of hand, or you have no money coming in whatsoever, the best time to deal with it is NOW for your financial and mental well-being.

Don't be ashamed or hesitate to talk to your loved ones, or therapists or seek professional help if needed. These professionals can provide expert guidance tailored to your unique circumstances, helping you make informed decisions and alleviate financial stressors that impact your mental health.

- Create A Budget & Stick To It:

Yes, we know this is easier said than done especially in a country like Nigeria where the cost of living is at an all-time high.
According to Nigerian Finder, the 5 most expensive states to live in Nigeria are Lagos, Abuja, Rivers, Imo and Cross River. While this may make budgeting a little harder to do, it is not entirely impossible.

The key to succeeding here is to create a realistic budget that allows you to track your income and expenses, identify areas for saving, and prioritize your spending. When creating your budget, allocate funds for essentials such as housing, food, and utilities, as well as for savings and discretionary spending. Sticking to your budget provides a sense of control over your finances, reducing stress and anxiety.

- Building Your Emergency Savings:

Financial emergencies can be a major cause of significant stress and anxiety if you are unprepared and this can affect your mental health. Establishing an emergency fund provides you with a safety net when you experience unexpected challenges like job loss or medical or other financial emergencies.

It is advisable to save at least three months' worth of living expenses in your emergency funds account because knowing that you have a financial cushion can alleviate worry and promote peace of mind. However, only 36% of Nigerians have at least 3 months’ worth of emergency funds according to a recent study by Cowrywise.

With the Rosabon Earning Plan - REAP, you can now easily build your emergency funds and rest easy knowing that you are covered in any case of financial emergencies.

- Practice Mindful Spending:

Mindful spending involves making intentional decisions about how you use your money, focusing on purchases that align with your values and priorities.

The University of California affirms that mindful spending is a powerful tool to break the paycheck-to-paycheck cycle. By becoming more aware of your spending habits, reducing stress and anxiety, and aligning your spending with your values and goals, you can empower yourself to manage your finances effectively and pave the way for a more stable and enriching future.

Before making any purchase, consider whether it brings you genuine joy or enhances your life in a meaningful way. Avoid impulsive buying and instead cultivate gratitude for what you already have. By being mindful of your spending habits, you can reduce financial stress and cultivate a healthier relationship with money.

- Set Realistic Goals and Practice Self-Care:

Stressing over your unachieved goals can lower your self-esteem and may trigger mental health issues like depression and anxiety.

To manage this, set very realistic financial goals and break them down into manageable steps. Celebrate your small victories along the way and should you experience any setbacks? Don’t beat yourself up too much, simply get back on track with your goals.

Prioritize self-care practices and stress management techniques to protect your emotional well-being. Engage in activities that promote relaxation and reduce stress and cultivate healthy coping mechanisms to deal with financial challenges such as exercise, meditation, or spending time with loved ones.

Remember that your mental and emotional health are invaluable assets that require nurturing and attention.

Achieving financial wellness isn't just about numbers; it's also about fostering a positive relationship with money and promoting emotional well-being. By implementing these five strategies you can improve your financial situation while enhancing your mental and emotional health.

To those of you that having been calling "Nkanu people"on this group, make no mistake, our silence so far is not a sign of cowardice. If you want to attack the Governor, attack him and leave Nkanu people alone. The three senatorial Zone will and have had their turn. And be rest assured that a governor from Nkanu extraction can never be the worst governor Enugu will produce. Keep your clannishness to yourself self, this is a public space.

From all indications this government will do better than the last administration. Healthy oppositions are welcome but anyone trying to divide Enugu along Clannish line will be totally annihilated.

Nkanu-land will continue to be the most developed part of Enugu state these was because the people were friendly and homely.
No location will play host to the University of Nigeria and still looks like Nsukka and it environ after 64years!!

Before Peter Mba, there was a certain Chimaroke Nnamani, a now narcissistic degenerate whose reign of terror in Enugu was stuff of legends. He was the worst Enugu State governor of all time before Mba's one year of do-nothingness posed a potent challenge.
If your ronu-style grandstanding serves to impress, intimidate, or parry criticisms of Mba's towering malfeasance, then better put on your best armour and step out to the front as a proud clan warrior because your tough talk has achieved nothing so far. As long as Peter Mba remains the governor of Enugu State, we will continue to put his feet through fire like a sacrificial fowl. His inglorious feat at the polls is enough to condemn him to infamy; and the fact that sentimental sods like you could attempt to shout down criticisms of his cluelessness with threats and bigoted innuendos makes his agenda look all the more sinister.
