@christians, maybe next time, you should try using the following in refuting threads like these:

1. The entire op does not contain statistics to prove that christianity is actually declining in the US neither does it define what declining means, in absence of such, we can take declining to mean number of people who no longer believe in christianity or hold it tenets as being serious. Now because the opinion of americans were not sampled to know what they think, the entire OP is garbage without proof. Q.E.D.

2. The OP having failed in demonstrating any statistical evidence further make a huge gaffe by assuming that people voted for Obama because of his opinion on gay marriage. Now that is far from the truth, no black in his right mind would have vited for Romney because he can relate to black people because his grand father owned slaves, even if Obama held a distasteful support on homosexuality, blacks would natural support one that "looks" like their own rather than waste time with some that lacks respect for them. Another reason Obama supports a welfarist state hence that in itself means 47 percent speech really worked against Romney. They numerous reasons why Obama got support but it hardly had to do with Gay marriage. And in addition fewer whites actually voted Obama.

3. Because 3 states happen to support gay marriage and marijuana abuse hardly means that christianity is in decline, it could be declining in those states which are normally liberal states in the US. Next time get a state from the conservative South that approves such behavior.

Logoboy, try getting hard facts than always making assertions that only lead to an endless stream of argument.
