Hmmm. . .what stood out for me in the video was the reverence & admiration the others displayed towards Modenine when he was about to spit (like sey hin be their King) and when he was spitting and trust Mode not to disappoint cos his whole demeanour/attitude was bossy and cocky through out. His lines & punches were v.good also

M.I did very well too and I was impressed by Ice-Prince's delivery despite his somewhat generic punchlines. Anyway, to cut a long story short, na like this I go rate them. . . .

1. MODENINE - 8.5/10
2. MI - 7/10
3. Ice Prince - 6/10
4. Sauce Kid - 5/10
5. Naeto C - 3/10
6. XO Senavoe - Ungraded cos to me the guy just dey throw tantrum and play tomfoolery grin

In summary, na only Modenine, MI, Sauce Kid and Ice Prince pass cool

90 + 5’ – The referee blows the whistle for Full Time.
– Game over and Enyimba will not reach the final of the CAF champions League.
– It's another Nigerian calamity a week after the Super Eagles crashed out of the 2012 Nations Cup and sunshine Stars were beaten Saturday in the first leg of the Confederation Cup semi-final by Club Africain of Tunisia.
– For Enyimba, there will be no international football next year as they are far off the pace in the league and lost the final of the Federation Cup.

Sports › Re: Watching Football Is Nothing But Sheer Tomfoolery! by semid4lyfe(mod): 4:03pm On Oct 16, 2011
Serendipity: Gosh!
I am yet to fathom
why twenty-two grown-ups should be running about in the field chasing one bunkum-- football, and call it sports.
The worst part of the whole shebang -- and the most infernal-- is people's obsession with this nonsense as they are held spellbound and glued to the TV watching it. They discuss it as though it were their private business or puts food on their tables.
In fact some fight and even commit suicide just because of football.
What for?
I can't seem to decipher what bearing a practice such as watching football can have on my life.
They play football, get paid undeservedly.
OR  do they deserve the undue pay they get?
I'm not saying that they shouldn't be properly remunerated. But it's just that what they get is dogmatically excessive, especially amid people's abject and piteous existence. Worse still, they spend the money frivolously and injudiciously, especially on women. C. Ronaldo, I garnered, has twenty-eight girl friends, isn't it an insult on our moral sensibilities and psyche?
In addition to the above, is the harm football has done to our vacuous and callow youths as it is unimaginably abysmal.
These green beings can delightly reel of the names of these footballers, how much they are paid, how many goals they scored, including how many girl friends they have; whereas some can't name ten states in their country.
So, what then is my business with football if directly or indirectly I can't gain anything from it -- financially or otherwise.
Having said the above, I would love to be convinced beyond reasonable doubt that football can have any bearing on my life/personality.
Thanks for your attentiveness!
Hehehe. . .who thief this one kele wey hin come dey vex and rant for here shocked grin

Anyhow sha, all to hin own. Me LOVE to dey play and watch football sha, so much I play SET football every Saturday and watch/follow the matches of teams I support. If to sey u talk sports like American Football, Rugby, cricket etc I for do support striker for you tongue but my FOOTBALL. . .the BEAUTIFUL game and world's sport. . .like D'Banj go talk, FILE BE!!! wink

After all said and said, one man meat na another man poison, make we just leave am like that. . . . . .

First Leg of the semi-final match ended with Enyimba losing 0-1. Enyimba must win by a 2 goals margin to make it to the Final. Here is what Enyimba's head coach Okey Emordi has to say about Sunday's game:

“We will try our best to win on Sunday. No one goes to war to lose, our aspiration is to achieve successes.

“Now that we have lost everything in the local scene, our target is to win against Wydad. We are working very hard on the loopholes that made us lose to them in Morocco.

“We hope at the end all the efforts will be translated into victory. We need it most right now the nation is enveloped in tears. So we hope to wipe away the nation’s tears with a win,” he said.

“When we lost to WAC in Morocco, everyone was angry and aggrieved, in fact, they (the players) wanted the return leg immediately.

“So they are ready to face WAC and enthusiastic of victory.

“None of the players are under card suspension, no major injury, we will be having solid squad
So what do you think. . .will Enyimba get the required result on Sunday? Drop your comments and vote in the poll. . . . . . .

Hahahaha i went to a public school as well o (QC)
but my kids are in private school

Try to get us, we're not saying some public sch kids are not brilliant, same apply to private sch they have dundy there as well
But i believe you'll choose to send your kids to a private sch
So for your mind Queens College na public school? I only ask cos two of my younger siblings went to that school and in my opinion overtushness dey worry the students of that school. . .just like KC. Small man pikin no dey go QC and na serious conection/leg work to enter there. No talk am again o. . . QC na FGC but it's one of the best in the FGC's and it's on the same level with elite private schools like A-Hall, Vivian Fowler, Corona etc.

By the way, I've noticed you've been posting and replying people's post since morning. Seems you have so much free time on that banking job of yours huh

Anyhow sha, all the best as you juggle and balance work & family

I've never been so impressed by a Nigerian (or even African) movie in my life. The soundtrack just took my breath away. It's mainly vocalizing but it's amazing! shocked[/quote]Are you psychic or what? Cos I was just about to post this. That Figurine soundtrack (Araromire) ehn, words no fit describe am. . .it's that good!!!

I love it and it's my present ringtone . You can listen to the full soundtrack and download it from the link below

Hehehehe. . .read the 5 page sample you uploaded and all I'll say is ''overtushness'' dey worry all the characters and they don't sound or act Nigerian to me grin

Look at this: ''When he gets there, Jenny jumps on him and kisses his cheeks''
Question: Do Naija babes really act like this. . .as in, greet a guy with a kiss on the cheek? huh shocked  IMO, the most dem go do na to give the guy hug sad

All in all. . .from the little, I've read, it's a good script but the setting, yarns, flow of conversation, conversational intelligence tongue etc makes it seem ''unNigerian'' to me.

pendo89: Music? you got it wrong. They only rem the nigerian musicians when they come into the country. The music selling in EA is mainly from Congo,UG and TZ. Each has great musicians and their music sells and appeals to a greater audience in the East. They have their own dancing style or swags.Nameless, wahu, amani, chamelion, juliana, lady jd,kanji, juakali, wyre, marlaw, and many many more.I guess the swahili has greater impact and cuts across these countries. Majority of kenyans love congolese music
Deny all you like but we all know Nigeria's music is huge in East Africa, Kenya in particular.

I mean, I once saw a behind-the-scene documentary on the Kenya vs Nigeria 2010 World cup qualifier played in Nairobi and guess which songs were blasting from the stadium loud speakers hours before the match. . .NIGERIAN SONGS

^^ and you should have seen the way the Kenyans were singing along & jiving to these songs shocked .A neutral observer would have thought Nigeria was playing at home grin

pendo89: Wait a min!! is that the funny song which the radio stations have been making fun of? some famous broadcaster kept describing it.Its really funny. does it have a word like 'sawasawasawa we'? if it is the one i can tell you the media has done a great job promoting it.
Yeah, that's the song and tell me you don't love it wink Na the video be this

ceasyc:
havent seen it yet, will luv 2 if i can get it. dem pair r just perfect when dey act in d same movies (Shahrukh Khan and Kajol.) - damn over 3 hrs!

on wiki it says: Earning over INR 106 crore (Rs 1.06 billion) in India and INR 15 crore overseas, the film became the biggest Bollywood hit

of the year, as well as one of the biggest Bollywood hits ever. It was declared an All Time Blockbuster
, and remains

the longest-running film in the history of Indian cinema =189 mins shocked
Hmm. . .the movie was recommended to me by rokiatu. Did some research and found out it was on all the top 10 Bollywood romance movies of all time lists and so I downloaded it to watch. However, I gats say the movie fell below expectation for me undecided

By the way, I think what wiki means by the ''longest-running film in the history of Indian cinema'' is that it's had the longest theatrical run in Indian cinemas. . .as in, it's was released '95 and up till now it's still being shown by some Indian cinemas.

@ topic
Things Fall Apart [2011] - the movie 50cent lost weight for. 50 plays a promising college football player whose dream of playing pro-football in the NFL is truncated when he's diagnosed of cancer. Same of the same and nothing new. . .4.5/10

Taare Zameen Par [2007] - a Hindi movie about a little boy with a learning disability (dyslexia) and the teacher (Aamir Khan) who helped him to overcome his problem. Not riveting, but a very well made movie with a deep story and an important message. . .7.5/10

Chalte Chalte [2003] - an Indian romance movie starring SRK and Rani Mukherji. . . .6/10

Colombiana [2011] - action film toh bad. I liked it. . .6/10 smiley

Flypaper [2011]- Very ridiculous ''action-comedy'' movie. Liked the unexpected twist at the end when ''all was revealed'' though grin. . .4.5/10
