So what will she eat or take care of herself after transferring the 6m to you?
Proof of funds is not just about showing big figures but about how you are able to distribute it accordingly.
Let's do it this way:
You have paid 20k already and have a balance of 5k to pay, so you need to provide 5k + 10k(living expenses for a year).
Let's say the 3m in your account covers your living expenses, so you need CAD 5k and flight fare+let's say CAD 2k) = CAD 7k
Let your sister transfer the naira equivalent of CAD 7k to you , that way she will still have some cash in her personal account for herself and other dependants.
I want to believe your program is for a year, but if it is not then let your sister act as the main sponsor and you as the co-sponsor. This way you don't have to show funds beyond the first year but your sister (the main sponsor) will have to show how she intend to pay for subsequent years+by showing how she makes her money......if she works then she needs to show proof and how much she gets paid for it, if she is into business she also needs to show proof).

I have the tuiton money for a year program, can i tell a colleage to transfer the livinf expense and the flight fare to me?will that work?also i have a company and a company account and the money is in there.whats your advice for me before i apply?thanks in advance sir

To the best of my knowledge, a family friend is a third party sponsor, and that would require him to make some sort of commitment by either paying for part of your tuition or transferring some funds to your account and showing proof that he has done so. Gurus in the house please help out.

Hmmm....My case is similar to the Op, just that I don't think she has any debts to pay. She is a Nigerian living in America and with kids. She is a little older than me, but look so young and beautiful like a goddess. She has a job of her own.

We been getting along well. We have alots of things in common that I feel we will never have any problem living together. Initially I was excited at the thought that I will get to America through her, but right now My feeling for her is much more than that. She is so down to earth and God's fearing. I am Falling love with her already.

There have been alots of negative advice from all quarters about getting married to her. Some are worried about the kids that they may not respect me or something, other said she may just want to use me. I discussed all my fear with her and she assured me of her support. I am only worried about the way she will treat me, which she also promised to treat me right.

I know it is a big risk getting married to her, but life is a risk itself. With all the degrees I have acquired in Nigeria at age, I still don't have a job to feed me properly, not to talk of getting married.

Make the sacrifice and leave this Nigeria first..once you are there you will be alright

See this oga.
You think its Nigeria .
EVERYONE in America has or had one big debt or the other.
The Obamas had debts, Trump had and still has debts.
Debt is how that country progresses. If you dont pay, not only can't you progress, you wont even get a good job.
Infact without having credit card debt, you cant get a good job because most employers check credit score now and to have a good credit score you must have at least one debt.
Whats bad is when you dont pay.
The average American has a Credit Score of over 630 which is ok.
Fair is 650 and above.
Good is 700+
Excellent is above that.

Even the millionaires have debt, they all pay mortgage on their homes including Tiger Woods and Magic Johnson and Tom Brady.

The whole idea is that government doesn't want you to have to save all your life before buying the good things of life.

The average 23 to 30 year old already can buy a brand new car and house worth N100 million naira.

There is nothing bad in debt, whats bad is not paying or borrowing more than your capacity.

Thank you for this information

Amnesty International should be wiser than falling for the sentiments Timi and Busola have strongly whipped up.

It is Nigeria for crying out loud.
Where broken down police vans are hand-pushed,
Where the police demand money from complainants to fuel their vehicles so they can effect an arrest.

Those policemen came all the way from Abuja.
So it could be the complainant provided a means of transportation for them or they chartered a bus or they used an unmarked vehicle.

Why are the Dakolos crying foul?

They have a good social media following, several folks have volunteered to contribute towards their legal battles.
Some lawyers even decided to take up the case for free.
They also have an NGO.
Why are they scared now or is there something we don't know?

This is not intimidation.
Police show up in your house to invite you and you shout you are being intimidated, but you mobilized people to go and shut down a man's church on a Sunday, attack his worshippers and even had people hurling him all sorts of abuses on the cyberspace.

And that wasn't physical, emotional and psychological intimidation abi?
Where was Amnesty International then?

Timi should have considered his scrotum when he decided to sit on this termite-infested log.

You are wise sir,Though i didnt take side

Am in a depressed state and am so ashamed of myself. Currently schooling in a federal university studying computer sci. Seriously I feel really bad to have wasted 5 years without achieving nothing or a degree. Even spill over still wouldn't do no good cause I don't want a 3rd class degree or every worst. Can't take the risk again.[ insult is free i deserve it]

instead of graduating with a shitty degree am thinking of starting all over again from 100lvl to study computer science or anything related in a federal university. 4 years Max

Right now i feel like an abomination and a disgrace to my family. Have tried visiting the HOD's in my school unfortunately, I was informed students from the same school can't switch to same school [Different department] i dont know why i think it's best known to them.

Mind you am in my mid 20s with no achievement or any money making skills.

I have interest in mastering programming or becoming a tech savvy guy or a security expert but i can't. aside the coding aspect physiologically am not balance. Secondly, am limited.. Am very ambitious i need help and opportunities. Am tried of fighting alone/ holding back its eating me up silently... I only smile or engage myself in a social gathering to cover up my pain.

Even if am to start all over again I'll prefer a university that offer a 4 years course I don't know which Federal university one can study comp sci within 4 years.

Please I need advice and help The truth is school is frustrating and tiring.. I need a degree my battle can't be in vain.

I know someone would have pass through my line of sorrow or even worst. Your suggestions, opportunities and help will revive me back...

Regards,

Computer science is 4years in Unilorin.I will advice you to do a jupeb(A level) programme for 1year after which you will be admitted to 200L after the programme.I can guarantee you that you will pass it.Also try unilorin or kwasu i am certain you will finish your 4years degree programme without strike or delay.Talking from experience.

Another option:Get a noun university form, learn a skill and start building yourself while you study. For the former you can contact me for jupeb,i know someone who can help you on it.You do not need to worry about anything, las lass everything will fall into place.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Some Fun While Job Hunting by segzyndpep(m): 1:38pm On Jul 14, 2019
The Kindergarten Secretary

On my 21st birthday, my boyfriend promised me he was going to help me get a job after I got admission into National Open University. The institution's motto is “Work and Learn,” and I was very eager to get my self busy since the university did not hold lectures like other conventional universities.

Few days after my matriculation ceremony, I received a call from a man while I was having lunch with my hostel friends. He told me Julius(my boyfriend) spoke to him about me, and he requested we meet at a school in Evboutu or lose the big job. I had only swallowed two balls of Eba and I wasn’t filled at all, but I sprinted to my room and changed to something modest. I didn't want to lose this big job.

As soon as I got to the school, I explained to the gateman, and he directed me to an office. Seated there was a guy, probably a teacher because he had this long neck physics teachers usually had. The office had an empty seat and desk in it. On the desk was a laptop and some bunch of files. Upon sighting the chair and desk, I was like,
“wow this is my seat, I’m going to be a secretary.”

The first question he asked me was:
“Do you love children?”
Okay, what's happening here, I was confused, what do loving children have to do with a secretary job?
After a moment of silence I replied:
"Yes sir, I love kids very much."
“Wonderful” He exclaimed
"I’m the Director of this school, Julius told me about you. I like young girls who are hardworking, come tomorrow by 9am for your interview, I want you already". He concluded with a smile and gave me N1000 to go back home.

“Thank you so much”! I quickly collected it, and left the office.
On my way home I picked up my phone and called Julius
“Hello, baby guess what.” I asked
“what” He questioned “
I am going to be a secretary” I exclaimed
“Wow congrats babe,” I am happy for you he replied cheerfully
“Thank you, babe, I love…. “ Before I could complete the sentence, the call ended due to insufficient fund

The next morning, a painful pimple erected from my cheeks mixed with severe headache and catarrh. The only money left with me was the N1000, the director gave me. I contemplated on using the N1000 to get some drugs or using it to transport for the interview
“Get some drugs you might die on your way, remember you are the only child in your family” a voice whispered into my ear
“Go for the interview a big job is waiting for you” Another voice whispered into my ear.

I listened to the second voice, freshened up and left for the interview. The interview was supposed to hold by 12 pm, but it was already 11:00 am, and there was no bus. I had been standing on the road for more than two hours….. I almost cried “Is this how I will lose this job?” I asked myself.

As I was in thought, a bus approached me and I quickly jumped in. On my way, the bus gets caught in a traffic jam. “Chai this must be the work of my village people” I whispered to myself. I ran out of patience and decided to sprint down to the school (opportunity to burn some fat).

When I got there, I was sweating like a ram who just escaped being slaughtered. I was boiling! My hotness increased when I saw a lady seated on “my seat” Yes that vacant seat with the laptop I told you guys about.

I was already boiling in anger when the Director came in “Oya follow me” he requested He took me to a classroom filled with so many kids, the smell of poop was all over the place, some were crying while some had catarrh running down their nose. Then the director began his speech:
“This is the creche class” upon hearing that I was like OK, no secretary, I can manage being a Kindergarten teacher.

But the next sentence I heard was
“Your job is not to teach them, we have a teacher already. Your duty is to change their diapers whenever they defecate and clean their nose”
Are you kidding me? Change babies diaper? Is this the big job this fat belle man had been talking about? I felt like strangling him.

"Ok, how much is the salary" I enquired.
He waited for some seconds and replied:
"75"
I was like "75,000"?

I was already in the mood to start cleaning their diapers for that amount. He laughed hysterically and replied,
“No o it is N7500.”

My hotness tripled to the extent it could even cook beans.

This is slavery! 7500? my transportation to and fro is N6000 that means I will go home with N2000 every month
Waste of time!
Waste of energy!
I would have finished my eba that day If I had known.

“Thank you oga for your offer” I muttered
If I had spent one more minute in there, I would probably kick him in the balls. I quickly walked out of the premises, an

d as for Julius I never spoke to him again.

This is funny,Thank God he gave you the 1k

I don't really know what to say. But since you say you have the money and another said you can't possibly report them cos it's a legal business and probably registered...

I suggest you use the money you have to change your windows to a sound proof one. If you don't have enough money for changing all, you can decide to change your room windows which is probably 2 windows or 3 at most.

Use of sound proof windows will enable you sleep well each time you feel the noise is becoming much. Just enter into your room and close the windows. That way, you won't hear the tiniest of their mechanical sounds and you'll sleep in peace.

I hope I made a reasonable point here anyway. smiley wink

Yes it will only reduce the noise, there is no 100% sound proof. Will he sound proof the ceiling and other openings also?I am not against your advice though just pointing out the fact that he cant get 100% sound proof.

You are all probably doing copy-cat trying to do what others are doing. Nigeria is a Country of 200 million people. Few months ago I met a Nigerian lady in Houston who only came for 2 days for a marriage ceremony. You won't believe the business the family does. They export a particular waste product from butchered cow. She claims they are the number one exporter of this product from Nigeria. Opportunities are endless but most Nigerians are focused on the wrong things.

Yes, we know the country is tough. Ask yourself why Chinese and info and are flooding into Nigeria. You may not have the kind of funds they have but you are a local and should know in and out of your country.

Can you see you have travelled wide if not well travelled. You can say whatever you think its right but its not as easy as you see it.Even in Canada have read chinese buys properties and have several business there because the chinese has stable economy and have the fund to invest in any country of there choice.
Yes some people are fortunate to start a business and make more money than someone living in the western country, but how many of us can raise such money to start. We are not saying it is easier there but we are motivated to work harder in a stable economy.

To tell you the truth i am presently frustrated right now because i regretted i didnt make the move before now.
I invested 10m in business but right now its a sorry case, ppl still see it as a big business but am not making a dine and i am sure someone else will definitely commit suicide with this error i made.
But i am here hoping and fasting just maybe God will consider me and help me soon.

You make the most of sense bro.
He should come to Canada, yes you might need to work in a factory or do any other general labour job, but the minimum revenue in a month converted to naira is 520k. You might have to do it for a couple of months, then work towards getting a PR then go to school and start making a good income.
Hear me, never ever consider investing in Nigeria.

Canada
Australia
Japan

If you can find your self in any of this countries, you are made.

In Japan work full every where...you go earn money tire...if is business you go see product especially car part to ship to naija . In Australia you make lots of money taking care of disabled people

Are you sure in Japan he wont have language barrier?
Also no matter the amount he has he has to be eligible to migrate to Canada or Australia..He should just forget Australia

Try a masters program or phd scholarship to canada...if you had a job already in nigeria you apply for immigration to canada.........

if that do not work then try bahamas.....(why....once you get your passport as a bahamian it is free visa to canada.....and the money you have would be okay for you over there.....you could also decide to stay back in the bahams and start life there....there are so many nigerians living and working in the bahamas.........

but overall....the best country to live in is the united states...i live there.....but i would advice you to go to bahamas or canada for now.

once you are in the bahamas....you are almost in canada

good luck
