1. As a guest speaker you need to do a little investigation about your host denomination. Familiarize yourself with their doctrines, idiosyncrasies, methods and proclivities.
Go a bit further to know the current mood in the particular congregation. This will guide you to manage your emotions and predict the reception you are likely to get.
For instance , a church who just had a burial activity can't be expected to respond promptly to your calls.

2. A guest speaker who decides to swerve from the topic given him into other areas is being rebellious to the host minister. Hence the need to have a note to guide you in your delivery. A guest speaker who is expected to speak on leadership should not speak on divine healing .

3. Raising funds as a guest speaker without obtaining the permission of your host before the meeting is regarded as an Ecclesiastical illegality. Your host must be in the know of whatever you intend to do with his microphone.
Try as much as possible to stay within the purview of the authority given to you. Attempt to impress your host by raising funds may boomerang.
I've heard guest ministers say " though my host Pastor doesn't know about this fund raising, I'm led to do it"

4 .It is not within your space to correct what you consider a doctrinal error in your host church .
That's why you should have done your homework on the host denomination . If you're not comfortable with their doctrinal stand, kindly turn down the speaking offer rather than making a mess of their doctrines on their platform. It is uncalled for.

5 Try as much as possible to stay within the stipulated time given to you. If possible, conclude your message before your time elapses.

Sex has been an underated destroyer of lives and destinies within and outside marriage. This topic does help the life of a believer because the anticipated arguments back and forth will help to develop the right orientation and mindset about sex .

The place and power of sex in a man's life is pivotal. It's a rampant belief amongst Pastors into prayer ministries that sex or too much of it with your wife reduces a Minister's level of anointing, more of an extinguisher of the "fire" in a Pastor.
Thus , they seldom do it, especially when seeking for more fire and power and when they do , they ensure they get an infilling.

I have also listened to a Pastor who said" the more sex you have with your wife, the more the anointing flows"

I want to assume the 2 arguments emanated from their experiences which I cannot argue against.

I'm talking about sex within the walls of marriage. I assume we all know that sex outside marriage is a sin unto God.

I at least know that sex takes from a man, takes away his strength, body nutrients, mental alertness etc he is the donor, the contributor, the giver , while the woman is the receiver, taker, and absorber.

While the Bible outrightly condemns sex outside of marriage (Prov 7) , it is silent on whether or not lots of sex in marriage reduces the anointing.

Its safe to assume that ministers who regularly observe long days of fastings cannot engage in sex too often due to the abstinence while fasting.

Whichever side of the divide you belong, share your thoughts.

The government want to be seen as doing enough. Otherwise, they are not been reasonable. The FG opened up interstate travel where passengers sit in a bus for hours without adequate ventilation and the Lagos State government says churches can't meet in one hour once a week.
Though I can imagine the kind of pressure the Governor is facing. Been pulled back and forth by variant interest groups.

If you going to preach about it, just say i used to fornicate or steal or lie or any sin without going into details and you sounds remorseful. When you go into details, you give glory to your sinful past which gives room for the devil to tempt even the most born again. You do not expect a rapist to go into details how he used to rape girl , you will be angry and may kill him. A certain Bishop who was an armed robber , while preaching mentioned how he smashed the head of baby on the wall in the presence of the parents because money was hidden under the pillow upon which the baby slept.
