Celebrities › Re: Nurse Who Treated Mohbad Arrested – Iyabo Ojo by seborrhic: 8:32pm On Sep 21, 2023
Arrested or invited for questioning?
In Nigeria every accused is guilty.
From information from more credible sources, the injection the nurse gave was tetanus toxoid, usually given to prevent someone that has a deep or dirty wound from contracting tetanus,a deadly disease caused by a very dangerous toxin.
If true, then the injection was just unfortunately coincidental and not the cause of his death.
If also true that it was tetanus toxoid injection the nurse gave,if they had called her and she refused to give any treatment, telling them to take him to a hospital, some of these same people would have been claiming that if the nurse called had just given him one or two injections or "first aid" before being taken to a hospital, his life would have been saved for him to go to the hospital and be fully checked and treated.
Nobody too is questioning why someone of Mohbad's fame and status would invite a nurse to have him treated at home.
It's a trait common with many Nigerians, even those enlightened.Once they have any little means and know a "nurse",even a nurse "Eliza",any complaint they or even their family members have, they refuse going to be checked by a doctor in a hospital, they pick their phone, call the nurse to come and treat them at home, for their own convenience and where they can dictate when and how to receive such treatment and for how long.
This nurse is just unfortunate to have been caught in an unfortunate series of events.

Very convenient and obviously politically motivated to score cheap point by the state goverment.
So they want to claim there is no APC member elected or even appointed by the state government involved?
If the goverment were really concerned primarily with apprehending the culprits, why mention the political party of the member. Why don't just mention the names and leave the press to dig out their political affiliation.
Meanwhile it's not even the place of a government spokesman to announce the names of arrested suspects. It's the police hierarchy or pro's work

Fake news should be a crime liable to 5 years imprisonment. There is no way someone will do 72 hours and still go to church
5 years jail term! That's a laugh.Minimum should be 10 with hefty fines proportionate to the damage done.
You probably don't know the impact fake news has on lives and livelihoods.
Fake news destroys and kills more than oppression, victimisation or even some physical abuse.
When I see or read people casting aspersions or calling authorities or individuals liars and cover -ups when they give facts to debunk fake news,I just shake my head in pity because I realise these are people that have not run an organisation or been in positions before where one single fake news can destroy careers, lead to closure of companies or even suicidal thoughts and actions when individual lives, livelihood or career are impacted.

After third term he would now get the parliament to amend the constitution to either limit term limits or even president for life.
These are some of the actions that fuel military coups in Africa, though the military guys that take over don't actually have plans to make the country and citizens better, they are just fuelled by the anger because they feel a small set of people have been enjoying their country's wealth and resources to the exclusion of another set of privileged individuals.

The same gas price dindirins were jumping up and down and praising baba blubulu when it came down to 650/kg,that he has brought his magic wand that soon it will still go down to 350/kg.
They also said that's same way petrol and dollar prices would go down.
I was just somewhere laughing my head off that even when some Nigerians clearly see the color white in broad daylight, they would still believe when someone comes and tells them that that white they are seeing is actually dark grey!
Very gullible set of human beings, easily swayed by conmen disguising as leaders.
So long as the naira continues depreciating,so too would prices of virtually everything.
The Association of Past Criminals, aka, APC,played the same gullible Nigerians for f ools again when they brought BUA chairman and claimed after meeting Tinubu,he has promised to drop cement price to ₦3500.
If cement ever sells for even ₦4500 in Nigeria again, let Tinubu rule for ever!

u are big fool, so someone that bullied and threatened u privately and public with a questionable character can’t go extra mile to do the unthinkable?
The family and close friends are just using you people's head and yet you don't realise it.
An adult for that matter.
Ask yourself this question:where friends not with him when he died?Somebody must have been with him that knows the facts on how he died, not necessarily from autopsy. Why has none of them been bold enough to come out and say for eg,he vomited after complaining of headache etc, taken to this place and died there.
Not even the exact location of his death has been revealed. You know why?Because it would debunk the narrative that everyone is pushing out.
It's common when people die in hospitals after having neglected to handle an ailment or having been poorly managed.
Everyone now conveniently puts the blame on the hospital and doctor where he died because it suits their narrative and covers the truth.

Father is saying he heard he was given injection by a nurse, that he doesn't know the hospital he was taken to,but is quick to be collecting cash from sympathisers and quickly gave go ahead to bring his corpse to Ikorodu to be buried.
Your popular son,a public figure fell ill or treated by someone, you can't tell the medical facility or the person that treated him and what he complained of that needed medical attention
Any reasonable person with commonsense would start to know there is something fishy going on from the family's side.
But,no,the scapegoats if not the killers should be Marley,Sam Larry and NDLEA,that the family and close confidantes are conveniently putting out or telling lazy bloggers,to most probably divert attention from their culpability or the real cause they know would tarnish all these good personae he is getting after death.
I bet anything if a formal request for exhumation of the body for autopsy is made, the family would refuse because they are afraid of the truth and rather revel in the online onslaught and accusations being thrown around.
No YOUNG man dies from an ear infection or natural causes.Only one of three things can kill someone of that age:an accident,an underlying serious medical issue, like heart or any of the cancers,or hard drugs abuse or overdose.

Why will Sam flee to Ghana?Did he murder mohbad or was involved in his death by in any way?
I have said it severally,Nigerians don't and cannot stand the truth.

I don't quite agree.
Go to the Carribean countries, populated and ruled by blacks.
You will find the same superstitious beliefs, the same abysmal rule and the same utter, unbelievable underdevelopment and you begin to sometimes ask yourself or wonder:is it truly the same brain God gave the Blackman and the Whiteman?
Then contrast this and go to South Africa, ever since apartheid was abolished, the country seems to be heading down a slope, though still far more developed than other black Nations due to the extra ordinary development projects already done during the apartheid era.But superstition is still ride in those black neighbourhoods and the underdevelopment is obvious.
The blacks need to ask ourselves the question, why do we seem to belief in things we can't prove and that defy logic, despite God giving us assumed same brain as the Caucasians?
Why can't we successfully govern ourselves to lead to development and growth of both society and people?

Desperados:
I saw this list from someone who posted and it dated back to 39 years ago.

Since then, I have been reminiscing on the standard of living then and wondering if we can ever go back to such time again or will things keep getting harder?

I remember then we weren't called the best nation in Africa in terms of economy but the standard of living then compared to now was far sweeter even though Nigerians still complained back then.

What do you think about this?
This thing has been overflogged, year in,year out in this same nairaland but some of you have simply refused to use your commonsense.
What was the minimum wage 39 years ago and what is it now.Was minimum wage 39 years ago,₦21k?Of course no!!
The way to apply common, cheap, free,God given sense to every living human being is this:find out what the minimum wage in Nigeria that year was and calculate the percentage of that used to buy those items,to buy cement,to buy a car,to rent a house etc.
You will find the difference is not much.
Things were also tough then, maybe not as tough as now,but it wasn't as easy as this your kindergarten post is trying to make it look.
For God's sake, don't look at the prices per se,look at the purchasing power against the average wage during the periods to have an objective assessment.
Or are u expecting bread that was ₦1 thirty nine years ago to still be ₦1 today!!!?

Politics › Re: The Diversity Of Nigeria Is Worth Celebrating. An Encounter With A Taraban by seborrhic: 9:25am On Sep 13, 2023
FSU:
I met a Nigerian couple today. As soon as I engaged them I felt something was different with the wife. I asked where they were originally from in NG. The man replied with "Imo", and the wife with "Taraba". I almost screamed in shock. That was my first time ever of seeing or talking to anyone from Taraba.

The diversity of NG is truly amazing and worthy of appreciation. Only if the evil politicians and their equally evil hangers-on can be retired.

Which brings me to the question of the day. How many states of NG have you physically interacted with people from?

I have been to and interacted with people from all 17 southern states, and with people from Kogi, Kwara, Adamawa (just one person😀😀😀), Jigawa, Kano, Bornu, Niger, and Kaduna. I have been to Abuja but never interacted with a native, as also with people from the remaining 11 northern states. I'm just imagining how somebody from Zamfara thinks, talks, or look like.

God bless Nigeria minus the evil politicians and their brainwashed supporters.
My brother, just the picture of that gate alone brought back nostalgia of my stay in the North, not even Taraba but what you would consider a pure Muslim state.
I remember entering the North by 11pm and still able to get a cab to our final destination, total strangers entering that Northern state for the first time,an hour and half away on a stretch of lonely but good roads.
I remember traversing states like Zamfara, Katsina,Kaduna, then Sokoto and how intrigued and fascinated I was with the aforementioned states.
The locals were surprisingly accommodating and friendly.Going to the various markets was fun and a joy with their foods and even getting to see their own varieties of food ingredients one was used to.
Surprising too,you find at least one of your tribesman or woman selling in those markets, everyone concerned with just doing business.
This was during the YarAdua then GEJ era.
No fear of anything and no contempt for you, just interest and friendship.
I will always say it,Buhari is the WORST thing that ever happened to Nigeria in ALL aspects.
If not for Buhari, one of my plans has always been to spend a full month in the North, staying in at least 5 states for a week or at the worst going back to that lovely state of Zamfara and Katsina, interacting with the people and visiting those places one used to frequent then, but alas, the fear is too much a burden to overcome.

Commonsense should make you wonder that how come all those narrating heard the story from second or third parties or those they were present arrived when the person had had the joystick restored after the alleged perpetrator was beaten and retouched him,the alleged victim now saw the penis had been restored.
How come no one, even in this phone camera and video age has been able to snap a picture of a missing penis. Why only videos of the crowd that gathered or the person after "restoration"?

Even if there is evidence that Tinubu slept with a newborn or there are pictures of murder he committed for rituals, the Nigerian court set up is not the one that will ever overturn a president once declared.

Alas, you come to ask yourself if you are reading or listening to an expert in an institution or another glorified importer-exporter of tokunboh cars or okrika goods.
So according to this acting governor, it's the non availability of dollar or pounds cash that is the reason for the daily depreciation of the naira(about 70% in just 3months!).
Once there is no need to be using dollar cash again, the naira will rebound and be as strong as before!!
If I didn't read this myself,I would have concluded this statement was made by a primary school drop out,not a CBN governor.

Traditional Rulers should be able to organize the locals to build roads even if it is only broken Rocks and Gravel that they use
