FamilyRe: My Serial Cheating Husband Keeps Begging For Forgiveness by sevule(m): 6:24pm On Oct 06, 2016
You do realize that you have provided a CONDUCIVE environment for your husband to cheat, right?

Your husband goes out to cheat, then comes back and you prepare his favourite food for him and probably have sex with him later. Men, your husband has it all good and HAS NO DESIRE to change! For goodness sake why should he change when you have demonstrated that you are nothing more than a doormat?

Right now there is ONLY one option and that is SEPARATION. Pack your belongings and move back to your father's house, plain and simple! Do not bother to inform him or he would beg you and your resolve would falter. If he truly wants you he would beg you to come back to him. THEN you have to set down your conditions and let him know that the next time he cheats would be the last time as you would divorce him.

I am speaking as a married man and I can tell you that your husband has ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT FOR YOU. The choice is yours - separate from him now in order to mend your broken marriage OR stay with a non repentant cheat and remain miserable.

I honestly don't understand people! A man told you to meet him in a hotel to give you a job AND YOU STILL WENT THERE??
Please what were you expecting to do in the hotel? Sing praise songs and pray?

I remember people advised you in the other thread you posted not to go to the hotel AND you still went! That was pretty silly and you should not do such silly things in Nigeria.

That said the only thing left for you to do is send a mail to HR explaining the entire sordid incident and attach the text he sent to you.
This WOULD NOT give you the job but it is THE RIGHT thing to do and would prevent this monster from preying on other women.

Best of luck with you job search

MMM IS A SCAM!!!

Apparently Nigerians have forgotten that awoof dey run belle. For heavens sake MMM is nothing more than a glorified Ponzi scheme, do people ever learn? Even the official description shows that MMM is a giant scam. See the description below especially the part in bold:

In MMM, u provide help (that is donate any amount starting from 1000naira to 3.8million naira) of any amount and in 30 days u get 30% of your money + the amount in 30days paid directly into your bank account.

Please how does providing help translate to getting 30% interest? When you help a person do you get your money back with 30% interest?
Of course people are getting their money back with 30% interest but the question is HOW IS MMM MAKING MONEY TO PAY PEOPLE 30% INTEREST?
You CANNOT and I repeat you CANNOT make money from thin air as MMM is doing. The money that is paid to 'investors' is gotten from new money that is brought in by new mugus. This is the definition of a Ponzi scheme.

@euchaaria: I would suggest that you don't go. He is certainly up to no good. You should wait till you find out about the interview results. Whatever the outcome of the interview you should report him to HR/Management. He has certainly done this before and will continue doing this if he is not stopped. There are probably victims out there and he should be stopped from continuing with his perverted ways. There is no reason why a member of an interview panel should reach out to an interviewee outside of official premises and also without the other members.
This is the best answer and I agree with what nancy2016 said. Wait for the outcome of the interview THEN send the text to HR and the top management of the company. Explain what happened at the interview and leave the rest to them.
TravelRe: Abuja Rail Line Experience: Don’t Applaud Yet By Cynthia Ferdinand by sevule(m): 3:33pm On Sep 08, 2016
obailala:
From the very first day these trains were launched, I already said it that the greatest recipe for disaster was for the government (NRC or whatever) to be responsible for operating the trains instead of the private sector.

These trains could be a revenue generator for the government (as is the case globally), but I don't need onatisi or any other soothsayer to tell me the new trains would be another overbearing public liability draining government resources on a yearly basis. I give it only a couple of years (even before 2019), the trains would be killed by poor maintenance and the entire rail system would be buried by inept management.

Nothing managed by government ever works in Nigeria, it is not an insult, it is just a fact, and if these trains and the rail system must survive, they should be concessioned 100% to private companies who can run them at a profit and pay appropriate taxes to government. The only sector which seems to be working effectively in the country are the petroleum sector (operated mainly by foreign multinationals and indigenous private firms) and the telecommunications sector (also managed by private profit oriented investors).

The first error which highlighted the impending doom for these new trains was the FG fixing fares and playing politics with it. This may sound strange and silly to many but a fare of N900/N600/N500 is extremely cheap for high speed comfortable air-conditioned trains by world standards. Except the government plans to run the trains as a non-profit subsidised charity, the present model where a minister for transport just arbitrarily fixes fares (after a political meeting) is completely disastrous. In the UK for instance, high speed train transport is even cheaper than flying, and all trains are run by private corporations. Nigeria should have already learnt enough lessons from Nigeria airways to NITEL to NEPA to NPA etc. I pray the government receives sense!
You hit the nail on the head and I could not have said it better!!!
Government has NO BUSINESS running anything in Nigeria as they have routinely demonstrated that they have NO idea how to run a company. If this commendable initiative is to survive, they need to concession it to private investors right away

Nigeria is just trending on everyone's lips even the UN.

We've never seen this before is just to create fear. Problems problems no solution.

Pictures of dirty surroundings shows the citizens are lazy do not carry out sanitation or is it the government that said use stick and build on water??

We are all facing trying times but nobody should add negativity to the problems.

An objective UN report should state what the government has done so far, what has worked what has failed. What should be done in future to either solve a problem or achieve an objective.
I don't get it, are you REALLY living in denial??
An objective UN report says that almost 70% of our population are living in poverty and you are still asking for an objective report. Which other report are you looking for? Did you bother to read the report before posting?

You then go on to say that nobody should add negativity to our problems? Are you for REAL?? Do you even KNOW what our problems are? We as a nation are so PATHETIC that we do not even know what our actual population is!! We DO NOT even have ANY form of statistics regarding the poverty/unemployment level in the country and we have to rely on a UN report!

Please stop writing about things that you know NOTHING about and try to read up on Nigeria and it's sordid pathetic history. Instead of getting your news from Linda Ikeji blog try and pickup a newspaper to read. The UN report is 90% accurate and it is a true reflection of the current situation in Nigeria.

Our government has truly FAILED us!

BUT ARE THEY Muslims? NO!!. likewise in Islam a man can claim to be a muslim but doesn't have a relationship with the God he claims he is serving or follow His rules. the fact that terrorists kill without any human form of reasoning is proof that they are not MUSLIMS!!!
When a person CATEGORICALLY states that he is a Muslim and he is killing because his religion tells him to what do we call him? We call him a Muslim because he identifies as one.

Shame on all of you that believed the US Ambassador's side of the story.

This is a blatant lie and a calculated assault on the intelligence of Nigerians and we should demand that the Ambassador prove this case beyond doubt or be sent packing. Enough of all these nonsense.

Nigerians, it's time to begin thinking and asking questions.
The only assault on our intelligence is the hokus pokus you just wrote. For goodness sake why would the US government make up this grave accusation? Is it to besmirch the character of our 'honourables' who we all know are sleazy, lying politicians who are only interested in how much they can steal? The US government should actually be commended because they went about this matter discretely in order not to embarrass us as a nation.

Nigeria is doomed if these are actually leaders of tomorrow. Their mental faculty has been corrupted with the supposed corruption crusade that they can't think straight again.

The young man is saying he is being pressured to return money without being tried to prove he took the said money illegally.

To compound the issue, the person who gave him the money said she did not know the money came from government. The question is if the giver did not know, how do you except the receiver to know?

This is a case of giving a dog a bad name to hang him.
If according to you, 90% of those who commented are stupid, are you among the 90% or are you the only wise person?
To paraphrase your words, Nigeria is DOOMED if the majority of our youth think like you and sell their soul for a few thousand Naira.

It never ceases to amaze me when sycophants like you JUMP to the defense of the politicians that stole OUR collective wealth. Aren't you aware that the 1 Billion Naira Fani stole belongs to you and I?

And please stop insulting your intelligence by saying that Fani did not know where the money came from. You are probably intelligent enough to know that no one gives you 1 billion Naira because they like your face. Besides he did not pay tax on the money and in saner climes he would be looking at a 10 year jail sentence for tax evasion alone!(read about what happened to Wesley Snipes)

Fani should be left in prison till his trial and hopefully he would be given a very long jail sentence. Enough is enough!!

Abeg forget the Panama papers.

I will only take the leaks seriously when I begin to see American business men and politicians on it and not Messi and the President of Azerbaijan.

The fact that main stream media, MSMs are covering it coupled with the man behind the leaks George Sorros, the motivation for the leaks is to blackmail and stir revolutions.

Even on nairaland, we only see apc paid hacks making threads on Panama leaks concerning PDP members.

When I see Atiku, obasanji, Amaechi, Fashola and co threads relating to Panama leaks then maybe I will take this bullsh1t seriously.

A note of advice: whenever you see bullsh1t media outlets like CNN and BBC struggling to report on any story, you better pause and ask yourself why are they telling me this and what are they diverting my attention from with their bullsh1t news.

I read Wizkid's comments about Linda with absolute SHAME and DISGUST!!!
hen, while reading comments on Nairaland, I noticed that Wizkid's supporters were gleefully using unprintable words about certain female body parts in an effort to support their lord and master Wizkid. Between the ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING words that Wizkid used to describe Linda and the liberal use of expletives here on nairaland, I am not sure which is worse. Well I am not surprised because his supporters are recalcitrant children just like Wizkid.

Wizkid must be pretty DAFT because corporate organizations would not endorse him after this sickening display and chances are that any companies that might be endorsing him now would pull out of the deal. I am still SHOCKED that a person could
BE SO STUPID and actually post such demeaning and disgusting comments on Instagram. If this happened in the USA, Wizkid would be lucky to find a job as a janitor cos NO ONE would ever buy his records again but he is lucky that he lives in Nigeria where anything goes.

The problem is not actually the tax per say but the fact that Nigerians are tired of theiving politicians and civil servants who steal money that is meant for the development of the country. Hence the resistance to more taxes.

It makes no sense to tax phone calls and then share the proceeds with our corrupt senate or state governors. People need to know that their tax money is being used judiciously to develop infrastructure hence I sense that there is a disconnect between the government and its citizens

I appreciate your comments Sir but I would appreciate it even more if you can stop referring to me as ignorant

You are once again showing the ignorance that I had already mentioned; the constitution comfortably accommodates Sharia under freedom of rights to religion because Sharia is a way of life for Muslims and Muslims are constitutionally guaranteed to practice their religion.
Until you can show where our constitution explicitly allows Sharia, I stand by what I earlier said that there is no provision for Sharia in our constitution hence it is unconstitutional. However it could also be argued that the constitution does not prohibit Sharia.

Secondly, you are also wrong to presume that Sharia is being applied on everybody because Sharia as practiced in Nigeria exclusively applies only to Muslims - non-Muslims are not affected.
Please read the article again. The Sharia police arrested the women and did not ask if they were muslim before they sentenced them. Let us not pretend that non muslims are NOT affected by Sharia

Thirdly, you forgot that every state is empowered to make additional laws through it's HOA for the common good of its citizen which once passed becomes binding on all residents within its jurisdiction, irrespective of culture, religion etc, provided that such law does not contradict the constitution.
For example; the current law in Kano against the sale and consumption of alcohol was legitimately passed through the above process but non-Muslims ignorantly or mischievously assumed it was as part Sharia in the state.
You may recall same prohibition laws were passed in many states in the USA in the 1930s to curb the problem of alcoholism and its attendant issues.
This is the first time that i am hearing that the ban on alcohol was passed before Sharia was implemented. I am not sure what the law states so I cannot comment on this

Lastly, there is nowhere in Nigeria where prostitution is legal, the arrest of prostitutes in Kano is therefore legally and morally correct - irrespective of who were arrested, whether Christians or Muslims.
Moreover, the approach was commendably humane, more correctional than punitive because only those whose parents refused to claim them were to be prosecuted.
I completely agree that prostitution is illegal but the ONLY authority empowered to make an arrest in Nigeria is the Nigeria Police Force. Hence the Sharia Police CANNOT and SHOULD NOT arrest non muslims. They can draw the attention of the police to the women in question and let the police handle the arrest.

It is important that we keep morals separate from the law because they are 2 different things. Your morals as a muslim is different from the morals of an African traditional worshiper but we are all governed by the law of the land

If you are soo narrow minded and dim witted to use one country as an example then you have no business airing issues with me. What about Ethiopia which has a christian majority but still has Sharia for Muslims? What about Lebanon? If you can't accommodate or respect the beliefs and respects of others then that's your problem to deal with. We are not Egypt, nor are we Egyptians. You can go and rear whatever brand of prostitutes in your states you please. Not in ours. It seems even western education can't save you animals from being animals because you don't know what to do with it. I reiterate your statement, if you can't respond intelligently then do what you should have done in the first place, shut the fvck up!
You have resorted to using foul language to get your point across? I would not stoop down to such demeaning depths but since you mentioned Ethiopia, Read the below from Wikipedia on Sharia in Ethiopia and take note of the words in italics

Sharia courts have jurisdiction on cases regarding marriage, divorce, maintenance, guardianship of minors (only if both parties are Muslims). Also included are cases concerning waqfs, gifts, succession, or wills, provided that donor is a Muslim or deceased was a Muslim at time of death

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Application_of_sharia_law_by_country

Even in Ethiopia, they recognize that Sharia should only be RESTRICTED TO MUSLIMS! What we are saying is that Sharia should be FOR MUSLIMS AND MUSLIMS ALONE! The Sharia police DO NOT have any rights where non muslims are involved plain and simple!
PoliticsRe: 31 Girls Arrested In Hotel By Kano Sharia Police by sevule(m): 6:54pm On Mar 25, 2016
ItsMeAboki:
For someone who had been a prolific contributor on this forum, you are showing a surprising degree of ignorance on this matter.
The constitution guarantees every citizen the right to freedom of religion, Sharia being a right for Muslims, Hisba Police a tool of enforcement within same for Muslims and State Houses of Assemblies as necessary means for states to enact appropriate laws relevant and suitable/peculiar to them for the over all common good of their ppl - all of which are well accommodated within the Nigerian constitution; though this may not stop many hard-line bigots from being in denial and spreading their misconceived perspective on the matter even after they had failed to successfully challenge or have it overturned by the supreme court.
You sound reasonable so I am going to try to reason with you. First of all THERE IS NO provision for Sharia in our federal constitution so your argument is flawed. What happened was that the ex Zamfara governor brought in Sharia via the backdoor and the government did nothing to stop it. That said Sharia is probably here to stay and there is not much that can be done

Secondly and MOST IMPORTANTLY Sharia should ONLY BE APPLICABLE to muslims!!! If i do not identify as a muslim and I reside in a Sharia state, then NO ONE has the right to judge me under Sharia laws because I am not a muslim.

Apparently nobody asked the girls that were rounded up if they were muslims and they were judged using Sharia law which is
AN INFRINGEMENT of their basic human rights.

Once again i would paraphrase what you said - Sharia being a right for Muslims. Since Sharia is a right for muslims, RESTRICT it to muslims and muslims alone, SIMPLE!

It's almost impossible to bring different ethnicities, religions and cultures under one bracket. You're free to use the constitution in your states if that's what the majority accept. We accept our laws and they only apply to us. You should have no issues with these laws whatsoever.
What you just wrote now is ABSOLUTE RUBBISH!!! Did you actually go to school or is Western Education also a taboo for you? Are you aware that there are hundreds of countries where muslims reside that only recognize one constitution? For goodness sake even Egypt which is predominantly moslem DOES NOT practice Sharia. Since when did the laws of a state supersede the constitution of the country?

And, yes sir, I pay my tax (too much tax is killing me right now but I don't really mind). I never ever discuss cost/funds/money with my GP over the past 20 years or so. Why? I pay my tax and the NHS is effective - simply the best in the world. Doctors in my necks of the wood take their Hippocratic oath very SERIOUSLY. And for those asking what Hippocratic oath means, for the umpteenth time, it refers to an oath taken "by people when they become doctors to do everything possible to help their patients and to have high moral standards in their work."
Are you for real or are you KIDDINGhuhhuh?
The reason your doctor can take his hippocratic oath seriously is BECAUSE HE IS GETTING PAID, SIMPLE!!!!

I believe strongly in the ability of partners being able to sit down, pen down their flaws and they both having an understanding of these flaws then resolute amongst themselves to work it out.

Truth is, there's no perfect being out there, even you personally you know you have your own flaws. So, it's pertinent that you don't just find a flaw in your partner and decide to run away. Am very sure that lady knows she has that as a challenge and maybe needs someone to help her manage it except you guys were never in love.

Now I strongly disagree with that ideology that every courtship must not lead to marriage. Now the question is, are you ready for it before going into it? Or do you just want keep testing every lady to find the one that soothes you? Do you just jump into a relationship without properly knowing the kind of person she is?

Bros if you continue with this mindset then you may just forget about settling down with a woman.

Mind you that my first paragraph is what I have practiced and it worked for me as a matter of fact the longer you stay together the more little little fogs you find.

An angry person needs a patient person, maybe you didn't see that before professing love.

You think people don't change? It's only your ideology that needs to change.

your decision though, all the best...
Sir, i stronlgy disagree with your position and with your assertion that every courtship should lesd to marriage. It is called courtship because you are still trying to figure out if both of you are compatible.

Of course nobody is perfect and I doubt that the poster is looking for a perfect woman. But there are traits that are red flags and uncontrollable anger is one of such traits. Let me repeat what the poster said - You CANNOT compel a man or woman to change.

Your friend would definitely be hurt when you tell him, but your friendship would definitely be stronger after this incident because he would know that you are a REAL friend

In the words of Alfred N. Whitehead, the art of progress is preserving order amid change and change amid order. The law is what holds every aspect of our society together, an executive should be able to lobby the legislature to get what they want, especially with APC's Majority of both houses. Using any means other than "legal" would be an invitation to anarchy.
I beg to disagree sir. Even in the USA, Obama had to use a presidential veto in order to bypass the Senate when they refused to pass certain bills that he presented to them. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with this and it is pretty similar to what Buhari has done. He has used the powers given to him by the NNPC act to restructure the NNPC without recourse to our USELESS NATIONAL ASSEMBLY.

What he actually did is LEGAL but its only the Supreme Court that can arbitrate on the legality of his actions

And this is only the unions aspect of the fight, the NASS showdown is yet to begin, on this issue.

Intransigence will be the undoing of this government. I was fully in support of this move but legal channels need to be followed to do the right things, had even thought with Kachukwu's assertion of them breaking the PIB into smaller chunks, they had addressed this unbundling issue at the NASS on a low key. If they haven't done the right thing then they should go back to the drawing board, invite all stakeholders, take into consideration their inputs and ensure that the process is transparent and in line with the law.
My brother if 'legal channels' are followed, our dear National Assembly would still be talking about restructuring NNPC by 2020 when Buhari's tenure is about to end. They have delayed PIB for 10 years so what is another 4 years?
Buhari did the ONLY thing he could do and that is bypassing our USELESS NATIONAL ASSEMBLY.

U don't get it do u? All these multinationals u mentioned will never lift a finger without consulting all stakeholders involved. Infact they will do it in such a way that the employees will even look forward to it. There is what is called change management or else nomatter how good ur policies may be, it is bound to fail. I'm assuming u work somewhere? How would u feel when Tommorow morning u get to work only to be told ur workplace is doing some sorta restructuring and u would be adversely affected for the greater good? Wouldn't u prefer to have been a part of the discussions from the get go inorder to mentally prepare urself?‎
@THEOPTIMIST

You are actually wrong. When Microsoft restructured Nokia, a lot of people worldwide lost their jobs. I can go on and on, but generally restructuring tends to be painful. NUPENG and PENGASSAN have been holding this country to ransom and I am glad that Buhari has called their bluff.
The funny thing is that they were actually informed of the restructuring but they probably thought that it was all talk.
Glad to see that for once in Nigeria's history, we have a president who is actually working

I am questioning his motive my friend.
I can remember vividly that there is a Petroleum Industrial Bill or something of that nature on the tables. . .
Wouldn't that make this "overhaul" or the PIB itself superfluous?
So what really is the rationale behind this "unbundling" or whatever they have chosen to call it.
@INSPIRED
I definitely disagree with you on this one. First question you have to ask is how long has the PIB been before the Senate? The answer is 10 years!!!! It is pretty obvious that the senators are NOT interested in passing the PIB in any form.
For goodness sake have you ever heard of a bill that took 10 years to pass?
Since the senators are CLEARLY UNWILLING to do anything about the NNPC, Buhari has simply sidestepped them AND HE HAS MY FULL SUPPORT!!
As to legality or illegality of his actions, that would be up to the lawyers to decide. Nigeria DESPERATELYneeds a leader with AN IRON FIST because as we say in pidgin english "We no dey hear word"
