@seyewest and ayenikunle, many thanks.my concern is 1 -,can wife alone with 3 kids go while i forfeit mine, pay another MRV?2 - if i pay another MRV, will i do another drop box or i directly book for an interview. 3-is it a must we all must go since follow up interview has been scheduled?
training dates came out after i book visa appointment. your best advise please
I believe they can go without saying you have an important meeting to attend and I think you can still reschedule another date instead of paying for another visa fees.

@ seyewest and other gurus in the house, please my brother applied with dropbox a family of 3 children, now passport has been returned with follow up interview scheduled but he has an official engagement on same date, the engagement (training) came up after interview was scheduled
can the wife and children alone go for the interview?if yes, will that means he will automatically lose this date since he doesnt want to cancel for everyone and rebook again?, will you advise he pay for new MRV later or what is the best way to go ahead please?
The follow up interview date is not just one date... he can choose from as many as 5 dates if not he should hold on till he's free to go for interview with his family.

Hello house, I just got over the trauma I experienced, so i came here to seek advice. early last year I had plans to travel to the states, a friend of mine introduced me to an agent, he told me the agent had done it for a lot of people successfully, so I paid him and he kick started the whole process. to cut the story short, this guy made some west African stamps on my passport and also put a fake SA visa on it, he lured me into believing the stamps/visa would go through and even told me they don't scrutinize the stamps cause they are always having lots of applicants to attend to within a short period. on getting there all hell broke lose, and I was interrogated by a white officer who said lots of things I can't even remember, so he gave me this letter which i attached to this post and told me my passport would be confiscated due to fake documents I used.
so my question is have I been banned from entering the USA? though I know I shouldn't even think of applying again in the nearest future.
I could have asked the man directly but I froze and couldn't even think of anything but to leave the place.

No reprimand please as I have learnt my lesson, a reasonable criticism and an appropriate advice would be appreciated.
For your own good forget about U.S.
You should be worried about getting arrested in U.S (it may happen not saying it will happen). Get a new passport and travel elsewhere, it is not a must you must visit U.S

Leave blank. PP number is different from PP book number of course, I have seen peeps the number of pages the passport has (32 or 64) and the bottom numbers after the passport number itself. I don’t really understand it and I have always left it blank as not applicable without consequence even once. Those that know better may clarify please....
True... Leave it blank

My situation. I have a Sister on a H4 visa, even though visiting her is not the purpose of my trip. I applied for tourism purpose and I have never been to the US and this was my first application. I got my degree and master’s in the UK and I still have valid UK visa. However,

When people say Visa is God’s doing, that is not a lie. A Pastor with extensive travel history, was denied Visa. I had everything going against me, Sister in the US, Single and of marriageable age. I stammer, especially if am in a tense situation but for some stroke of luck, once I told her I stammer, I did not stutter throughout the interview. Honestly, I avoided any US visa thread on Nairaland for four days before my interview, because the rejections were depressing and I just was reading US visa success stories just to create a positive vibe in my head. I also knew it was not do or die, since I am going on holiday, I figured if they said no, I will go somewhere else. I planned to smile all through but I did not, I was just formal in my responses. Interview was yesterday and this afternoon I got a message that passport is ready for collection. Good luck with to all the applicants, just ensure you know your travel plans and be confident.
Nice one and congrats.... It seems Abuja has been refusing a lot of applicant lately... reason for the early message.

Good day everyone, my wife and I had our interview @ Abuja last week. We were refused, please help me with your opinions to know what went wrong.
VO - Passport

NOTE: No travel history, my wife just wanted to visit US because most of her colleagues have visited so I am just trying to fulfil her desire. Thanks everyone.
Sorry about the refusal... stop wasting your money and explain to madam that you need good travel history for now... forget about your uncle, he's not the reason for your refusal.
Start building your travel history with your family.

Please is it mandatory or compulsory for someone to travel on the same date indicated on the DS 160 after being approved or can one wait a little longer to travel;(a month);I’m just asking to avoid any issues at the POE.
@seyewest and @omobendel24 or any guru in the house ;please I need to be enlightened about this.
Thanks a lot.
It's important to travel at the date indicated on DS160 if you're attending a Conference,Seminar etc but if it's for visit.. it's flexible.

Good morning all, a friend of mine stammers a little and has an interview at the US embassy next week. Is it okay for her to tell them immediately after 'good morning' about this, so they would not think that her stutter is caused by something else? Please let me know your thoughts
Yes.. He/She should inform the V.O

I have submitted my ds-160 form and booked my appointment coming up in Feb.I try to retrieve my ds-160 application form today, and generate another confirmation number, but I later cancelled the new ds-160 application without submitting it.
I want to know if my previous ds-160 is still okay when I didn't submit the new one. and hope this have not affect my appointment information
Your submitted DS160 is still valid but in case you want to change it then generate another ds160 number through the old one so that you will be able to access your previously submitted DS160 data.

please I need quick response to my issue.
I try to retrieve my application (DS160 form) that I have submitted since October and booked appointment already, with my application ID, which my date is Feb next month. I think I don't fill the sponsor of my trip so I decided to create new application, but to my surprise when I create the new ID and have new ID number to edit my information on the form, then I see that it was filled already, and I decided to cancel the new ID application that I just get and I don't submit it the new ID application form again, I cancelled it.
1. hope this won't affect my former confirmation page again that have already submitted since October?
2. hope it won't affect my already book appointment date as well?
I sha don't understand what you talking about...

If truly you have nothing important to do in U.S.... Stay away from their Embassy and visit Europe for proper travel history.

Visa approved today. I have been a silent follower and this forum actually helped put me through all the steps needed.

Appointment was for 6.30am I was 8 in line but second to be interviewed by the white guy in window 3. The lady before me who was a Medical Doctor going for MPH also got her student visa approved. Every other window I observed were busy dishing out blue papers mostly to students.

I noticed the VO that interviewed me took his time interviewing the lady with student visa before approving her unlike others.

My transcript

Thanks everyone.
Good news finally...

Good day every one have been following this thread for some time now,I refused to come out and ask for suggestions cos of the way some pple are handling issues here..@Seyewest pls I need suggestions before going for my interview in March.
Am a single mother,I want to travel for Easter celebration with my child for just 10days.
I work as an administrative manager for an educational consultant for 4years now,my salary is 150k. I have a significant amount in my account.in my traveling plans I stated using 1m for the trip no invitation letter,no relative, intend staying in an home stay for that 10days.
My wedding is coming up by may.have only travel to Ghana for 4days.
1.do I need to provide my wedding iv
2.is my job enough prove for my home ties

Just give suggestions
The issue here is that U.S Embassy do not issue visa like they used to do... (i.e. 100 per day has turned to 10 per day) If your reason for traveling to U.S is not strong ( mostly tourism and visiting) they will denied you flatly especially if you don't have good travel history.
I will advise you to travel to places like Dubai, Southeast Asia and Europe.

Happy New Year to you all!

Please l need a guide on this. I have a daughter of 19 years, a 400L university student, (she still have a year to round up) she has no travel experience.

I would like to travel to US with her for holiday, her passport will expire by Dec 2019.

Please advice me on how to go about it and the chances she has.
Do you have travel history as family? if no why not travel somewhere else for now and build your travel history.

My dear, there's nothing wrong with a friend wanting to invite you over, but planning to change the visit visa to something else makes everyone think otherwise. If you really wanna visit the US, work on your strong ties back home. Once you start thinking of abusing your visa, then you may never get it. You should ask yourself the following questions:
- Are you a genuine visitor?
- Do u have more than enough to fund your trip?
- Have you visited other countries and returned back to your home country?
- Do you have enough proof you'll return home after this trip?

As much as I encourage folks to travel out and get exposed, it's a total NO if your intention is to abuse the purpose of your visa. It increases your BP and does affect the chances of genuine visitors back home. So, I'll advise you carry out a self appraisal.
Self Appraisal for someone wey wan run.... what is bad is bad... Don't help him with what he's planning to do.

The mistake you're making is traveling to U.S to stay/live in U.S illegally.

Hlo guys, pls I am scheduled to travel on a B2 visa at the weekend. Intended stay is 1week. Do I need to obtain a medical insurance cover for my trip? Is it usually asked for at POE?
No medical certificate or yellow card is required to travel to U.S from Nigeria.
