ROSSIKE:So what do you call those actions when done at a time when 'IT IS NOT OKAY' to do them? Try to answer that without contradicting your quoted statement. What grade of chieftaincy title will you confer on anyone who rapes your sister, seeing as their is no sin? Will you throw a party in the perpetrator's honor, seeing as he has committed no wrong? 'Sin', sir, is 'wrong-doing', transgression of God's law, unholiness, falling short of God's standard! |

Sweetnecta:You accept the instructions concerning 'rakah of any Salah' (and the rest as you quoted)despite it not mentioned in the Quran but in the Hadith, yet you told me on our thread that any Hadith that says different from the Quran is incorrect! This makes me think that your classification of any Hadith that portrays the truth about Mohammed's sexually immoral life as incorrect is an attempt to pull the wool over other people's eyes. How is/are the Hadith(s) that you refer to above more valid than any other Hadith that records that Mohammed consummated his marriage with Aisha when she was 9 years old? If you can fault one Hadith, why should the other Hadiths be taken as gospel truth? Please also consider the extract below |
Joagbaje:Joagbaje, Could you give me as many 'godly' reasons/motives as possible why 'spirit-filled child of God' may decide to take a second wife, and please back those reasons/motives with support from the Bible? As regards the last part of your post, we are urged to 'come as we are', not 'come and sin'. |
Explain Hadiths and their relevance to Islam (and muslims), please! I would love to speak 'knowledgeably' on Hadiths but Sweetnecta has only managed to muddle it all up with his 'tuface' stance and hasn't succeeded in giving any clear explanation on why he has two opinions on the relevance of Hadiths! |
I'm loving this! |
.goes to tell us that FROM THE BEGINNING God expects us to keep to one wife whether she turns out as good or evil! This part of your post actually brings me to Jesus saying that the only grounds for divorce was 'fornication' which many of us (me included) misinterpret as 'adultery'. Given that a married woman cannot commit fornication, there are no grounds for divorcing one's wife. Looking at the Jewish marriage customs, the man gives the wife-to-be's family any 'bride price' and he goes away for a period of time and comes back 'unannounced' to take his wife (Just like Jesus' second coming). If during the period of the groom's absence, the wife-to-be commits fornication and it becomes known after the wedding, that will be grounds to divorce her. It is similar to our waiting for the Lord, we ought to remain faithful till he comes and not fornicate with the world because he will arrive unannounced. Anything else the wife does during the marriage does not give grounds for divorce. Hosea was commanded to take his wife back despite her adultery, and God forgave and made a new covenant with Israel despite their 'adultery' with other gods. |
Joagbaje, will you agree that 'the exclusion of all others' is an implied term where you do not expressly tell your wife-to-be that 'I am marrying you on the condition that you will let me marry more other wives while we are still together'? Whether you get married under a rock and stay mute throughout the ceremony, children of God still have a marriage covenant that is like that of ADAM and EVE before God. |
Firing squad, perhaps! ![]() |
VPersie: Whenever I am having sex with my friends, I usually last for about an hour and a half. However, my friends last longer (usualluy 2 hours) natuarally. What can I do to keep up with their sexual performance levels?I prescribe a car with manual transmission. Perhaps, it will improve your performance! ![]() |
I disagree, Joagbaje. A man who goes outside the covenant of Marriage with his wife commits adultery. As a child of God, how can your marriage vows say ' to the exclusion of all others' and you still go and bring an 'other' into your life? My using the word 'unlawful' was in reference to the marriage vows given that 'all other men or women are to be excluded'. How can you say before God and man that you will stick to your wife only and then you go bring somebody else in? That is treachery and covenant-breaking (Malachi as quoted earlier)! Numbers 30:2 If a man vow a vow unto the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth. Lev 27:9-10 And if it be a beast, whereof men bring an offering unto the LORD, all that any man giveth of such unto the LORD shall be holy. He shall not alter it, nor change it, a good for a bad, or a bad for a good Psalms 25:20-21 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee. Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee. Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight. We are obliged to perform any vows we make before the Lord, we cannot change 'those vows', hence when you vow that you will exclude all others from your marriage covenant, YOU SHOULD PERFORM IT!! We are advised not to be hasty in making our vows. God hates lying lips! |
@Joagbaje Matthew 5:28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If Jesus equated looking at a woman lustfully to committing adultery, bearing in mind that only a 'married person' can commit adultery, how can that 'married man' now go beyond lusting in his heart, actually sleep with someone else(whether he 'unlawfully maries them or keeps them as a mistress) and it is not equal to adultery? |
'K'olorun ji wa re o! will be better rendered as 'K'olorun ji a're. The 'JI WA" is already sounding like a pure Yoruba. You are correct! I forgot to 'kill' the 'W' in that syllable! |
Where 'S'oko j'epo? will usually mean 'Did you travel fine?; (literally means 'Hope the vehicle didn't use (too much) petrol/diesel!)and 'K'olorun ji wa 're o!' means 'May God wake us up fine in the morning'; With my mum, it could easily mean; 'I am so gonna wake you up tomorrow morning with 12 strokes of the cane! . It was so much fun learning the language while growing up! ![]() |
What is the difference between "In ora " and "In mo ora" ?Both mean the same thing but the latter many times indicate 'familiarity' and sometimes a bit of 'sarcasm' (reminds me of what my mum would say if she comes in and find you with 'unapproved company' , accompanied with plenty of 'eye rolling'.). Tone of speaker could indicate the difference. One of the line went like " O n ni n se n kete kai laye ria" and another singer said "O n ni n se n kete to wa laye ria". Does that mean that "kai" is ekiti dialect for "to", or do they mean something different ?The slight differences in the dialect show up in those two sentences again. 'kai' 'kee' 'ke i' 'to wa' (posh/modernised ekiti) 'ko a' All the above will be used by people from differerent Ekiti areas to mean 'that is/ that are' as in 'he is the one who has done everything 'that is' in our lives! |
While one might not be able to 'tell' one's parents to stop doing certain things, one can still be a voice of reason. You can still be their conscience. I always voiced my opinion and gave arguments while growing up. I had a say in my parents staying together when I was at 14, and again when I was 22 (with the support of my two younger sisters). We presented an argument my dad could not defeat. It wasn't difficult because my parents always taught us to do right and we always brought their attention to it when we 'felt' they were not doing right. By the time you say it 'jokingly' some ten times, they will realise you will not stop being their 'conscience'! It is disgraceful not to listen to reason from one's children/spouse but accept it when an outsider speaks it! |
Of course, they are. Those who know what their parents really are only cover up their shame and guilt with lots of money, generosity (not all though), and friends of the same feather! They feel safer amongst their kind. It is impossible for them to totally disconnect themselves from what their parents do. Even if they refuse any financial support from such parents, deep down inside, they are still ashamed of what their families do! |
@ Ileke - idi & Olumogun: Where you say 'mi ke lounje lule, sugbon ke se o la ti lo ra ounje. kimi fe se?' I would say ' me lounje lule, sugbon ee se la ti lo ra ounje. Kinni ki mi se? Your statement especially the 'mi ke' sounds like Moba LGA area /Ado LGA / 'posh' Ekiti to me. My Ekiti is more of 'Ijesha' and would not usually start a sentence with 'mi ke' but rather 'me'. |
Sweetnecta:I am glad you approve of a romantic relationship between couples! Awaiting your responses to our ongoing discourse! |
@Sweetnecta, I am sorry to say you DID NOT ANSWER MY QUESTION. I did not ask you to go into Aisha's marriage age here. (Not important because I researched it and know that the Quran instructs men who want to divorce their wives who have not started menstruating to wait 3 months before doing so to be sure that they are not pregnant. SEE QURAN 65:4. Children who have not yet reached puberty do not menstruate. Aisha was still playing with dolls when the marriage was consummated and Islam does not allow children who have reached the age of puberty to play with dolls. Are you more Muslim than the writers of the HADITHS? I know the Quran does not lie about Islam. Is Quran 65:4 a lie or are some parts of the Quran lies?) All I asked was why you condemned HADITHS that confirm an issue such as Aisha's marriage on our thread but vigorously defend 'all' HADITHS on this thread. Can you please answer the question of why you are 'oshaka-oshoko' in the matter of HADITHS in a very civil, intelligent and coherent manner, please? |
@vexdacool Seeing as you too are saying that where an Hadith is conflicting with the Quran it is suspect; can I conclude that 'every other thing' written in that particular Hadith it should be regarded as incorrect and I will also say that any other such account found in that Hadith (seeing as it is now incorrect) that is found in another Hadith makes that other Hadith incorrect too? e.g. Hadith A says Mohammed is 'THE ANOTHER COMFORTER', but the Quran disagrees, therefore, HADITH A is suspect. Given that it is suspect, we cannot trust anything said in the whole of HADITH A. If in HADITH A, it also says that 'MOHAMMED IS A PROPHET' and the same is said in HADITH B of Mohammed, since HADITH A is suspect and HADITH B agrees with it on 1 or 2 more points, can we therefore conclude that HADITH B is also incorrect, given that it shares common ground with HADITH A? @Sweetnecta Please answer the question I asked you; I'd like you to explain how you say one thing on one thread and say another on another thread!I believe you are the best person to explain your actions. |
Please, kindly pray along with me for the favour of God upon my life this week. I seek the kind of favour Esther found when she brought the matter of Haman before the King! God bless you all! |
@Sweetnecta, Given your vigorous defence of Hadiths here, how come you say some hadiths are not true on our thread? When I brought up the matter of Aisha, you said any hadiths that coontradict the Quran is not a true Hadith in trying to defend the age of consummation of Aisha's marriage! How come on this thread, all Hadiths are vital for a Muslim but on our thread incorrect when they showcase the real Mohammed! Just curious . . . . . . ! |
KunleOshob:Neither does the Bible say it is a sin to 'hack' into your friends computer . . . . . . . I'll leave it at that too! ![]() |
seyibrown: Please allow me to come back to this paragraph with scriptural proof that he had sex with women (and encouraged his counterparts/followers to do the same) captured on raids.sweetnecta: You got it.Surah 4:24 And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right hands possess. It is a decree of Allah for you. Lawful unto you are all beyond those mentioned, so that ye seek them with your wealth in honest wedlock, not debauchery. And those of whom ye seek content (by marrying them), give unto them their portions as a duty. And there is no sin for you in what ye do by mutual agreement after the duty (hath been done). Ishaq, pgs 509-528 - When 60 year Mohammed came out after spending an eventful night with 17 year old Safia, widow of murdered Khayber chief Kinana, he found Ayub Ansari guarding the tent. He asked why was he guarding the tent all night. He replied "apostle of Allah, you killed Safia's husband, brothers and father yesterday and were sleeping with her last night. I was worried about your safety. Mohammed was happy to hear that and prayed for Ayub. Can you please tell me whether Saffiyah, whose father, husband and other members of her family were killed in a raid agreed to marry and have intimacy with Mohammed on the same night of her capture! Please tell me why Ayub was afraid for Mohammed. Also, please tell me how Zainab (of Jahsh), Mohammed's adopted son's wife became someone Mohammed could have sexual relations with. In fact, could you please tell me briefly, how Mohammed came to have sexual relationships with all this Women, whether they were slaves, captured, concubines etc: Khadija, Sawda, Ayesha, Omm Salama, Hafsa, Juwariya, Omm Habiba, Maymuna (of Hareth), Fatima, Hend, Asma (of Saba), Zainab (of Khozayma), Habla, Asma (of Noman), Maria, Rayhana, Omm Sharik, Maymuna (not of Hareth) , Zainab (the third one), Khawla, Duba. If you choose not to respond to this bit about Mohammed's perception of a Moral life, I will not touch on the matter again on this thread. One thing is certain, he led a sexually immoral life and encouraged his followers. Followers of Mohammed are expected to Emulate him. This bit I would definitely want you to explain: How he died from being poisoned by one of his captured 'sex slave' women? You missed that bit when you said he went to heaven in one day and came back? Why did he not ressurect after his death? Or did he? If you think any of these things disgusting - sex with 9 year old Aisha + despoil of captured women + carnal knowledge of his son's wife - and would not think of doing them yourself; then Mohammed is not the one to follow. Sleep on it! And remember the one who would not condone any of those things but offers forgiveness through accepting his son . . . . this son resurrected after his death and offers eternal life to all those who accept him . . . . . and God's Spirit will dwell with them just as the son promised! Over to you, Sweetnecta . . . . . . . . . |
there is no account of pedophilia in Quran, hadith. Do you know the definition of pedophilia and who is a craddle-robber? Maybe you should ask MI5 or 6 of Scotland Yard. When you have them, please present them so that we can know who you are calling craddle-robbers by them. None of us. neither the lowly me, nor my mother Aisha (RA), now the Quran. If you have the verse of pedophilia in the Quran, please not be shy to reveal it or them. It will help christianity and damage Islam, I'm sure the world of christians and jews and hindus and sikhs will love you for it. I remember asking you the other time that a woman born in 1990 can not be 9 in 2008. I did not read your answer. So am asking you now, If Aisha's parents were divorced because the mom wanted to continue to worship idol, do you expect her to get pregnant and deliver Aisha, for a noble Muslim man Abu Bakr, while in the first year he was the first adult to enter Islam from outside the family of Muhammad (AS)? No hadith can disagree with Quran and be correct. SO if something is wrong, we know it is only hadith by name and not truly a hadith. It is like your gods by name and none of them is truly God! Far from it. What I disprove is the account of those who "Quoted" her incorrectly. This site will help you. I wonder if this is her problem with the noble prophet and she will finally become Muslima?: www.islamicboard.com/, islam/40223-aishas-age-17-years-old-argument.html - CachedQuran 65:4 As for the women who have reached menopause, if you have any doubts, their interim shall be three months. As for those who do not menstruate, and discover that they are pregnant, their interim ends upon giving birth. Anyone who reverences GOD, He makes everything easy for him. Someone who does not menstruate is most likely someone who is yet to reach the age of puberty. For such a person to be pregnant, they must have been having s-e-x. The Quran goes further on to instruct their husbands to allow three months to pass before divorcing them in order to be sure that they are not pregnant. The Quran allows men to have sex with pre-pubescent children! (Sahih Muslim, Book 008, Number 3311) 'A'isha reported that Allah's Apostle married her when she was seven years old, and he was taken to his house AS A BRIDE WHEN SHE WAS NINE, AND HER DOLLS WERE WITH HER; and when he (the Holy Prophet) died she was eighteen years old. (Sahih Muslim, Book 031, Number 5981) 'A'isha reported that she used to PLAY WITH DOLLS in the presence of Allah's Messenger and when her playmates came to her they left (the house) because they felt shy of Allah's Messenger whereas Allah's Messenger sent them to her. (Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 41, Number 4914) When the Apostle of Allah arrived after the expedition to Tabuk or Khaybar (the narrator is doubtful), the draught raised an end of a curtain which was hung in front of her store-room, revealing some dolls which belonged to her. He asked: What is this? She replied: My dolls. Among them he saw a horse with wings made of rags, and asked: What is this I see among them? She replied: A horse. He asked: What is this that it has on it? She replied: Two wings. He asked: A horse with two wings? She replied: Have you not heard that Solomon had horses with wings? She said: Thereupon the Apostle of Allah laughed so heartily that I could see his molar teeth. Bearing in mind that Islam only allows dolls for children who have not reached the age of puberty, Aisha had not reached the age of puberty. She had not started her had her first period when Mohammed consummated the marriage. Given that she was 18 when Mohammed died, and that she only spent 9 years as Mohammed's wife, she was only 9 when she was first 'touched'. When your daughter is 9, Sweetnecta, please let your 52 year old friend consummate marriage with her, in following Mohammed's footsteps. When you are 52, consummate marriage with a 9 year old, then I will know that you are a true muslim. |
And your relationship with Him then must be what he laid down, correctly. Christianity is not it. Go to the Quran, before it is to lateJohn 4:24 (King James Version) 24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. God requires that we worship him in 'Spirit' and in 'truth'. You need the Holy Spirit to be able to do this. You need Jesus for the Holy Spirit to come and dwell in you. God has not called us to worship him by washing our hands, legs and faces with water, sand or air. Washing the dirt of our 'outer man' does not bring us closer to God; washing the dirt off our 'inner man' does. The filth of our 'inner man' is only washed off by the blood of Jesus, not water, not sand, not air. When you are washed in the blood of Jesus, you are brought into the new covenant of life, and can then worship God in spirit and in truth. |
And Genesis recorded something completely different. WHich one is wrong, while the other is wrong? A God's word, indeed, doing a 180 degree, all the way. Contraction; Genesis! Please tell me what did the ghost hear from God that he said to the disciples? Book of reference, please. You are not listening to Jesus then. If you do, you could easily tell me what the Another Comforter led the disciple to, and from, what new things he taught, etc. The Another Comforter was supposed to deal only with the disciple and you are not one. Or did you live back then and stillremain alive? If this is the case, you are better than Jesus. Why are you not claiming god, too? Revelation 1 1The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. 4John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; 5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 7Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. 8I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. 9I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. 10I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, 11Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. Read the rest of revelation. The book of Revelation is a great example of new revelation by the spirit of God after Jesus' exit from earth. John 1:1-4 (King James Version) 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men. Another example of revelation by the Holy Spirit. |
It does not make me my father, either. Everyone knows who the father is, and who the pretender is. You know who your husband is. He is the father of your children. The man you ran to prepare his food, the other day. Everyone knows who the pretender is; Almuhandis, in somewhere in Nigeria, while your Oko and you are in England. My father is the husband of my mother, just like your husband is the father of your children. And we know that if your children were to say that they are children of pretender Almuhamdis, we will agree that the children are liars. Now tel me how Jesus is the son of Yahweh, again? I hear you. Mom already sign in on being the wife of the heavenly father, I bet since you are a daughter of the heavenly father, and the daughter of the earthly mother. This story is very similar to the sons of God sees the daughter of men and got them all pregnant. Lol. A thinking person who ask who is speaking here? That person will know that for sure it is not God that is speaking, hence it is not the word of God, no how no way Jose. From the bold, "heard, God is true, He whom God has "sent". . . proclaiming God's message will know that God is different from he whom God has sent. Incidentally, God sent many, including Adam without a father or mother, Noah, and many others including Moses, and indeed Muhammad (AS), who at least sent to Arabs, and tribes and ethnic persuasions of his followers/companions (RA). There is a saying in America since there are many bastards, we say Papa maybe. So this is the case here, above. Mom is not the wife, the son is a naughty person and has no "INHERITANCE".You, Sweetnecta, cannot be in two places at once because of you are not all spirit. God is Spirit and can manifest himself in uncountable ways. He manifests himself in the three most important ways; as Jesus the son, our saviour and redeemer; The holy Spirit, our comforter, counsellor etc; and as our father, the creator of all mankind in whom everything is complete. You agree that God created Adam without a father and a mother, yet when we tell you he made Jesus without the contribution of an earthly father, you just can't fathom the possibility of that happening. If he had created Jesu just like he did Adam , you would have said he came from Mars. Thank God Mohammed confesses the superiority of Mary over all other women. And declare Crusade all over again, saying their God is inferior to the god that sent his son to die for the sin of some who shall end up, even after that in Lake of Fire!Peace . . . . . Crusades . . . . . suicide bombings . . . . . . honor killings . . . . . oppression . . . . . . stonings . . . . they go together, don't they?! Did I hear someone say anything about a 'religion of peace'? How superior is a God who cannot fight for himself but relies on his 'conservative servants' to terrorize all 'infidels'? Is there a word for Mafia in Arabic? |
May God not make it happen to any woman. Amin. A scenario, based on the bold; A mad man despoiled a woman. She almost lost her life. She survived. This was her first sexual experience. The community learned about it. Seyi, are you saying that the woman should carry the baby to full pregnancy, because it is Godly? Your religion does enslave and gives no room to common sense. O ga fun eyin Kiriyo, shaa. No wonder that your men always absorb you and take away your maiden names. When the Holy Spirit lives in you, he tells you to go the 'Godly way' not the 'convenient way'. Killing a child is ungodly; Killing a child to protect your shame or to stop people from laughing at you is even ungodly and unthinkable. The favour of God is better than the favour of men. Obey God and let him take care of the consequences of you following his word. But it does not say her son (AS), is the greatest of all men! If you have it from the Quran or even from the mouth of Jesus in the Bible, please present it. The children of Israel are infinitesimal among the varied races and hues among mankind. Muhammad (AS) happens tobe the greatest of all creations. And when you want me proof it; The another comforter is in your Bible, and plenty of materials about Muhammad (AS) are in the Quran. Zechariah 8:23 (King James Version) 23Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you. The number of Jews might be infinitesimal but God is with them. Mohammed is not the 'another comforter' that you falsely claim. Mohammed did not reveal anything to any of Jesus's disciples or remind them of anything that Jesus taught. Mohammed has not revealed anything to me or comforted me or counselled me, instead, Mohammed's followers go about looking for the death of Jesus' followers whom they presume to be 'infidels'. The Holy Spirit revealed things to disciples (Read the New testament) and continues to reveal to Christians today. How many sick did Mohammed heal? How many dead did he raise? Any examples of when he created plenty out of very little? Turned water into wine? Did God raise him from the dead? How many miracles have been done in the name of Mohammed? Please quote examples from the Quran please (No Hadiths please since you argue that some Hadiths may be untrue). |
More on the '3 days 3 nights' . . . . . . . 'IN THREE DAYS' Matthew 26:59-61 (King James Version) 59Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death; 60But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses, 61And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days. Matthew 27:39-41 (King James Version) 39And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads, 40And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross. 41Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, John 2:19-21 (King James Version) 19Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 20Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21But he spake of the temple of his body. Matthew 27:62-64 (King James Version) 62Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, 63Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. 64Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. Even the false accusers knew that Jesus spoke of the 'third day' and that the third day was the significant day. They made the tomb secure so that the disciples could not come and take the body. The women who took the spices talked about the stone at the mouth of the tomb being too large for them to roll away. 'ON THE THIRD DAY' Matthew 20:19 (King James Version) 19And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again. Matthew 16:21 (King James Version) 21From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. 1 Corinthians 15:4 (King James Version) 4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Luke 9:22 (King James Version) 22Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day. |
Everbody who dies can be said to have gone down to the 'grave', regardless of whether they are cremated, buried in the ground, placed in a tomb. Quit showcasing your pretend ignorance; it is not attractive at all! DEATH Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. Hosea 13:14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes. Luke 20:34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: 35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: 36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 6:48 I am that bread of life. 49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. John 8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? Romans 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 1 Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 2 Timothy 1:8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: 11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Revelation 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast [Phillips: Then death and the grave were themselves hurled] into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. The first death (physical death) is still in operation. Accepting Jesus now means you will not die 'eternal death' which is the second death. Everybody will die the first death (except the faithful who are alive at the second coming of Christ). Physical death will no longer apply in the new kingdom.
