₦airaland Forum

Likes will always be anonymous. This decision is final and won't be changed.

Logging profile viewers is an interesting idea, but I think we won't do it because of members might be able to guess who liked their photos if the feature is implemented, and because Nairaland is an "anonymous" forum, so the focus should be on board and topic activity, not profiles.

You need a first class CPU - core i7, core i5, or even core i3 - for fast compilation of Java code and quick testing of scripts.

You need to have as much RAM as possible so your system won't slow down when running IDE, browser, Apache, MySQL, etc at once.

You need a minimum of 720p resolution (1366 x 768, or 1280x800). You need the screen estate to reduce the overhead of app switching.

Your laptop should have decent battery life; at least 4 hours, so you won't be frustrated by PHCN. Otherwise you should get an inverter.

Please stop trolling.
Sir Seun,

while I appreciate your contineous effort to make Nairaland a better place, I do request for 2 things which are:

1. ability to see people who like a particular post. Let it be visible to the public,

2. Ability to see people who view my profile.

Thank you.
1. No.

2. Why?

Alternative to https://www.nairaland.com/1049481/how-place-targeted-ads-nairaland:
You can post free ads on the ad sections of Nairaland depending on what you're advertising. Nairaland will not be used to assist spammers.

Can you send me some beautiful and colorful backgrounds that I can use?

Paul Nzeogwu: Not when Debe says that he has bribed the Judges, E.F.C.C., Lagos State Minister of Justice, Commissioner of Police, and all government officials. If the authorities are too corrupt to do their job, Igbo people and MASSOB will do it for them.

Were you there when he said it??

overboard: @Seun I went to https://www.nairaland.com/adrates. Please clarify the premium percentages for me i.e. 30% on Homepage. I have a good idea but don't want to jump to a conclusion. Thanks.

It means that, due to high demand, the cost of advertising in that section is 30% higher than it would be based on traffic considerations alone.

stephanio: Dear Seun,

please i will like to place 2 adverts on nairaland.
can i know the processes?
thanks

stephane

Dear Madam, the procedure for advertising is explained here: https://www.nairaland.com/1049481. Which products would you like to advertise?

psky: Please why was my comment hidden?

What rule did it break?

1. Please post on topic always. Don't derail or tribalize threads.

tesorifashionho: @seun pls credit my account and upload my advert.

Done. Thanks so much for your patience!

Don't do that. It's spamming and unethical.

Abu Mikey: That would be the best thing that ever happened on NL since the annihilation of the Garri Army on NL

It's done. Visit your profile to find the link to "Posts That I've Liked". The direct link is www.nairaland.com/mylikes and you must be logged in!

Lionbite: nice! But..... My likes are different from my favs

Slightly. Let me know if you're not satisfied with My Likes after using it for a few days.

WackyJ1: That is a good idea But as this poster said. My likes might get crowded for most active likers.

Why would you like a post if you never want to see it again?

We use a dedicated server.

Follow them to those places if you are suspicious.
After all your hiring, no quotes counter on your website.
Well, we have many other things that are far more important, and we will also get that feature at the right time, if it's worth it.

Great idea; thanks! We will implement a "My Likes" feature so you can see all the posts that you have liked!
