Sweetnecta:Matthew 19:13-15 (King James Version) 13Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. 14But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. 15And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence. and Mark 10:13-15 (King James Version) 13And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. 14But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. 15Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. and Luke 18:15-17 (King James Version) 15And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them. 16But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. 17Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein. None of these accounts say 'suffer not little children', and I do not understand what the context of your question is! However, I can explain that Jesus was telling the disciples to 'suffer the little children' as in 'allow the little children'; 'forbid them not' as follows in the scripture shows that he clearly means 'not to stop them'. So Jesus was saying ' allow the little children to come to me', 'do not stop the little children from coming to me'. The remainder of that conversation is saying that you had to come to Jesus with 'a clean unbiased mind' like children; believing, accepting and trusting. I will be happy to shed more light on your 'suffer not little children' quote if you point me to the exact verse where Jesus said so, in case you were referring to scripture other than I quoted above. How body, family and work? ![]() |
That's the problem with a 'man' owning a 'church'. 'Church Elders' can't do anything when the 'Church owner' is misbehaving, and can't really say no to a family member taking over. God help us all! Amen! |

obowunmi:Did you forget that in this case, the poster CHOSE to make a vow to God? While this choice might be based on what he was taught in 'Sunday school' or other reasons, your advice that he should disregard that covenant with the God he believes in is not in line with what the word of God says. If he were someone who had no regard for the laws of God and had no relationship with God, your advice may be appropriate. Losing one's virginity does not make one worthless before God! |
Ilorin is a place where you see men selling okro and vegetable in the market while their women sell cow meat. It is also a place where u will find 3 elderly men, say of b/ween 70 - 85 years driving a taxi on shift basis ![]() |

Image123:Better put, now. Nobody achieves anything for God. Thinking one has achieved anything for God looks like pride! Don't you agree? God does things through us. God enables us to do things for him. It's not by our own power, might or strength. Thanks for clarifying what you intended to pass across! |
obowunmi: My Bible says something along this lines of the smartness of this world being foolishness before God. and that I have the wisdom of God. Now, care to tell me what your Kama Sutra' says, 'Mr Smart obowunmi oruko lo n ro'ni'? |
Wonder what Gaddafi would have done with 'his' '1 Million strong Army' with his new 'situation'! Unleash them on the 'rebelling' Libyans, perhaps . . . and other African 'tyrants' can use the army to quash 'rebels' in their respective countries! |
obowunmi:I am sure that in reading my replies to this thread, you DO KNOW that I in no way MADE MYSELF GOD! I made it clear that my opinion is that since the OP's vow is between 'him and God' then he should consult 'the word of God' in respect of the vow he made. Did I hit a nerve? I am sorry but the truth still has to be pointed out that advice that is not in line with 'the word of God' is 'devilish' in the OP's case! If you have no regard for the law of God as regards 'sexual continence' then you have no place to advise someone who knows what God requires of him and why he promised God he will keep himself pure! Aj'egbodo to n wa enu kun'ra! |
obowunmi:I have no idea where you found the commandment to 'stone a divorcee to death' from, Anyway, As a Christian I am not under the 'Law of Sin and Death' but that of 'Spirit and Life'. I know what is right by the Spirit of God that lives in me! |
OK! 'Watching out'! |
fyncorp:Romans 1:16 - I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. Do not be ashamed of anything connected to the good news of Christ! Do not be asahmed of your love and desire for more of Christ! Do not resist the Holy Spirit. Let him take you where he wants you to be! |
^^^ Is your new id abubello? Why don't you explain who 'your' Jesus is to the guy? . . might just be what he prefers to hear!BTW, Gen 1:1 - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. When knowledge came by the Holy Spirit, further light was shed on the matter: John 1: 1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. This same 'word' that was with God, and that was 'God' came down in the flesh to his own people: John 1: 14 - The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. The very ones he created and came down to save rejected him . . . and they still do John 1:11 - He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. JESUS IS 'GOD COME DOWN IN THE FLESH TO HIS OWN CREATION'! Are you still rejecting God? He came down to you in the flesh to show you how to reconnect with him. Accept him today! |
^^^ ehm, obowunmi, you see . . the problem is that he did not make the covenant with you . He made it with God, so it is the word of God that will let him know whether it is right to break that covenant. You might not have a problem with fornication but the two parties here seem to do.@ ceeplus HISservant has already pointed you in the right direction based on the word of God (the God you made your covenant with). Try your very best to keep your vow! Ask God for his strength, and avoid being alone in private with your GF for starters! God bless you! |

One has got to be careful with Western Union 'Agents' (Banks etc). The worst part is that you get very little help from the 'agent' or western union itself. I got an email from a scammer telling me to pay send some money via western union to any of my friends and send him the mtcn and other details for to confirm that I have sent the money. I could clearly see that he would collect the money with faked ID at a 'very co-operative' agent location. I hope he gets his money back. You can't even trust Nigerian Banks! |
@ Topic It only means the government fears the people coming together will bring it down! The only way to prevent them is to tell them Allah will be very cross with them for protesting! . . and which citizen (muslim or not) wants to protest against Allah ( the Saudi government) and risk his (its) fury . . . . they both seem to have merged into one! ![]() |
