I read someone can only get to Barbados only through the UK, US or Canada. Please kindly share if you have a contrary opinion to that.
Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Jamaica.

You should need because you'll definitely clear security to board your next flight. Without a Visa you cant clear security. Maybe you should call the embassy. Althiugh I'm sure you'll need a Visa.
You will need a visa, you don't have to pass through U.S/Canada airport, go through Europe or Brazil.

But he will surely get it unless you're talking in terms of available dates for interview.
Get what? they won't give him... except with very good travel history, they know if they denied you will find another route.

I'm planning on traveling to the barbados from Lagos, would be having a stopover at the US...
better go through Europe, for you to get a transit visa, you will have to go through normal interview.

Hahahahahah. You see people hate to be told the truth. I followed this thread bumper to bumper as soon as I booked my appointment. I didn't allow any post discourage me. I needed it cos of my unique circumstance. Some said avoid the thread a week before interview cos of negative stories. Hahahahahah, I read it in the morning before I left the house. Why? I want to see the good, bad and ugly so I can be better informed. People choose not to share cos maybe they realised their mistakes as soon as the stepped out of the consulate. Share your transcripts and hear the ugly truth so you can do better next time. I've recommended this page to lots of people. One recently got approved. There's a whole lot of experience to gather in the mix here
You get mouth jare.... grin

If you read through the thread, you will understand that i quoted that no discount was offered or taken. E.g It's like you live in ikoyi and so someone assumes tha all flat rate @ikoyi axis is 2million. Whereas, thats not the case. You can scout for cheaper flats and area anywhere in ikoyi and still live at ikoyi. Is that to say that you got a discount?. I had my baby in the outskirts on NJ and it's still considered NJ anyways but could i be explaing this to the VO?.....
Try to get the itemized bill.... I believe you.

Okay, a thought came to my mind that may be some of these hospitals might need to have some of the blame placed on them too...even though I understand that some people might not agree with me.

Reason I am putting some of the blame on some of these hospital in the US is because most of those US hospitals are not transparent with their itemized charges for each medical treatment( even though lately Trump signed a law that they should start doing it).

Most of these hospital are under the impression that if they charge the self-paying(International) patients the same as they would charge most private insurance or US government insurances that most of those self-paying(International) patients paying with cash will not be able to cover the medical charges and as a result they might not be able to get their money from them if they run away.

So most of those hospital will offer those self-paying with cash payments more discount hoping that it won't scare those patient away to payoff the medical charges billed on them.
I think they should be honest upfront with their International Patient.

Hello great people,

I did not type my middle name on appointment slip when I was filling it to book appointment for b1/b2 visa, and I am afraid I would not be interviewed because of this. I made effort to edit the it but it was greyed out so can't change it.

Note my middle name is in my DS160 form as contained in my passport: it is only on appointment slip that I did not add while filing it.

My interview is next week Friday; how can I correct this? Or I should not bother about it?

Please your urgent response from experience is appreciated.
You have nothing to worry about. I don't think middle name is required on the CGI page.
worry about your ties to Nigeria.

I thought they warn you people of getting discount and why did u give birth when u know Trump is tightening it immigration....... He is even detaining his own black citizen doubting their American passport
You are just annoying somebori
What you just said is totally wrong, she said it was not discounted and she has her zero balance. My suggestion is to get in touch with the hospital and ask for your full financial detail of the child birth and if there's any hidden discount, if there's none please reapply and explain with evidence of your findings.

Hi...I'm heading to the US on F1 visa

I read somewhere that cooking utensils are quite expensive in the US...I'm wondering if I can go with a few in my baggage from Naija.

For the experienced travelers...Is it possible?
Did you bother to research it? I don't know why you will want to do that but if that pass through my scanner machine, I will assume you're trying to smuggle drug into the country, this is just my opinion and I believe no matter how expensive kitchen utensil is, you will always find the cheaper one.

Wondering though, why OP has turned to “passerby”! Why not go ahead and make the thread lively by answering same and repeated questions on every page? I know you will initially enjoy it, but I guarantee you that you will get worn out and exhausted at some point, maybe earlier than even the OP’s permutation.

I actually don’t believe someone who really did Parts 1-4 of that thread just wrote the above though....

Seye, how far my guy? Good morning to you and the house jare!
Bro na so we see am oooo.... when I joined the thread, it was fun reading the whole thread and the same still applies now.
Bro hope all is well?

Why won't it dry, when all they do is referring new people to go and read thread 1-4 whenever they ask simple question which can be easily answered and make the thread lively. How do you want such thread to attract traffic. I read threads 1-4 and just turned to on of the passersby.
That thread is not for entertainment, reading the thread from the beginning to the end will help intending applicant.

Hello house,
Can anyone advise if there's a car park around US embassy where I can park my car early in the morning?
I'm thinking of leaving my house 4am and d chances of getting uber by that time is quite slim.
Thanks
Do you live in Abuja (Not Marrabah and Masaka)? if yes you can leave around 6am, you will get to the embassy before 7:15am no matter where you're coming from.

Thanks, but I would prefer an earlier date (not necessarily July) for certain reasons. The main reason for asking is to get feedback from you guys about that warning I was displayed about paying additional MRV fee
If you cancel your interview date, you will get October dates.

My brother is a student in Germany (9 months) and was denied USA visa for a conference on b1/b2 visa. he has been to United Kingdom several times (travelling experience). BUT the consular said he has to use more than a year in Germany before he can issue him a visa. Why? Please any expert to enlighten me on it, thanks in anticipation.
He should wait for 1 year.
