I don't think the OP really believes any of his arguments. I'll engage him when he is willing to be honest. He's just trolling us in my view.

I'm not sure that there's no God, but I'm sure that there's no evidence for the existence of any God. If there is a God, she has refused to provide us with any evidence for her existence. She's hiding herself from us. If God exists, she is a shy introvert who wants to be left alone.

Inasmuch as there is no evidence whatsoever for the existence of an afterlife, it's certainly irrational to believe in it. Near death experiences are just hallucinations. The belief in an afterlife is driven by our reluctance to accept our mortality. Instead of worrying about what happens after death, focus on prolonging your life as much as possible and doing the things you love most. A bird in your hand is worth plenty in the bush.

Here's the "scientific explanation". Caterpillars are not made for cutting down trees. If you want to cut down a tree, use a chainsaw or an axe.

If Jesus was the son of the Old Testament God, he would've known that the sabbath is very important to his Father. In the Old Testament, God personally asked the Israelites to stone a man for gathering firewood on the sabbath day, but in the New Testament, Jesus blasts the Pharisees for being too strict about keeping the sabbath and allows his disciples to break it in letter, if not in spirit, repeatedly. After he died, Christians were permitted to disregard the sabbath completely. How did the God who personally oversaw the execution of a man for picking firewood on the sabbath suddenly change into a God that doesn't particularly care whether people keep the sabbath or not? The reason he gave for wanting people to keep the sabbath - that he created the world in 6 days and rested on the 7th - certainly still applies.

Numbers 15:32-36: When the Israelites were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the sabbath day. Those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses, Aaron, and to the whole congregation. They put him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him. Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man shall be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him outside the camp.” The whole congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Another difference is that the God of the Old Testament really hates foreskins - even though he created them! Even before his covenant with the Jews, he commanded his followers such as Abraham to circumcise their children. There's a bizarre incident in Exodus where God was literally trying to kill Moses over this issue of circumcision. This was when Moses was on his way to Egypt after God called him to free the Jews:

Exodus 4:24-26: On the way, at a place where they spent the night, the Lord met [Moses] and tried to kill him. But Zipporah [Moses' wife] took a flint and cut off her son’s foreskin, and touched Moses’ feet with it, and said, “Truly you are a bridegroom of blood to me!” 26 So [God] let [Moses] alone. It was then she said, “A bridegroom of blood by circumcision.”

How could God go from almost killing the great prophet Moses for not circumcising his son to inspiring Apostle Paul to write the words below?

Galatians 5:2-4: Listen! I, Paul, am telling you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you. Once again I testify to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obliged to obey the entire law. You who want to be justified by the law have cut yourselves off from Christ; you have fallen away from grace

The New Testament God is actually far more cruel than the Old Testament God. The Old Testament God would have you disemboweled or stoned to death for not being a Jew or for disobedience, but once you were dead, that was the end of your punishment. The New Testament God pretends to be loving while you're alive, but once you die he burns you alive for ever and ever. ISIS also burns people alive, but once they are dead, that is the end. This makes the New Testament God worse than ISIS because he continues to impose the worst possible torture imaginable on people for all eternity. And the unjust punishment doesn't depend on whether you were a kind person or a wicked person in life. Salvation comes from being lucky to have heard and believed a highly illogical story and having a chance to beg for forgiveness before you die.

Yeah it's best to maintain a constant (preferably slim) weight. It's the secret to looking young when you're old. I wish someone had told me.

Did you record any of these miracles with your phone camera as they were happening before your very eyes? It is quite easy to give gullible people the impression that miracles are happening before their very eyes. If you tell people that faith is key to their healing and that confession is a way to express that faith, and you use hypnotic music and the testimony of paid actors to move their emotions, some of them will confess to having been healed when in fact they have not been healed of anything.

The tragedy of religion is that it draws people in with these sorts of promises, and they invest so much of their time and money in it, but when they need it most, it fails. People don't realize that divine healing is a mirage until they are plagued by incurable diseases. Some of them don't even realize it at that point, thinking that the problem is their lack of faith, which is ridiculous since an all-powerful God can heal you whether or not you have faith. Before you get sick, healing is a divine promise, paid for by the blood of Jesus! After you get seriously sick, God works in mysterious ways. That seems like a classic bait and switch scam to me.

The Rhino-Behemoth has a tail, which sways as competently as any other animal's tail. It's sinews must be quite strong to carry its weight.

More importantly, dinosaurs had been extinct for 65 million years when the Job story presumably happened, so Job would not have known what dinosaurs looked like. It would have made no sense for God to use an animal Job had never seen or heard about to intimidate him, so the Behemoth must be an animal that currently exists, an animal that died off a few thousand years ago, or a mythical creature (like the dragon).

Also, the Behemoth is presented as a single type of animal, yet scientists have named about 700 unique species of dinosaurs from fossils alone.

Moderate religion has already convinced this guy that people who criticize his religion deserve to be "destroyed". All you have to do to turn him into a murderer is to convince him that God wants him to be the instrument of their "destruction".

Can you imagine how much force it must have taken to shove the knife in that deep, and at that angle? This is certainly murder, not suicide.

To become a religious suicide bomber or a holy murderer, a person must believe the following things:
1) "There exists only one true God."
2) "Those who reject God or disobey his commands are dangerous and wicked evildoers."
3) "God wants to punish those dangerous and wicked evildoers severely."
4) "God often uses human beings to carry out his will on earth."
5) "God will bountifully reward those who are killed while doing God's will"
6) "God wants ME to punish those dangerous and wicked evildoers on His behalf."

The problem with mainstream, moderate religion is that it indoctrinates millions of people with the first 5 things that religious terrorists need to believe, while they are young and thus impressionable. This makes the job of terrorist groups very easy because all they have to do is convince their recruits of the final thing that terrorists must believe: that they are the ones who have been chosen to execute God's holy justice.

Mainstream religion is like an engineer who likes to build grenades as a hobby, and keeps them at home. From time to time, criminals break into his home, steal some of the grenades, and use them to commit brutal crimes. The engineer is like, "it's not my fault!" "They stole the grenades from me!" "My grenades are not meant to be used for violence!" "I'm actually a pacifist!" Yet, he keeps building more grenades.
