I will advise you to do a little of bit of research online, on this thread and also on U.S Embassy website for Nigeria.... Because from what I can deduced, these is very new to you (FYI, your son will need his own International Passport, pay for his own visa fees and you need ties to Nigeria to be able to convinced the V.O)

Here's my third POE transcript. Flew Delta Airlines Economy Comfort+. Best decision I've ever taken because of my long legs and flight distance to Texas. Was hoping to use the self help kiosk at Atlanta airport but I was directed to join the queue. The queue was really long and I am sure I spent almost an hour there before it got to my turn:

2nd leg of flight was delayed a little and Delta tried to make up by loading us with snacks once we boarded. Asked for a sugar free drink and the hostess tried to pull my legs by asking me if I truly believed any of those drinks are sugar free. Like how can something taste so sweet and still have no sugar. Lol. Had a nice time. Economy Comfort+ is Bae.

Pay their visa fees and when you're about to schedule date for interview, an option will ask you if you want to add family members.

I went to pick my luggage -carry-on size but had to check it in because of my feminine orisirisi.
As I was heading for the exit, another officer saw me.
CBP-2: Ma'am where are you arriving from:
Me: Amsterdam
CBP-2: Did you visit any other country on this trip?
Me: Yes. my journey actually originated from Uganda.
CBP-2: Took my passport, placed it in a yellow-trimmed folder. This way, please...
So I had to go to secondary inspection. When it was my turn, the officer (a different one) asked same questions again. Me: same answers.
Said they would have to inspect my bag. As I opened it, another officer opened my backpack, and in the process, he saw my Official Passport. Picks it, opened it and goes: "ma'am" why aren't you traveling on your Diplomatic Passport and I replied that my US Visa is on my personal passport.
What is the purpose of your trip? Me: xyz Conference here in Atlanta. Do you have any food in your bag? Me: No, just noodles. Ok. You can re-pack your bag. Take the right to the exit.
The whole process took less than 10 minutes plus wait time. A lot of guys on Secondary Inspection were almost in tears due to the fear of missed connection.

By this time, I'll be out of engagement (NYSC) and I just want to visit for this and head back. My trip would also be funded by my parent. I was recently rejected by the UK in November when I applied to go for vacation in December (reason: home ties, personal financial situation), so I didn't want to go ahead with this but my cousin is saying I could still go ahead since they are different countries and the processes are different.

Since UK denied you... why not try Countries like UAE, South Africa etc abi that's not part of the grand plan?

Go to a photographer and tell them you want a U.S Visa passport and you want it to be whatsapp to your phone, you should be able to upload it in that format.
The person accompanying you will be turn back, it's only done for children and senior citizens.

Let your friend do his thing... must you travel together... mind you, you don't know the kind of opportunities you will have in 10yrs and don't allow ''today'' frustration ruin your future plan (Imagine, you got employed with a firm and part of your work duties involves a lot of traveling to U.S but you can't do it because you've done something fraudulent 4-7 yrs ago) Think am well..

And sit through a 12hrs+ flight, not beans o . Used to love it when United was still operating cos their Boeing Dreamliner fleets were more comfy than Delta's narrow planes

UK to U.S is around 7-8hrs, that is apart from the 7 hours from Nigeria to UK.

I went for my B1B2 (Conference B1)visa interview last week wednesday in Abuja.I think I answered all the questions correctly and honestly.At the expiration of the interview the VO returned my passport and my Ds 160 and gave me a 221g administrative yellow paper,she said I 'll be contacted through mail.No documents was checked or asked for during the interview session.The next day I received a mail from the embassy with attached DS-5535 form to be filled and email back to the embassy.The attached DS 5535 form has been filled and mail back the embassy.
Don't understand what this process is all about,anyone with useful information and advice is highly welcome.

Lol I worked in a bank 2017/early 2018 and in the department people went to USA and returned very often for vacations, short courses and professional training. I also applied a B visa and was issued with no difficulties. There are different kind of people that work in the bank and the VO's tend to ask bout your day to day task . A highly skilled banker is not likely to cross the border to seek asylum in Canada. A cashier in the bank is more likely to do that

Now you get the drift... at the end of the day, they gave bankers bad names.
