Not necessary. As long as your Visa is still valid at point of entry, travel. It's at POE you will you have to explain why you deferred and also show proof of fund. So to help your matter, try pay your tuition before you eventually travel and of course you will show them at POE updated pof as well.
Thank you so much for your input. The full tuition has been paid. The pof I will work it out. Just planning ahead based on the timelines i have been seeing recently.

As long as you defer to a session/intake when your visa is still valid then you should be fine

Thank you so much, Do i need to inform the IRCC at all?

Does anyone have experience deferring a program after a visa has been granted due to not meeting up with the final enrolment date? I just want to know if one needs to go through the whole visa process or if the passport will have to be re-stamped.

I have received my love letter. PPR received 12:41pm. April 26, 2022.

Portal - New Portal
Application Date - April 26, 2022
Biometrics - not needed since I had a visitor visa in 2016 and Biometrics is still valid
Upfront Medical - May 25, 2022
Upfront Medical Passed - June 23, 2022
PPR - August 02, 2022
Sponsor - self Sponsored
Age - 39
I used an agent who helped with admission and application

It has been God all the way.

I stumbled on this thread a month after submissions when there was no movement with my application. I did not submit the numerous documents seen on the thread and doubted my application will be approved at a point especially home ties.

I got frustrated when my medicals was not updated for at least one month. I sent various emails to Accra, Lagos, Nairobi, Abuja and filled numerous forms. My faith was tested and still I believed that God who started this will perfect it.

Documents summited include
1. Bank Statement (Salary and Savings account)
2. Payslips
3. Letter of Explanation on sums paid
4. Offer Letter from Company
5. Acceptance Letter from School
6. School fees balance payment (Submitted through Webform)
7. International Medical Insurance Certificate
8. School Certificates
9 Professional Membership Certificate

I pray for all waiting that the God that did not fail me will show up for you too.

The wait is over

Congratulations. Did you submit any documents to proof home ties. Or how did you proof that?

You can apply together.

Thank you.

I always advice to finish your application first and apply for an open work permit for your spouse.

During your study permit application, you will need to prove strong ties to your country of origin i,e Family tie, job/employment ties, asset ties and so on, Your wife and children back home gives you a stronger application than if applying together with your wife.

Yes i know but in this case we want to go together. Its just both of us. We are applying from UK though.

You will include your spouse in your SOP.

Are you applying with your spouse as a dependent on the same application?

I am looking at putting the application at the same time, I haven't checked the portal so i don't know if there is a section to apply together right away or I have to finish mine first then start his own afresh.

I need an urgent help friends, Please do i need to include my spouse in the study visa SOP? Or he will have to write another SOP and state the reason why he will be accompanying me. I am kinda confuse about how best to approach this. I will appreciate if any one with experience can advise.

Good day, everyone. Could someone clarify if the student's dependent needs to write a separate SOP and LOE? Or one is sufficient.

Is it a must for me to show 1year living expense even though my PGD is just 8months. Will 8months living expense fly?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by segzyndpep(m): 6:04pm On Jun 19, 2023

No fixed amount.

3,000 will be ideal.

Will the cost of the plane ticket be included in the POF or the miscellaneous will be sufficient (cover that)?,  Or you are simply advising him on how much he will require for a family of five.
This thing dey carry me go where i no no oo ahh.

So $3KCAD should fly for couple right?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by segzyndpep(m): 12:54pm On Jun 19, 2023
Bobomaigida:

Hello T,
1. For a family of 5, you will need funds as shown below
Cost of Tuition = C$20,000
Living exp for PA = C$10,000
Living exp for Spouse = C$4,000
Accompanying kids = C$9,000
Flight Tickets = C$7,000
Miscellaneous =C$ 6,000
Total = C$56,000* 493 (Rate as at today) =N27,608,000
It can be more than this, but know that whatever funds you have, you have to show how you raised the funds ie sources of funds

2. If you are targeting January intake, then you should the admission by now, and the POF should have been in your account by now, or latest July ending. (You can use lump sum so long as you can explain the sources exhaustively.) While you are gathering other documents

3. In addition to the properties, you have to employ other things to use a home ties, your job that you will be coming back to? Your association memberships etc

Can you advice miscellaneous amount for couple without kid.

Sorry brother...It is really sad. Don't give up, just a little more work on the POF and you are there. It has affected everybody. Even some of us with outstanding applications are waiting with bated breath to see how they respond. School fees payment is also there waiting on one corner. It is well with us.

Honestly i don't know what to do because if i source for lump sum it may affect the application. 'its 4months old POF already and I'm ready to submit application ahh.

I believe your question has been answered.

Yes thank you. But it hasn't been updated since 16/06/2023.
Is it something to be worried about because honestly this FX has made POF totally useless and a whole lot has gone into it already.

That is the Bank of Canada rate which IRCC uses.

The rate is according to
https://www.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/cgi-bin/recgen/er.pl?Language=E

Is this rate more legit than Oanda converter? Because it seems this rate is a little less than Oanda.
Kindly advice.

My sister did not use anything as home ties, I got a call from IRCC to confirm if I was not violating my visa and they approved her visa immediately. I was confused why they were calling at first until my sister told me she got a message that her visa was approved.

Thank you for your reply. Did she mention you at any time? i wonder why they call you.
