What does buhari know? Quota system general.
Buhari only loyalty is to his own inner cacus and not to Nigerians. The only way the service chiefs can be changed is if they stop licking his smelly ass.

Sowore, will have learnt a very valuable lesson in all this mess he put himself in, revolutions are not tools used to protest losing an election, can't speak for the cabal on why they are still holding sowore, but it is unconstitutional and wrong, the court gave a verdict, Just Obey it. Sowore will choose his words carefully next time, because we have freedom of speech, doesn't mean speech shouldn't come with sense. I wish him well tho.

The only valuable lesson him and any other Nigerian should learn is that Nigerians are not worth fighting for. Anyone who fights and die for Nigeria has died a shameful and useless death. Allow the people to enjoy their sufferings and flex your own life.

Make no mistake guys, nobody who does not have interest in travelling or already abroad invest his time in the travel section. To do exactly what?
I mean it is practically impossible for someone who loves and is comfortable in Nigeria to spend his time from year to year, thread to thread, moniker to moniker disturbing himself/herself, drinking panadol for another person's headache that is none of his business. The only thing that would make someone behave that way is if they are jobless or just pure envy or they have a 10 year visa ban and they have sworn to be bitter till the 10 years finish.

When i had the view that i wanted to live in Nigeria, i never entered the travel section cos i had no interest in what was going on there. It was only when i changed my views and mind and wanted to relocate was when i started visiting travel section and following travel threads.

Some Nigerians are very funny, what they don't have or do not have the capacity or capability to have, they try to downplay and rubbish it using a combination of truths, half-truths and lies to buttress their point and hide their envy even when their opinion is not needed. Let me give you an example.

Someone builds a fine bungalow which he can only afford and his friend builds a fine duplex. Instead of appreciating the friend and be happy with him, he starts saying that bungalow is better than a duplex and that he will choose bungalow to duplex anytime, any day. He goes on to say that duplex is a death trap, many have fallen from the stairs and died, in fact, his grand mother fell from stairs and died. He will say all collapsed buildings are duplex and he will bring out references from the internet to show that 10 building collapsed last year and they are duplexes. He will say everything to make you feel that he is happy but if you read in between the lines you see envy written all over their comment. He will forget that he has been climbing stairs in the office, church or elsewhere and the buildings have not collapsed and he has not died. This is the power of envy.

This is exactly what is playing out here with the likes of timesup and few others. Envy has consumed him so much that he is now going insane over something that is none of his business. There are lots of people who have the same view but they do not come to travel section because it is of no use to them. One of my cousins prefers to live in Nigeria even though he can relocate if he wants to but despite being on nairaland, he does not come close to the travel section. But people like timesup that is making one million naira a day are choking on envy over people who are "suffering" abroad instead of enjoying his billions in peace.

Make we no wake up one day and read that he committed suicide leaving billions in his bank account behind over imaginary internet people that are travelling abroad ooo. Some might even be in Oshodi but claiming they are in the US yet timesup is already dieing because of it. Na waa ooo.
I think the best thing is to ignore him/her

Hahahhaha little child I use to think like you when I was growing up in Nigeria... I use to think the white man is the quintessential representation of everything “fair” and “just” until I arrived in the westwen word and discovered that everything we do in Nigeria, the white does and even worse just that they are more emotionally matured than us. For instance a white armed robber will not shoot to kill you if he can get your stuff from you. Even if he has to kill you to defend his act of robbing you, he won’t be shooting into the air to create a scene and he won’t be throwing parties here and there to celebrate his robbery success like Naija robbers. He may even go to the local library a few minutes later to watch cartoons just to calm down or attempt creating an alibi... this thing u call yahoo in Naija is called white collar crimes in the west. same crime different nomenclature

You are quick to say I am wasting the chance of other people who won’t think like me. I laught at you. Let me ask you, who do think hire the illegal immigrants who come from Latin America and mostly Mexico and pay them slave wages in America? Nigerians ? Africans? Fellow Latino Americans? Heck no!!!! Mostly It is the “supreme” white man who in your eyes can “do no wrong and is a better person and more intelligent human than your fellow Nigerian”

The crazy things white people do here, dwarfs whatever horrible thing u think u have heard or witnessed in Naija.

Secondly, you think white people do not attempt to sell fake items smuggled into the US? Think about this- laws are made to prohibit an act that is valid and “can happen” or “happening” ... so there are these regulations because white people just like Naija people have the capacity to break the break

lastly, You think that America can’t afford to legalize everyone lacking resident document in the next 3 months if they want to? Who are the “unseen powerful hands and voices” stopping it from happening ? Those connected capitalist who are benefiting from paying cheap wages to illegals. So before you insult me, use your peanut sized brain for once!

So I am not the one wishing penury or poverty on you or any other Nigerian. I am only advising a man who I feel is about to waste his time appealing for a visa to apply wisdom by improving his life because “based on what’s on ground on Nigeria” he has a better chance to succeed than waste his time, money and life pursuing what he may never achieve or what he may achieve that is not equivalent to the effort he puts in to it. Naija is still the only place where you can pay your one year house rent with maybe 2 months salary. I can confidently tell you that this is not possible for almost 95% of Americans or Canadians who live pay check to pay check’ most people on the western world are just 2 or 3 paychecks away from being homeless.

Small children, una no know anything. Don’t worry, go ahead and sell all your property and run to Canada. The grass is always greener on the other side

BUT DONT FORGET, ABROAD BE LIKE OGBONI

ONCE YOU ENTER TO COMOT NO EASY AND WHEN YOU TELL PEOPLE HOW FAR - NO ONE WILL BELIEVE YOU ANYMORE JUST LIKE YOU ARE NOT BELIEVING ME RIGHT NOW!!!!

Guy, i won't bother reading this trash you wrote up there.

My brother you are arguing with me who is privileged to have seen and lived and still living in the western world for more than 2 decades

Nigeria remains one of the places in the world to make it big doing business. Do you know the regulations that hold back people in the west from making crazy money unlike which is not the case in Nigeria? Take for instance you open a eatery in Nigeria or buka sef, apart from your once in a year local government levy you may pay ... nobody comes there to tell you to pay your workers minimum wage of N30,000 a month ... in the western world if you don’t pay your worker that minimum wage with proper tax documentation, you will enter prison so easily and your business may be taken away from you

Secondly... set up a shop and sell anything worth buying nobody will Harass you on Naija... not so in OYINBO land, you could go to jail for selling fake commodities... in Naija the market is huge, ask Igbo traders in Lagos ... even Labanese will not go to Canada when they can stay in Naija... but you that own your country is trying so hard to run away.... enough said ..

Is this suppose to be an advantage or a disadvantage?
What you are saying is exactly why "sane" people want to leave the country for people with your kind of mentality to enjoy your millions.
So you want to make your crazy millions at the back of people's sweat? A Nigerian will earn 2m per month and still pay his gateman 20k a month because in his mind the gateman is a common aboki who does not deserve to live a good life and he comes online to tell us how he makes millions in Nigeria because the govt who is suppose to check this wickedness is also guilty. It now becomes dog eat dog and you think it is good abi?

A Nigerian will earn 3m per month instead of hiring a professional nanny who he will pay well, he will go and bring someone from the village who will become their slave just because her parents is poor while oga keep building mansions and enjoying with his children.

You want to sell fake things and make crazy money abi because Nigeria is a country where everything goes without consequences.
Most times i wish the "sane" and "humane" people of Nigeria will all relocate and leave you like minds to eat each other cos you deserve the country as it is.
By the way, if after living abroad for 2 decades and you still think like this, i'll advise you to come back cos you are wasting space for people who love to live in a decent society.

I stop arguing with people about how better Nigeria is than abroad if you have money to run things. But experience is the best teacher. I dont even advise people not to come when they tell me they want to because they will feel like you dont want them to be successful.

In all honesty i have gotten opportunities beyond my expectation since I landed here. But i am a realist and I know what majority of people face here in terms of hustling I could have been one of them as well.Despite the opportunities I have seen i believe I will be better of in Nigeria if i have a good job there.

A friend initially planned to bring his younger brother but he has changed his mind to using the money to invest so the brother can manage it.

In almost every country less than 1% do not struggle to survive the rest struggle to survive. It is just the reality of modern day capitalism.

My plan is to live in a quiet neighborhood too when I am finally back preferably Ilorin, Akure or Osogbo.

Bros, what are you still doing abroad? With what you are saying you should have relocated to Nigeria yesterday. Or do you want to live there for 33 years like My oga Egun before you come back to Nigeria that is the better place to live?
Go back to Nigeria and start preaching your gospel now. It is not after 33 years when you have made money, gotten citizenship and settled your children abroad, you will now come back to Akure and retire with your millions and start telling us how Nigeria is the best thing after slice bread. Make the move now or forever remain silent.

The issue for me is not even about Osibanjo. The issue is why will PMB be signing a bill for Nigeria in another man's country? Which kind of disrespect is that? Why is PMB always so comfortable in another man's country like it is his own? How many times has any world leader visited Nigeria on a private visit and spend a night? If PMB loves London so much, why can't he resign and relocate to London and get a permanent residency there. No 1 man in Nigeria will creep into another man's country like a commoner not once, not twice, in fact, it is now a routine. I'm so ashamed of him.

Gaddafi1:
Necessity as they say is the mother of invention. The recent closure of the broader will make Nigerians go into large scale and mechanized farming to cash in on the high cost of these products.
This will eventually bring the price down and make them available. I support closure of the boarder.

What you are saying is a mere assumption. There is no evidence that points to the fact that the border closure will make Nigerians go into large scale farming. The cost of doing business in Nigeria is high and this is the main issue. We are now in globalization era and this means whatever that is produced in Nigeria should compete in price and quality with imported ones if we are serious.
If we produce rice that competes in quality and price with imported ones, importation will die a natural death and our focus should be on strengthen our capacity to produce competitive rice. This by force approach will just punish the citizens for nothing and will not achieve any sustainable improvement. Mark my words, they will open the border again at some point after wasting our time

Travel / Re: If Nigerians Are So Smart, Why Isnt Nigeria Developed? by sentra05: 7:18pm On Oct 05, 2019
Nigerians are not smart, intelligent, wise etc. This is because for you to say a group of people is smart, then at least 70% of that group has to be smart but in Nigeria less than 10% of the population can be said to be smart so they are badly outnumbered hence Nigerians are not smart and the country cannot develop. It is even going to be worse in years to come as the few smart ones are leaving the country in droves since they can't do anything to change the status quo

Because Nigerians are not smart, we will not be able to get the right leaders. Make no mistake, leadership is the number one factor that would set the stage for development. It is the right leadership that harness the individual smart resourceful citizens and material resources at his disposal to do wonders that benefit the entire society. Without the right leadership, even if the people are smart, there wont be any appreciable development. The problem with Nigeria is that the people are not smart so getting the right leadership is absolutely impossible. Let me give you some examples

1. In a smart society, there would be no way in this world where dullards like Buhari or Crooks like Atiku would have been front runners in 2019 election. The "smart" people would have gone for an entirely different faces to pilot their affairs. Would the new faces have succeeded? There is no guarantee but the ability to take calculated risks when needed is one hallmark of a progressive society. When we were rooting for people outside those idiots i mentioned above, we were made to look stupid.

Even if we can't compete with technology and big things with other countries, what is so hard in using our money to build roads, fix electricity, good hospitals etc. so that the citizens can live a normal life. UAE does not compete with technology of its own but their citizens have one of the highest standard of living because their leaders used their money to buy technology from other countries to build their own so that their citizens will enjoy.

For people blaming the whites for our woes, i ask, did the whites stop Nigerian leaders from building roads, fixing electricity, schools, hospitals and other basic amenities for the people? Did thy whites stop the leaders from providing clean water to every home in Nigeria like they provide to their citizens in their own country? What does it take to provide water to every home in this country?

The truth is that the problem is not just a Nigerian thing, it is blacks all over the world. From Nigeria, to Ghana to even the black dominated neighborhoods in the western countries, there is always a difference in mentality, organization etc. In fact, i will say that 90% of blacks all over the world have a mentality that is not compatible with development. In the US for instance, 98% of black votes went to Obama including the ones that call themselves republicans that don't like the democrats anti christian values. In fact, Collin Powell who is a high ranking republican endorsed Obama. Why? Because Obama is black so we will support him even if his values and ours don't align. This is what the whites will not do and that is the difference.

Btw, i noticed that those idiots who have adopted buhari as their father and defending him on this forum are not contributing to this interesting topic. It seems they are the "smart" Nigerians
