As hot-angel pointed out, the statistics are all available at: www.nairaland.com/nigeria/action-stats |
Are you a crime lord who wants the police to be scrapped so he can go about his business of stealing, maiming and killing without anybody to challenge him? because if you are not, then your statement is utterly ridiculous. What we need is to pay our policemen well, give them better training so they can be more effective, and remove the corrupt leaders in the police force (like IG Tafa Balogun) |
I see nothing wrong with it |
layi:He might not like any of his classmates. What about people like me who spend 80% of their time on the Internet, don't go to church to seek babes, and don't visit bars or other social events? Why can't such people use what they know (the Internet) to get what they want? Dating is like fishing; you spread your net wide to catch the perfect fish. The more the fish you get to sample, the greater the probability that you will find the right fish. What the Internet does is that it connects people. There is no reason why such connections can't be romantic in nature. So please let's learn to have open minds. Just because something doesn't suit you doesn't mean that it's wrong for others to do it! Yes, this may not be the best approach, but it has worked all over the world. Someone who is so busy might not have time to socialize, and so might feel the need to use the Internet. |
If you love that first girl so much, forgive her and continue with her. The mistake you made is that you left a woman you love just because she cheated on you. Just because you caught her in the act. Somewhere in your heart, the desire to be with her is still there so go back to her and pursue the relationship to the end (when you marry her or dump her for someone else). |
THe burden is not on us (men) to understand it. The burden is on you (women) to make us get it, because you are the ones supposedly suffering! |
My questions again: - Who exactly are "they"? - What exactly do "they" want? - How exactly is the VP a stumbling block to "their" plans? Without having answers to these fundamental questions, these allegations can't be taken more seriously than the story of Alice in Wonderland. |
If a woman starts courtship at 22, and after 8 years of being together they decide to break up, she will be 28 and desperately single. For the next courtship, she won't have up to 8 years to make up her mind, because she wil be in a hurry. So it is best to make your decision as quickly as possible.. 1 to 2 years should be enough. After 6 months to 2 years, you should know whether the person is good enough for you or if you should date or court someone else. It is not how long but how well, and long courtships are simply inefficient for those who don't double-date. Personally, I am using this time to learn a lot about myself and what I really want in life. Once I know this, and as I interact with female friends, it will become easy for me to tell if a woman is right for me or not. I won't need more than 4-6 months but of course I will still want to wait for 1-2 years before marriage. |
Marwa is still alive. So are Atiku and Jim Nwobodo. So what exactly are you talking about? ![]() |
Welcome to Nairaland, girl. We love you to! |
UPDATE: Here is a link to the list of people who were on board: http://www.sosolisoairline.com/read.asp?newsID=36 From the official website of sosoliso airlines: http://www.sosolisoairline.com/ |
We are still waiting for loveday to tell us his source. I wonder why you people find it difficult to indicate where you got your information and provide the links. While we are waiting, read this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/talking_point/1800826.stm |
If the woman hits you and you are hurt, go and report to the police. Even in Nigeria, there are laws against hitting people. But most of the time, you will agree with me that women don't go about hitting men. What they do is that they talk rubbish, right? Well I have noticed that men have mouths too. So if you feel the need to retaliate or correct a woman, and the matter has not deteriorated to the point of calling in the police, then use your mouth and not your fists. That's what mouths are for! Look, ladies, we men are very smart opportunists. If you put yourself on the floor we will definitely sh*t on you. Whatever you allow us to do, we will do it. So if a man hits you, break up with him. If he's not your boyfriend, go and file a police report. Soon the word will go around that "man, these modern girls will not take it lightly if you dare to raise a finger against them" and Nigeria will become a better place. |
I think it's terrible. Why not use .tv (free for now) or try to buy the .com? |
Hello Yinka, Welcome to Nairaland. Hope we can simply call you Christyne? ![]() Seun. |
drbigdaddyg: You can not tell me Obasanjo is guiltlessActually, he is innocent until proven guilty! People should stop saying he is corrupt without bringing out any evidence. Evidence is what we need now. Truthfulness is also essential. I am ready to forgive whatever he has done in the distant past (e.g. when he was a military ruler) but I want the truth to come out. A lot of corruption is going on because people assume that "everybody is doing it" while in fact it may not be so. We need the truth, backed with evidence. Anybody can open mouth to say someone else is corrupt. |
These reminds me of Orji Ozur Kalu's unsubstantiated allegations. I'm looking forward to the President's response to these itemized allegations. If he responds in a satisfactory manner, it will vindicate my belief that the war on corruption is genuine. If not, then I will be very afraid for Nigeria. Baba, the ball is in your court! |
And that is why we are begging the so-called elephants to please stop fighting so we can get on with our peaceful lives. I keep saying it, that all I need from the Government is security. I do not really understand what these various groups are fighting for, and why they are trying to cripple Nigeria. |
I was going to ask the same question, then I realised that Mamba must have deliberately turned his camera upside down to take that picture of his bedroom. Wish he'd tell us why! |
I make money from the ads, supplied by Google. Based on this salary thread, the income is sufficient to support one full-time administrator. Though in reality, some hefty bank charges have to be subtracted to calculate the true income. |
I am a man, and I get angry very often and I don't go about hitting people. This is called basic self-control and Trae needs some of that. Outcast, it is very silly of you as a woman to be encouraging a young man to be violent against women, not to talk of his sister. Well all I know is that if some brother of yours lays a hand on a sister of mine he will spend at least one night in a police cell. ![]() |

I think it's an ill-conceived article. We need to know: 1) Who "they" are - the people behind these so-called plots. 2) What exactly their goal is? 3) How exactly the VP has become a stumbling-block to their plans. This article is very imaginative but doesn't appear to be grounded in reality. Or what do you think? |
The Vice-Chairman, South-South of the All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP), Chief Douye Douglas-Naingba, yesterday described the impeachment of the Bayelsa State Governor as a rape on democracy. "Just three days and the panel has finished sitting? It is unfortunate, it is dangerous for Nigeria's democracy", he said. Naingba told Saturday Independent that he was with the Governor when he was arrested. "As early as 6am movement within government house was restricted. Even to eat or drink water was a problem. It was around 11.15am that one could move to eat, he narrated. http://www.independentng.com/saturday/nndec100512.htm |
See http://www.voanews.com/english/2005-12-09-voa15.cfm for a picture of the man with his police 'escorts'. |
What he has done by posting this thread is nothing bad. In the future, this will be one viable way of getting a partner. |
