So if I semid4lyfe source money to shoot a film which turns out to be critically acclaimed, very successful and a major box office hit, I owe my/it's success to people (in the industry) who had absolutely nothing to do with the conception or making of the movie?

The brouhaha raging in the midst of the small sized actors in the Nollywood industry could no longer be contained as one of them, Ibro Ibrahim Musa has taking the showdown attitude which he receives from two Nollywood actors, Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme popularly known as Aki N’Ukwa to the public.

According to the Benue state born actor who has so far featured in over sixty movies disclosed that the duo believe that his entrance into the Nollywood industry would bring down their longtime built reputation and fame to nothing, now enraging them to ponder hatreds on him as the surviving actor. “They believe I want to take over from them, while that is not my intention. The industry is so big that it can contain whatever good talent anybody is coming with. I have received series of report from people, both on pages of newspaper on how they are biffing me,” he said.

On if he is muttering intentions of hitting the formers back following the level of disrespect he receives from them, he said, “Not that I don’t care, but what keeps me going is the talent in me. Your talent is the determining factor, the level prominence and feed back you receive from your fans will tell you if you are trying or not. So, I keep telling them to take it easy, because they have their own fans while I have mine. I see and take them as my brothers”.

Having made his sojourn into the Nollywood industry in 2001, Ibrahim admitted that his achievement could be measured with that of when the entertainment industry took its place in the country. For him, Nollywood has changed his life, as he could boldly testify to it, “the kind of people I go out and hang out with now are mostly top business friends. Sometimes I wonder if I would have achieved the position I have gotten in life without being an actor,” he asserted.

Nedum Onuoha had better wake up from his slumber cos he's already 25 and the clock is ticking. He's only played for the England U-20's and is not even considered good enough to play for the 3 Lions in a friendly so what makes him think his chances with England are so bright? He should emulate the footsteps of Anichebe & Moses and commit to Nigeria.

Funny thing is, in 2009 he shunned all overtures & invitations to play for Nigeria but said he'd be available for selection for the 2010 World Cup if he were called up. The thief wan reap for were hin no sow lol.

I bin like Moses before but this story wey I read today don make me like am more sef.

"I played for England Under-16s, 17s, 18s, 19s, 20s and then 21s … then … I just decided to make the decision to play for Nigeria," he says.

Wow! Never knew until now that Victor Moses lost his parent in a religious crisis.

Having said that, Moses made the best decision to play for Nigeria. Gabriel Agbonlahor who was used and dumped by England after 2 friendly matches & a qualifier is a testament to this.

Now Gabby's in "international limbo". . .committed & fully capped by England but not receiving call ups to the 3 Lions (as his form has dipped) & he can't switch and pledge allegiance to Nigeria. If he had chosen Nigeria, he's still be very relevant in the scheme of things. I sure sey the guy dey regret and dey talk for hin mind sey "had I known".

How I wish Nedum Onuoha will commit to play for Nigeria. He's a good player. . .young, fast and most importantly can play any position in defence (our weakest department in the team).

afam4eva: The bolded is an insult to Charles Novia. WTF is Kunle Afolayan? When did he start making movies that makes him better than Charles Novia who's been in this business for a long time now. The only person i respect there is Tunde Kelani and to a lesser extent Jeta Amata but not Kunle who's stilla newbie in the business.

So how good a director is is now measured by how long he's been in the Industry and how many movies he's churned out? Please, tell me this is not what you mean?

If na so, John Singleton (who was in his mid-20's & made his film directorial debut with Boyz n the Hood) should never have been nominated for Best Director Oscars in '99 lol

Admittedly, Kunle Afolayan has only directed 3 movies - Irapada (2008), The Figurine (2010) and Phone Swap (2012) but the worst of 'em (Irapada - in most people/critics opinion) is better than the best movie ever made by Charles Novia.

‘I am very dangerous when I am cross, Omotola. By the time I am through with you, you will be shocked what will happen to you and your career

The above statement is an extract from the book written by the prolific film maker, actor and director, Charles Novia.

Charles has poetically revealed the secret behind his fight with Omotola Jolade-Ekeinde.

'Nollywood Till November' the book, states "As the recording of the movie continued Omotola somehow started getting on a lot of the crew and cast nerves. Since this is a ‘tell-it-like-it-is’ book and since I am generally known to be outspoken, I believe I have to reveal a bit of this, not in any way to disparage her person but to be candid in my opinion. Little unnecessary skirmishes with one person or the other became rampant. It got to a head one day that my Production Manager, who is usually easy-going and friendly lost his temper and came to me. ‘Sir, please this will be the last time I will ever work with you if Omotola features in your movie after this one!’ he complained.

I was taking everything in my stride and trying to calm frayed nerves when a couple of days to the end of the shoot, Omotola practically drove me crazy. I am very calm most of the time as a person and as a movie director but that day I blew my top!

I remember screaming at her and she was shocked at first but made the mistake of putting up a defence. That was when I basically warned her in a very deadly tone to be mindful of me.

Most of my crew members were shocked to see me in that mood. No one had ever seen me like that. I remember Norbert Young, Empress and Tari West calming me, while Ramsey sat coolly in a corner fiddling with his phone. Omotola seeing my mood, wisely went to her car and sulked.‘Who told you to leave my set?’ I bawled. ‘Get back here and lets shoot!’
