donchukey: Pls I work with a federal agency. I am looking at spending my annual leave in the United States with my wife (Miami). I have never travelled before. I and my wife are both first timers, we have 6 kids but we don't intend travelling with them. What are the required documents? with a bank statement of 3million, what are our chances of getting a visa? \ Why not start with Dubai or an Africa country... |

Nicklaus619: The rational behind it Just as I mentioned earlier, u have the opportunity of securing a job and staying after your programm. so I just want to make the perfect choice that's why I am justaposing USA and Canada Hope you have visa for both countries? if not you have no choice yet. |

cerezo: I'll advise you plead with your Dad to increase your salary even if u have to return the excess one way or the other. A good way is to shoulder the family/domestic expenses that Dad normally funds. In a way, he has only transferred the responsibilities to you which I believe will bolster your application tremendously. Also, you don't have to mention you are working for your Dad. Get one of his staff to do you an intro letter stating your annual emolument and your role in the company. Please jettison the idea of Dad sponsoring you (you are a graduate and what you are simply telling VO is that Dad is sponsoring your exit from Ngr). If Dad really likes you that much, he would show it in your monthly take-home. Lastly, do not appear for visa interview until about 6 months after your new salary. This way, you can equip yourself with at least 6 months statement of account showing this nice salary. There are other things to consider tho, should be a short vacation on a low budget, book an hotel and draw up a good plan for your vacation without your Aunt in the picture. If u do all these and you don't get the visa, it's just gonna be one flimsy excuse, not that you couldn't prove strong ties back home. This is one of the reason they do not check our bank statement... simply because we can lie for Africa. |

JenkaKD: Good channel and good videos, but you need more subscribers to be more popular. Youtube is a hard social media, where you can get a good popularity, opening up the possibility of more people to share videos. But for this you need to collect this base of people. I found very good service, https://buyrealsocial.com/youtube/likes-yt/. It`s rather cheap for a such good quality. Thank you |

fantastical: Alright @oluwa234, I really appreciate your contribution in this matter. But if I'm to proceed in applying for the visa, which category of visa should I apply for since I'll like to work after the training? You seem to get the wrong idea in your head... You're not allowed to work with a visiting visa, if anyone told you so, just know that they're lying to you although it does not rule out the fact that you can't work but it's very illegal and you maybe ban or even deported... If you want to work in U.S LEGALLY... Go about it legal and one more thing and at your age if you stay in U.S more than 2 months, it's a red flag. |

kkole: Good day to you all, My very first time on Nairaland. Nairalander, please be easy on me coz i desperately need a way out of the mess i have gotten myself into or maybe about to get myself into. I have been to many countries and that includes US,Canada, schengen countries and African countries too. To be honest,it has been my intention to send my wife and kids to live in the US but the plan was not suppose to come into play until when my second son is about 10yrs old. Things took a different path when DW wont let me have peace at home, insisting she wants to relocate earlier than i am proposing. They have been gone for six months and i miss them alot,i want to visit but the fear of what i have heard about people in the same situation as mine worries me. I need a way out of the mess i have gotten myself into by letting them stay back or the mess i am about to get myself into when i eventually board a flight to the US
@seyewest,looking forward to your advise I'm sorry about your problem... as you can see, we share POE stories and transcript here. Good luck |

Tbissy: Please I need an advice on this platform. I had been to the US 3times in the last 6yrs. The 1st&2nd trips were for training and the last one was made in October this year, self sponsored as I already left the coy thru which I got the VISA initially. I went so that I could use my VISA which was about to expire which I did successfully. I spent 1 week in the US and returned home. In all the trips, I never overstayed. Now I look forward to traveling with my family (My wife and our child) in my next journey during my leave next year but I am scared to apply with them due to the fear of denial which I read here everytime. I don't want to do my drop box alone this time for I will like to travel with them as I said earlier. Both of them have not travelled out before. My VISA has equally expired. What are the possible ways out? What are my chances of getting our VISAS approved as a family? How can I manage the whole situation? Or shld i just jejely go and renew my own alone. Abegi oooo. Pls advise me oooo. Seyewest, omobendel and odas. I await your reply. I'm not sure giving them your international passport with US visa will work this time.... Since your visa has expired maybe you should request for interview with your family but the problem is that, you may not get the same interview date with them (Not sure about how it work). In case you want to have your interview with your family please go with your bank statement and also your wife work/job matters as well. |

Because she ought to have easily used the dropbox route being above 80.... Mancala: Actually, it will be the opposite. Nigerians will not be rushing to the U.S. or any other Western country if Visa on arrival/visa waiver is granted. This is because our country will be so darn good, nobody will want to leave . They will never give us until Nigeria is at least developed like South Africa. true |
