Bayo Ogunlesi is just managing other people's money. How much of his money is involved? He does not own any of the investment companies he manages. An Igbo trader in Onitsha counting billions and waiting for his containers is better off.lol
mekusxxx:
Helping Credit Suisse and GE manage their joint investment. They can fire him anytime.lol
Yeah right. You are also being hired, they can fire you anytime- get off your laptop.

By the way you illiterate- its likely you dont know this because you dont work in prestigious fields- when you get to that position they dont just fire you. Also he likely has stock options given to him in credit-suisse.

For once, just shut up and admit that she's brilliant.

Read her resumee again, not all PhD students can boast of that.
I scanned it. One thing though, quite typical for PhD students at good Universities. It makes sense- but still calling how Nigerian young person of the year- its just sad that this is what we are impressed with lol

sjeezy8:
shes kinda hot congrats to her.
I thot so too, but if you see a real picture of her you will say chineke hehe

Bloody liar. You went and quoted Sjeazy8 (yourself). Your initial post was in response to mine on Kase. You aint smart, really.
know, I was reading sjeezy8's post, and then I replied message. Ur post came up- you really are not that smart are you?

mekuszyx:
Ok never heard of Kase too until now. 50=50
such a liar

mekuszyx:
Ok, I am done with prasing or not praising others. I should be singing my own praise. Who the hell are FRONTERS Lawal and Offor, anyways? Ok I responded to let Sefago know that Fronter Kase has an Igbo fronter equivalent-Offor

Bayo Ogunlesi? I will soon find an Okoro equivalent for him. Hhahahah!
what? Who cares about your obscure nigerian degree, and your obscure masters degree from an obscure university in the UK+ your obscure PhD in an obscure school with an obscure MBA from an unnotable school.

beg let us focus on achievers like Kase Lawal and Bayo Ogunlesi. Even Emek Offor, if he was fronting you think it is easy to front lol grin

And who does not know Emeka Offor in NAIJA? May be only you. He is fronting for the other crooks much the same way as Kase Lawal.

Then the FBI barges in.

And suddenly, this obscure company's story becomes oddly interwoven with one of Washington's biggest scandals, a bribery probe targeting a Louisiana congressman.

Nine years after wading out to Sao Tome to make its fortune, ERHC — with just two employees — has yet to sink a well. Whether it ever will remains uncertain.

ERHC's legal troubles came to light in May, when FBI agents, clad in bulletproof vests carted off 118 boxes of documents from the company's Westheimer offices. The government was investigating possible "things of value" paid to officials in Nigeria and the tiny island-nation of Sao Tome, according to an FBI affidavit filed in U.S. District Court in Houston.
A little-known Houston oil company lands a potential blockbuster deal in the crude-rich waters off West Africa and appears poised for a big payoff.
From your source, an obscure texan company is accused of fraud. However Kase Lawal is quite open, and his dealing can be easily scrutinized by the American Gov, because he is quite visible, and like most Yoruba rich men very visible. Your obscure igbo fraduster was a crook in teh background. If he was well known, more people would have been interested in his wealth.

However, I would admit- since there is no proper documentation of Kase Lawal's wealth like most Nigerians  grin grin grin, its liklely some stuff happened under the table

A business man is somebody who does business. It is not defined by who actually owns the business. Both Lawal and Offor are fronters but I also expect them to be intrinsic part of the business after fronting for so many years. It is good for them, though, they are employing naijas.
However Offor is not in the same class as Kase Lawal. Stop comparing apples to oranges mekusxyz

If he were American or European, he would be on the Forbes list of the 400 richest people in the world. He estimates his net worth at three billion dollars ($3 billion), although a recent report obtained by Elendureports.com, puts his net worth at about six billion dollars ($6 billion). This former “Julius Berger truck driver” claims to have been a former petty contractor until fortune smiled at him. He reportedly was given a nineteen million naira contract in 1983, and thus opened the gates to unimaginable wealth.

So what was the point of the article? You make money through connections, and luck mate. I doubt anyone made their money through ultimate sheer hardwork. Kase Lawal was at the right place at the right time

Wow! I never knew soo many Nigerians were interested in getting an MBA. But is there really any need to denigrate aspiring petroleum engineers? I'm starting an MS in Petroleum Engineering this year but I want to do an MBA after getting four to six years experience in the oil service industry so I can set up a firm that is truly competitive on a global scale. If I don't get into the likes of Harvard, Wharton, Sloan, Kellog et al I wont even bother wasting my money. I've compromised my education too much already because of cost e.g. passing up on UCL for a less expensive university.
SEFAGO you seem to be on any and every board regarding higher education LOL. I'm pretty sure I read some comments - a lot of comments - you made on collegeconfidential a while ago about the superiority of US universities over those in the UK (btw I agree with you- US beats the UK hands down).
Well there are too many of you guys- everyone in Nigeria wants to work in the oil industry lol even me subconsciously. Or if that does not work out a bank.

Yeah I am all over the place. Its good you passed UCL though, the American embassy has it on their watchlist- jokes hehe
I will always ignore taunts and face facts.

Without sounding immodest, I think the people that gave the eight years of Obasanjo life and credibility were mainly Igbo:

1. Dora Akunyili - NAFDAC
2. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala - Finance - Debt forgiveness etc
3. Charles Soludo - CBN - (bank consolidation, etc
4. Ernest Ndukwe - NCC (ie GSM revolution)
5. Oby Ezekwesili - Due Process
___________________________________
Non Igbo
6. Nuhu Ribadu - EFCC (North)
7. Nasir el-Rufai - BPE/FCT (North)

Pls if you have any minister/DG etc that performed excellently well in that regime to the eyes of most Nigerians, kindly put his/her name and ethnic group below.

Thanks
A significant amount of people in Obasanjo's cabinet were igbos, so this is expe ted. Why don't you give credit to the man who was responsible for selecting these ministers, as well as giving the confirmation for them to ago ahead with any projects.

what do u think of Ethiopia? the original AFRICAN PRIDE? huh
really I think Nigeria can work. ethnic sentiments is one of the least of our problems right now. but i do believe that igbos are a most ethnocentric group and they need to let go of that idea.
superbly poor country hehe good example. Except of course the biafrans are superior africans. Anything would work if we set them free lol. I would not call the Igbo ethnocentric, just ignorantly arrogant. They assume that they are intrinsically better than Yoruba+Hausa so their own republic would naturally work even without proper planning. Corruption would disappear, everyone would be happy yada yada. Why its rare to find Yoruba people clamoring for an independent state is because we know how it would suck to be ourselves. Nigeria's diversity is our strength. No Yoruba, Igbo or Hausa or Minority president can rule as long as Mubarak. Why the other ethnic groups would not allow that happen lol. There are upsides and downsides to multiethnic identities.
Politics › Re: Igbo Extraction And Leadership Problem by SEFAGO(m): 3:15am On May 20, 2010
The desire for a separate state is because Nigeria has since proven itself truly "unworkable", and don't read too much into what I said. No where did I say I was unsure. All I did was answer your question in saying that secession seems less likely for a country that practices true federalism.
I apologize but this sounds inane on several counts. Nigeria is indeed unworkable but in what way? It has a bad economy- is this because of tribalism/genocide? Everything sucks- tribalism/genocide the problem?

Basically you are telling us that the brillant biafrans would outdo other africans- but why? What makes Biafra intrinsically likely to be more successful than other African states or Nigeria in particular? Because you are of teh same ethnic group?

Nigeria does have its problems but they do not predominantly emanate from tribe so separation is not a solution. Like because the whole does not work, breaking it into components will make it work sebi. Infact if you go to an international court and ask for secession on those grounds they would laugh at you hysterically.
