I have used my avalon for 2 yrs now. It's a wonder, I must say. Besides a stupid mechanic who bent my caliper bolt while changing brake pads, I have had no issues. Just servicing and changing stabilizer links and bushings which actually came bad with the car. As for poor, fuel economy, I don't know what these guys are talking about. My avalon has better fuel economy than my 4cyl 2007 camry (camry has no check engine light). Whichever u want to get, just avoid the first year models. Avoid avalon 05. Avoid accord 08. Get later models.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO way an Avalon can EVER have better fuel economy than a 4 cylinder Camry except there is something seriously wrong with that Camry. It is impossible!

The good thing is that you were once in her shoes so you know that smoking is an addiction that is really difficult to stop. The fact that you were able to stop does not mean that she has the mental strength and fortitude to stop. That said the first thing you need to do is show her unconditional love. Let her realize that you love her regardless of the fact that she smokes.

Secondly and this would be very difficult for you, you have to face the fact that it may take years for her to stop smoking and there is a possibility that she may never stop.

Thirdly keep reiterating your distaste for cigarettes in a firm but loving manner. Show her articles that prove that she is not only putting her health at risk but she is also putting your own health at risk via second hand smoking.

Finally and this is something I would not advise you to do but it is an option nevertheless. If the smell of cigarettes is revolting to you, you may have to start setting some form of limitations. i.e She cannot be with you if she just recently smoked. However this may rive your wife to smoke even more so I would NOT advise you to do this.

The honest truth is that baring a divine intervention this is not a habit she would quit immediately. Dig in and be prepared for the long haul

I completely understand why you want to marry a Nigerian due to shared values and a similar culture but marriage is much more than these things. As you pointed out there are just no marriageable Nigerian men where you stay so what are your options?

1. Long distance relationship with a man in Nigeria: This would be a disaster in my opinion because you are too far away for any meaningful relationship and chances of infidelity are pretty high.
2. Search for a Nigerian in nearby cities: Australia is pretty big and chances are that this might not work either. Besides you stated that the single Nigerians you met are more interested in the Aussie babes over there so this doesn't work either
3. Settle down with someone in your location that genuinely likes you regardless of the fatc that they are oyibo.

I honestly think you should go with the third option. Find someone who has the same values as you and who really likes you and start a relationship that would hopefully end up in marriage.
