Cjrane2: Actually, closed-rnage ranching does not require so much land to do it. Yes, you can do open-range ranching and allow the animals to roam about in the wilderness, just as you can do closed-range ranching where you set up areas for animals of various ages and sizes and you feed them with grass and other feeds.
I am advocating closed-range ranching here.
Israel does not have much land, yet it produces more beef than Nigeria using closed-range ranching method. Pictures below are how Israel achieved the feat of one of the biggest beef and poultry producers in the world on a small parcel of land. We can definitely hire an Israeli expert to help our local ranchers with knowledge on how to efficiently produce. i like this bro..this better than poultry. When cow can sell for up to 150k. If u sell 4 cows in a month...na 600k. Good business... and u can fence ur land with high wall...no fulani incusion |

Cjrane2: The Urgent Need for Private Cattle Ranches in Igboland
From the events and political maneuvers in Nigeria, it is evident that the continued dependence on solely Fulani herdsmen for beef supply to southern Nigeria is very very dangerous. We have seen villages wiped out and farmlands turned into grazing fields by these people, while the so called Federal Government and it's security agencies are in close collaboration with these herdsmen to dominate and totally exterminate these communities.
These crimes will continue as Nigerians (ESPECIALLY SOUTHERNERS AND IGBOS) continue the insatiable appetite for beef. It is not wrong to eat beef, but we must revive our historical cultivation of our own breed of cow (Efi-Igbo) and goats. The government should assist private entrepreneurs to set up cattle and goat ranches all over the region to at least provide some of the beef supply in southern Nigeria.
In traditional Igbo society, we keep our animals at home and go fend grass from the bush for them. We NEVER let our animals out of the compound to go and graze on people's farms because we are too lazy to bring the grass to them. Our traditional practice of raising animals is what is called closed-range ranching. That is what we must revive and farm these closed-range ranches all over the region as culturally acceptable method of ranching animals in Igbo culture.
We know the Fulanis in government will try all sorts of gimmicks to frustrate private ranches from being set up in Igboland or anywhere in the south. But it is imperative that modern cattle ranching begin immediately to forestall the clashes and murder of villages by these herdsmen. Besides it is a crucial food security issue for a whole region of the country to depend completely on just one source of beef supply from Fulani herdsmen. Let multiple private entrepreneurs set up commercial ranches and help stop some of the wicked acts happening now in Nigeria.
I am pleading with our business people and government officials to urgently pass a legislation that will prioritize and facilitate the setting up of private ranches all over the region. If Kenya, Uganda, Indonesia etc have managed to set up modern commercial ranches, we can also do the same here.
Ekene m unu! i support this...i wanted to start cattle ranch in enugu b4 but got discouraged by so many things...i will look at it again |

Though I support Biafra and disintegration, the truth is that I will actually choose a Nigeria that works over Biafra. The reason is because a Nigeria that works could actually be Africa's first global power. A Biafra that works can hardly be that. Nigeria has the population to be a major global player. All the little countries we want to break Nigeria into doesn't have that potential. So I ask the question: how can we actually move Nigeria from third world to developed status within the next 50 years? What do we have to do or change or introduce in our socio/politico/economic scene to do that within the next 50 years? To move our gdp from $500 billion to $1 trillion, to reduce our poor population and improve all infrastructure to developed standards.
I need intelligent contributions on this without 'afonja' 'Igbo' 'aboki' jibes. Without APC or PDP nonsense. Say what you think can be done.
Mynd44 lalasticlala seun take this to front page if you can. Lets see what our internet age youths think could make Nigeria great and make politicians to start working and stop stealing or fooling around. Afterall Nairaland is against secession. |

They only have this competitive mentality to which tribe is superior to the other, which Edos in general are quite known for having.
They have some cultural similarities with Edo, ishekiri and Yorubas
Hateful people are present everywhere bruv, perhaps you met the ones filled with hatred.
Nonetheless, do let anyone have your hate.
A person with a hateful nature is on a journey of self destruction. He/she will eventually hate everything and anything and watch those he/she loathes achieve alot in life effortlessly. The pain of watching such achievements will eventually consume him/her.

CyynthiaKiss: Nobody is against you dabbling into a political abyss, but dragging igbos along is when you are going to receive the insults and bashing you never expected.
You are free to campaign for Buhari like other lunatiiics, but hiding under " Igbo presidency" to campaign for Buhari"s second tenure by shouting "Vote Buhari and get Igbo presidency" won't be allowed. That blackmail won't work !
Buhari doesn't have key to the success of Igbos. Igbos have faced the worst in the past, they have moved on and surpassed all in every ramification. Go back to the recent report released three months ago.... SE & SS have the least poverty rate in Nigeria. Northerners have produced more heads of states, but the survival of their masses lies on the Int. donors. Majority of these A.P.C " Igbo presidency chanters" are aware that Buhari is a failure, some of them are ashamed of campaigning for Buhari openly, hence hiding under " Igbo presidency" to campaign for a terrorist for a second tenure.
Telling Igbos to support Buhari is like indirectly telling them to support the killings that is going on in this country..
Igbos know how they can get what they want, but no through Buhari who could not help himself in 2003, 2007 and 2011 until SW and NC that have deserted him today came for his rescue in 2015. What more can I say other than a big congratulation to Kenneth Okonkwo while heading to a political Golgotha. Andy okeke fvck up sha...and igbos should note that buhari has not used his own mouth to promise igbo presidency...so we wont be deceived |

We don't like Ibos at all and w4e don't want anything to do with them. Focus more on how to achieve Biafra while we Yorubas focus more on our Odua Republic. I am glad some Benin people are now supporting Nigeria disintegration. Yes! We want Kwara state in the West but we can't trust or unite with Iboes to get it for us. We can do that on our own. Right from the time this shytehole was created, my people have never aligned with flat-heads and it will never happen - not in this life or the next lol all i can tell u is oduduwa calm down Truth is that neither igbos or yorobàs alone can leave this shit hole. fyneguy: Are you saying the SW must concede to the candidate supported by the SE and SS? What stopped the SE and SS from backing the candidate supported by the SW? The sw had no business backing buhari in 2015...the idea of osinbajo or even tinubu as vp not withstanding...gej was more likely to favour the west in his 2nd term than buhari was of favouring the west.. That said, we must move on. The sw and se need to come together and create ONE power bloc...regardless of the outcome of 2019 polls. We have to arise from the ashes of 2019 electioneering as one power bloc... Until we do, restructure will never happen, the yoruba population will never be brought in one sw and neither will the east get one more state.. U see there is nothing a benue man has in common with a sokoto man...but when politics come, they play as one north..we need to learn to play as one south and not back bitting each other |

It means there is no point and we are of all men most miserable. The problem is that if you disagree with these IPOB members they will begin to call you afonja. One even went as far as including edo, just imagine. At a point in time they even said we should remove the capital from Enugu(our eternal capital) to portharcourt just to please SS. These guys have brought untold insults to Alaigbo by their behaviour. As in eh i tire. Well i like kanu...he is the reason why i became interested in biafra...but some of his fellowers just reason stupidly...i am one of his followers but am not a fool. I can agree however that if things get serious, moving our capital to p.h to get the ikwerres would be a smart move..since nobody dey chop capital. But to begin include edo, ijaw ibibio and other non igbos is a no no. Ikwerre people are igbo so giving them our capital is no issue...its still igboland |
