Adaku1988: Hey guys,
I got my B2 visa finally and I have been preparing my visit to the US. I fly from Lagos to New York (JFK) next week Wednesday. I saw in some threads that there are US customs border agents in Istanbul. (I will be flying with Turkish). If at all I get screened in Turkey, does it mean they stamp your passport there and no need to be stamped in US?
Sorry it's my first time visiting the US but I have never had issues travelling within Africa and Spain.
God bless. There''s no U.S. customs preclearance facility in Turkey. |

skdfu747: It is not a scam it is actually a bilateral agreement between the government of Nigerian and USA. For instance, if a U.S citizen wishes to visit Nigeria that person needs to apply for a Nigerian visa and if the applicant fails to meet the requirements then the applicant will be denied a Nigerian visa without a refund. Please get it into your head a visa is not a right it is a privilege. The American embassy don’t force any one to apply for their visas and they made it clear that visa fees are non-returnable so don’t pretend like you are not aware of that. There is absolutely nothing you can do about the high denial rates because too many Nigerians are involved in violation of the terms of theirs visas by visa overstay. It is their country and you can’t tell them what to do. God bless you for this summary. |

profjustine458: I blamed people like you and our leaders for not taking action against the exploitation of Nigerians by foreign embassies Visa is a privileges not your right, which country will open their eyes and allow Nigerians to turn their countries to what you turn Nigeria to, stop the blame game and start doing your part in making this country great, South Africa just gave the Ghanaian passport visa free access to their country when will that happen to Nigeria? you and I know why that will not happen unless we change our ways. |

Anyone with good information should please confirm this. You have the internet, do your research and do you know that Delta Airline flies to Lagos daily from Atlanta, so if there's any problem it will be on the mainstream news network not a faceless social media. |

profjustine458: Finally Nigerians just realized this embassy's are on our soil to scam us........... The want us to keep applying and the continue to use our money to develop their land How? they're developed already? oh or you mean Nigerian not eligible should stop applying for U.S visa? what U.S.A gave us in aid/grant is 3x what they made from the Embassy and I'm very sure that 1/4 of what they made is spent on maintaining their infrastructures in Nigeria, in short they used part of the money in purchasing the new properties in Eko Atlantic so that means the money stays in Nigeria. |

rentAcock: If chicken flavoured indomie is not allowed, how can chicken suya be allowed? Your sister ran away from Nigeria to live in America so she should conform and assimilate with their culture there. She should be eating BBQ chicken wings and not suya or better still let her return home and build Nigeria. Please this is not allowed on this thread... don't bring your anger here, our job here is to enlighten people not to criticize... mulberry: Good day All,
I landed in Orlando on Sunday and Poe was smooth after gathering all documents for previous births. Visa was renewed in March last year but was not used till now.
Was asked only two, what I was here for and how long I will be staying.
Told her childbirth and will be staying for two months. She stamped me in till December 2019 and I was out of there.
After all the horror stories, I am grateful to spend less than 4mins with the CBP Officer. Nice one....I wish you safe delivery and please pay for everything. Stay safe. |

Kalkaothar: @Seyewest, what makes me think they will give me is the ability to convince the consular officer this time, being able to demonstrate my eligibility better than last and above all, God's favour. Here is my previous transcript that led to a denial;
After passing passport and i-20 upon request; VO: Why finance Me: My goal is to work in the Financial services industry, specifically corporate finance. I did Finance as my undergraduate major, so a graduate degree in finance will equip me with the required mathematical and analytical skills to excel in the chosen career field. It will also improve on the theories I have learnt at my undergraduate level while providing me with practical applications of the said theories.
VO: Who is sponsoring? Me: I got a 30% Dean's scholarship in form of a tuition waiver and my uncle will be handling the rest
VO: what does he do? Me: He is into clearing and forwarding business. Also does Agriculture. *I paused....then continued; I have his bank statements and affidavit..
VO: I was(or wasn't, I didn't hear him clearly) going to ask for that Me: searching for the document
VO: you do not qualify Me: I left
N.B: my voice shaked a little at the start of the answer to my first question but it wasn't obvious at all I think you should have a specific place you will like to work with when you finish your study in U.S and also have all document on hand. |

Kalkaothar: Hello guys! I'm new here, please help with clarifications and advise on the following. I was denied a U.S Student visa at the Lagos Embassy on the 20th of June. School starts August 20 and classes start August 26. I am considering reapplying. Here are my questions; Will I be able to use emergency booking and I if I am, who has an idea on the nearest available EMERGENCY date in Lagos? Someone said since I was denied in Lagos, I should still reapply in Lagos, what do you think? What are the chances for getting my visa approved if I reapply a second time after 2weeks of denial?
Thanks in anticipation of your response. Kindly advice on other informations I might need. What makes you think they will give you visa even after re-applying and can you share your transcript here? |
