Soon as she set that world record and won the world championship, she should have ensured she made herself available at all times. Doping tests are not done in specific countries. Your phone number, email is supposed to be available 247 because you are now a world champion.Even if you are at the airport about to travel once they call you either cancel your flight or report to the nearest sample collection centre at your destination. For her sake, hope it's not her fault but missing 5 test dates looks suspicious. Her excuse of also having been tested multiple times does not exonerate her actions. The whole idea of random scheduling is to catch athletes unawares because if they know fixed dates of blood collection, some of them can find ways of coming out dope free and then take the drugs when they know they won't be tested. |
There is a pattern o this price increase and a simple formula Nigerians should use as a guide: The difference between market dollar rate and market price of fuel is ~₦200. So if the naira edges close to ₦1000/$ as may happen before December, then expect fuel to sell at around ₦800-₦810/litre. At that time I would want to hear people defending Tinubu now and saying it's not his fault. |
The honeymoon is almost over. Now with suffering touching everyone like the heat wave in the western world, criticisms are now coming from all and sundry and his hurriedly implemented policies are now being critically looked into and loopholes and defects that were blinded by ethnicism, party affiliation, sentiments and religion are now being clearly seen. A seat that turned one scam of an integrity man into the worst president Nigeria has had,is now about to tackle another one they claimed turned Lagos into a topmost capital with another propaganda of even having kept Lagos affloat with his economic genius when its revenue allocation was withheld. I wish Tinubu well for our sakes, but the initial gra gra is already getting tested with poor scores, just 2 months to his tenure |
Speakz:NYSC remains one of the best things ever invented in Nigeria. Still having nostalgia of going to stay one month in the North. It's like nostalgia someone that used to go regularly to his/her village has,you just feel like going back there to relieve the good times you had. Boko Haram came and made things scary, but the north and the people there is just a fun place. Same way if you are from other regions and visit a different region in Nigeria,it's just fun, particularly if you go with an open mind. Miscreants and some politicians are the ones promoting ethnic division and hatred to a larger extent than it actually exists. |
Don't even know if he is the one having mental issues or is the newspaper that doesn't know it's left from right or even the op that reprinted this story because they are just mixing up $60BILLION and $60MILLION,so one doesn't know which of any of the three is the right figure. Even if it's $60m Obla may have thrown up the figure so that he gets his own cut from the contract for the recovery from the American firm. There may not have been any such money anywhere. Malami may have seen the scam and refused authorisation. Even if Malami is also corrupt,he could have seen this Obla request for the scam it is. |
See this fraudster and clown. Just because some of these idiots know some Nigerians can't think on their own, particularly when the contenders to an issue are from different ethnic groups. Automatically some people would believe this criminal that can't recover even ₦1m if given the chance. A certificate forger claiming holy. What a laugh! If Buhari didn't appoint most of these criminals and allowed them free reign to do anything they like, due to his gross incompetence, people like Obla would have been serving long jail terms by now. |
EcoNews:Must everything be about tribe for heaven's sake! So you shouldn't ask questions again if the cost of a project looks like a rip off simply because it's being done by your tribesman or being carried out in your state? |
lexy2014:The police in their various formations since those that were used by the politicians and top shots would then be incorporated back into the general security and not private duty. |
SmartyPants:Indeed school is not for everyone. So when educated people are coming out,you would count yourself as one?Despite the op making bold important aspects of the release for your understanding, you still fail to read and understand. |
Every IGP does this same rubbish. Why can't this people come out with unique ideas for God's sake! So they expect former office holders with means to be going about unsecured with rate of kidnapping and frustration in Nigeria? The other reasonable alternative is a policy document that empowers private security guards to carry arms,so that they can be employed as guards by these set of exposed people. |
Your point was to celebrate Soludo but 90% of the pictures you used are of structures or facilities fully existing before Soludo even took office. Why do we celebrate mediocrity in Nigeria, even in this 2023! What is Soludo's strategic initiative to grow the Anambra economy? What is his strategic plan to resist the sit at home?I have not seen any. Even if Kanu is released today, sit at home won't totally stop because it's been taken over by criminals and thugs, using Kanu's release and ekpa orders as excuses.Yet,no governor in SE seems to realise this and are only focussed on having Kanu released or countering that small boy in Finland. What is the initiative to develop industrial and business hubs of Onitsha,Nnewi and incorporate other hubs if possible? Even in places like Nnewi, despite its popularity as an industrial/manufacturing hub, most of it is still rural(in the sense of not being infrastructural linked to sites of manufacturing and business). I have not seen anything Soludo has done that has been unique or marked him out as one of the most forward thinking governors. The roads you are even talking about, how many are they? They are even likely to be road projects marked out by previous governments that couldn't be completed or started. This same temporary site road you are glorifying him for has had regular upgrades in almost all other governments right from Ngige,so what are you celebrating! |
princejohnard:The reason they keep throwing trash down our way because they know no matter how nonsense the story is,there are people that would believe it. You contract someone for ₦100m.The question is how many people can that guy influence to buy property from this estate company?Practically none. I am guessing that behind the charade of endorsement deal, there are provisions like he has to directly get people that buy property from them up to the tune of say ₦200m-₦500m in a year before he gets his own share. So to me it's more like a commission based agreement than a real endorsement deal, they just use the gimmick of endorsement to publicise their company which many people are hearing for the first time. |
So all the while they claim she has been lacing their food with hypo, they didn't perceive the odd taste of the food? Even a mad, hungry man would not been able to eat a hypo laced food aside from being in serious health crisis if his food is laced with hypo. Rubbish tale. |
All the "zero sugar" soft drinks even taste awful because of the odd sweet taste, not even knowing they even have something more worse health wise. Made a mistake taking one of those rubbish and since then anytime I have to take a drink always look at the cover to ensure its not zero rubbish. Rather put 10 cubes of sugar in water and drink it than take a zero sugar. For those diabetics that they advice to take these zero sugars or peoplr trying not to add weight taking it,these aspartame is even worse,so they should please desist from them. |
How can any normal person go out without informing anyone where u are going to. Even if as a woman you are going to meet a man in a hotel or you are going to an ashawo joint as a guy, there must be someone you can confide such things to,so that if unfortunately anything happens there would be someone that can say where you went and the search starts from there. Someone would just leave the house to go somewhere and no one is aware! |
Harrynight:Many if not most have to take transport to the banks to get cash on a daily or at least regular basis. So increasing their price is justified, but the idea of fixing uniform prices for Lagos State is just foolish. Let each pos operator fix commission he/she feel is economically viable. |
Even in the most capitalist of economies in the western world price fixing by groups of companies or association of same business concern is met with severe sanctions because it negates the whole ideal and principles of free market economy. But here electricity distribution companies would fix uniform prices, motor unions at parks would fix prices,Cement manufacturers almost have same prices and this pos people have followed the same ignominious footstep. Why would pos charge be same in Ikoyi and ajegunle or Ikorodu,Lekki or alimossho? |
I don't even understand the story. So this journalist wants us to believe that within a space of less than a year this guy got Tanzania and Dubai citizenship? How possible is this for just 10months or less when he wasn't even residing permanently in any of these countries. |
Rather eat corn alone than with coconut. Anytime I see people eat corn with coconut I just imagine what they find pleasant in that tiring combination. Corn with pear, both boiled, both roasted or roasted corn with boiled pear is just God's gift to Nigeria! |
Buddha3:That's how some of you people will just open your stinking mouths and be spilling rubbish with all confidence. They ask you to substantiate your claims now,you would be stammering like a goat being taken to the slaughter. |
Yes,Ikpeazu was a disaster but what the health commissioner did was just being disengenous and mischievous. Of course, folks like that thrive on the ignorance of many. They feel that because they are coming from abroad, folks down here will see them as all knowledgeable, that everything they say is fact and that the standards they are coming from is without fault. If not she wouldn't have been so bold faced to utter such cheap lies, even while standing before structures that are visible to all. The structures may not be fully fitted and ready, but it wouldn't take much to put it to use! If that lady goes on to make the state government to award another humongous contract for the refitting and structural changes in that structure we all are seeing, then it means she is another glorified criminal who has come down here to do what she dare not attempt from where she is coming because she feels people here can be easily hoodwinked by appearances and certifications got abroad. |
garriAndsugar:That's rubbish! So she needs to know if it's the filter that got spoilt and know how to change a tap? The only area she should have be more circumspect is finding out the prices of the items the plumber claimed he wanted to change. |
That is criminality. Unfortunately many Nigerian handymen are into this. They continue creating more damage deliberately so you can keep running back to them. From mechanics to plumbers to electricians and even borehole installers.Though some are completely incompetent. |
Starking1000000:See how he cunningly said they(meaning himself and his spirit self)are still consulting. Why didn't he say he has ordered sit at home in Lagos for all Biafrans at least in Lagos for even just a day? The f ool was given space and we told them then, resist one clown ordering you people around and giving orders. But no,the Iboman abandoned his historical and proud Republican nature of decisions being a collective of wisemen and allowed one Kanu to be giving orders. To now further put a perpetual dent on their intellect, pride and proud heritage, they allowed a glorified secondary school graduate that travelled abroad to finland to be ordering them around. In good times and with a proud heritage, majority ibos would have organised themselves into vigilantes and fought anyone ordering any sit at home to even point of dent because of the terrible harm it has done to lives and businesses. Bakassi boys did it when one tout was terrorising Anambra State. The people enforcing sit at home are not ghosts, they are known. |
Instead of making it free, why not make it non profit? At least with it being non profit, the fares would be quite affordable to just take care of the cost of diesel and repairs and the government only expense would be the cost of purchase of these buses. At free transport cost, this may be gulping up to 1billion per month to fuel and maintain! |
Senseless and already disqualified. But we know all these are for the publicity. None of these clowns are interested in breaking the GWR because they don't even understand how the process goes. They are only interested in publicising themselves bodily mainly and hope other things will follow therefrom. |
very true |
Ihateheadslamer:The thing is this kind of fabrications will continue till God knows when, unless someone is made a scapegoat by way of arrest, prosecution and jail term or hefty fine. |
I like tweeter unlike nland because your details are attached and through it you can be traced and easily picked up when you deliberately spread fake news. This is of course fake news and the tweeter poster should be invited to account for the source and truth of his story. |
Angelfrost:Aside from fear of police roping someone trying to help into the matter or even charging the person to court, even some of the neighbours may accuse the helper of contributing to the death, that it's because of what was done that led to the death. So don't blame people that run away from rendering any sort of help |
