Celebrities / Re: Photos Of Linda Ikeji's Mansion In Banana Island by shango(m): 11:03pm On Oct 16, 2015
Part of the reason Nigeria and our people are in the state we are in is because a lot of us lack common sense. Anyone who thinks Linda Ikeji makes enough on a blog website to purchase a half a billion naira house or live the lifestyle she has portrayed publicly in the last five years is a mumu. A complete mums.

If you simply calculate how much companies pay for sponsored stories and ads on any website from CNN.com to MSNBC.com or any major website that is visited by millions worldwide and anyone would agree have more visitors than her blog (unless you are stupid enough to believe CNN.com gets less visitors daily than linda ikeji's blog) even those major worldwide websites do not make millions on their ADs and sponsored stories and they hire thousands of people. Yet she is buying million dollar houses on a blog that is run by herself.

You realize this is the first multimillionaire in the entire world that reached that level without hiring anyone (up until a year ago)?

Common sense isn't common my people

Listen bro, I am going to give you real advice rather than the fake it till you make it crap you hear all the time or just pretend like you are confident.

Being good with women is like learning any other skill in life. Take basketball for example. Michael Jordan learnt to become a master basketball player by practicing the basics over and over again till it became natural. That is how you get confidence. You cannot go on a basketball court with Michael Jordan and fake like you can dribble and shoot and dunk, you will just look like a mumu

You want to be good with women. First learn to talk to them. You do this by talking to 10 a day. Just like Jordan first learnt to shoot by shooting the ball in the basket 1000 times a day. He didn't like it. It wasn't fun. But he knew that is how you get good. Do not do it to get the woman you are talking to. Just like Jordan did not shoot 1000 times a day to make the basket every single time. Do it so you can become confident in shooting. Do that for all the steps of becoming good with women. And find someone who is good with women and learn from them and practice each step over and over again

OP

what you are asking is something deep down you know the answer to and you really don't want to hear it from your man. In your heart of hearts you know how. If any man hasn't told you in plain English that he is done gallivanting around and is ready to make you his wife then he is still sampling and expect him to continue sampling.

Lets be real

Politics / Re: Nigeria's Economy Under Threat As Oil Falls Below $50 A Barrel by shango(m): 7:56pm On Nov 22, 2008
Social interactions, national diplomacy and rules of engagement in warfare are regulated but free marketers think economies should not be? Wouldnt it be nice if we lived in a world where there where no property ownership rights or laws and a group of people with bigger guns could run up to your house, rape your family, shoot and kill you and take over your land and property. There is a reason why we have regulations in all apspects of human existance and economies and trade is not some holy grail or special aspect of human interaction that does not require regulation.
Politics / Re: Nigeria's Economy Under Threat As Oil Falls Below $50 A Barrel by shango(m): 7:52pm On Nov 22, 2008
so instead of countering my arguments you respond with an ad hominem. Nice work. How about responding to what I said. Oh wait, what I said is completely true and you have no answer for it. I am not surprised. The world economy as it stands today has proven your free market capitalism theories null and void. And I have always believed in regulated capitalism even before Obama was a senator or candidate for president or I even knew who he was. Tt has nothing to do with him. Read my previous posts years ago in these same fora.
Politics / Re: Nigeria's Economy Under Threat As Oil Falls Below $50 A Barrel by shango(m): 7:00pm On Nov 22, 2008
Obama believes in regulated Capitalism. If DeepZone believes true capitalism is unregulated then all i said above applies. If not then sorry but perhaps i misunderstood what he meant.

How the European nations now practice capitalism i.e. more socialist leaning is the way to go. Unregulated markets and unrestricted capitalism just doesnt work and the world has been shown a mega lesson in that failure with the global recession all of humanity is witnessing.
Politics / Re: Nigeria's Economy Under Threat As Oil Falls Below $50 A Barrel by shango(m): 6:50pm On Nov 22, 2008
DeepZone is a joker. Tricklle down economics has been proven to FAIL as witnessed by a world wide economic recession

You free market believers are disgusting. Even when hard cold reality shows your theories to be false you cling on to them like nothing else matters.

The Financial markets where the most unregulated markets of the last fifty years. Mortgage backed securities where sold and bought and prepackaged with zero regulation. The financial market of the last 15 years was a free marketers wet dream. And what happened after the unregulated market peaked and the participants made billions? THE GLOBAL ECONOMY WENT INTO FREEFALL. And during this freefall are you seeing money trickle down to you? Are you seeing inflation skyrocket and the common mans salary stay stagnant and its dollar value worth less and less while price of services and commodities skyrocket?

Can you honestly still say with a straight face free market and trickle down economics WORKS? Anyone who still says that after all that has happened is on crack.

People that steal money and spend it on awarded contracts just pass their money on to other rich people. PLEASE let us not pretent that billions stolen or acquired in the free market or in government corruption finds its way down, if that was the case Nigeria would be the place to make a living as its government officials are masters of money hoarding.

Bush won the war on terror, cut taxes for all americans, has kept us safe for the last 8 years and oversaw the greatest, most diverse and free market economy the United States has ever seen. He will surely be missed and I hope Osama can live up to even 10% of what Bush brought to the table. I wish the US was Nigeria sometimes so he could throw a coup and become dictator in chief, man that would be so,

This isnt news, what would be news is Nigerians standing up and doing something about it. Till then this is just repetition of well established facts

You obviously know nothing about the prison system in the USA. NOTHING.

And gas prices arent lowered by America's say so, its a little more complicated than that honey.

the USA will always be racist so no point in sending UN envoys on the issue. Its like throwing a bucket of water in the center of an active volcano.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Boycott South Africa! Boycott Dstv, Mtn Etc! See What They Did To Your Brothers! by shango(m): 5:50pm On May 24, 2008
people are people are people

the british whites killed by the millions Irish whites, enslaved them and raped and pillaged them before they started on Black Africans. Every group of people or race or tribe or whatever have killed other tribes and similar tribes, the Native Indians did it, whites did it among ourselves so why would black Africans be any different?

All killing of any human being should be condemned. It is wrong. Shame on anyone that condones killing of any sort or dares say that this is a uniquely African problem. If anything those of European descent's anscestors are responsible for THE MOST death than any other race/group of people. They have killed more people among themselves and other races of people than all other groups combined. So no one should dare say that mass killing or tribal killing is a wholly African problem because it is a HUMAN problem.

The next time a white person says this we need only mention a few of hundreds of examples of genocide killing like the 6 million + Jews or the British killing the Spaniards or Europeans landing on the shores of the USA and decimating the Native Indians.

Politics / Re: US. Most Armed Country 90 Guns Per 100 People, Nigeria 1 Gun Per 100 People by shango(m): 5:42am On Sep 06, 2007
Afam is 100% correct

And prayer did not help the people of Rawanda or the millions of slaves that died at the hands of Christain English Colonialists. If everyone is required to own and operate a gun violence would dissapear. Ofcourse to do this you need a good government which Naija has never had to implement it but the effect of such an implementation I think is undisputable.

Politics / Re: US. Most Armed Country 90 Guns Per 100 People, Nigeria 1 Gun Per 100 People by shango(m): 3:56pm On Aug 31, 2007
you either ban guns completely or everyone should own guns. Inbetween just doesnt work because a few people having guns and the majority not having always creates oppression and genocide. If the people of Darfur had guns and knew how to use them you think they would have been slaughtered by the hundreds or thousands? Or in Rawanda? If everyone had guns in Lagos you think armed robbery would be a problem anymore? If my dad did not own a double barallel shotgun back in Naija we could have been robbed and/or killed like 8 of our neighbors, one whose wife was raped.

Plus everyone owning guns ensures a government doesnt lord over its people and makes them accountable. The cities with the most gun violence in the USA are cities like DC and Baltimore with sever gun control. In the South with lax gun control, gun violence is much less. The problem of gun violence in USA is not the guns themselves, its because people can get them illegally and most of the populace do not have or cannot acquire them. If a gun holder looking for mischief knew that he could be blasted if he tried to rob or rape or kill someone he would think 5 times or more before going through with it.

Everyone owning guns reduces the power guns have over people.
Politics / Re: Texas Executes 400th Inmate, Do You Support Death Sentence? by shango(m): 3:27pm On Aug 31, 2007
funny how Christians advocate Death Penalty when the New Testament says God will be the final judge.

The hypocrisy of Christians gets me everytime, Jesus, the person we Christians are supposed to emulate, forgave robbers and thieves and killers but we think we should be executing them?

The hypocrisy kills me.
Politics / Re: Independence Was A Mistake? by shango(m): 2:46pm On Aug 31, 2007
the people determine what kind of government they get.

If the majority thought that their government wasn't serving them, they would do like the Americans did and fight for revolution. Isn't it funny that the greatest nation on the planet right now was also a former colony of the same British empire? Aint that some shit, they fought for independence also and laid down their lives for it. We on the other hand are not ready or willing to do the same to ensure a better future so till then, you are essentially saying you want the government you have.

lets put this killer back on the streets and reward him with an EFCC director position.

Because he had a knife to his neck when he was doing Abacha's bidding.

After that let us depose Yar'Adua and reinstate IBB as presidedent, and put Atiku back as vice president. Because they have suffered enough being out of power for so long.

I agree completely
Politics / Re: Texas Executes 400th Inmate, Do You Support Death Sentence? by shango(m): 5:55am On Aug 28, 2007
death penalty is ok as long as you are the one not being wrongly condemned. I bet if you where wrongly condemned you would still support the death penalty

and I bet most of the people that support the war on terror especially those of Naija descent would do a 180 if they instituted a draft and called your ass to the front lines

Cruelty is always ok as long as it is not happening to them and is happening to others. Once it is on you people like Mamajama start singing a different tune.

if people support the war on terror then PLEASE JOIN THE SOLDIERS IN IRAQ, THE SURGE CAN BE MORE EFEFCTIVE WITH MORE TROOPS, the more people the higher chance of "victory" so please join up.
Politics / Re: Northern Ambassador Tells Host Country That Nigerian Criminals Are Southerners by shango(m): 3:01am On Aug 28, 2007
every Nigerian should visit the North sometime. I bet close to 100% of Indigenous Nigerian Southerners have never made it past Jos. You will get a clearer picture of why Nigeria will continue to fail in its current state.
Politics / Re: Oil In Nigeria Belongs To The North by shango(m): 4:17pm On Aug 27, 2007
considering that we got another Northern president due to zoning even though over 90% of our past leaders have been Northerners is testament to Nigerians complacency in improving their situation and the power Northern Nigeria has.

You guys should visit there and see the castles Northern Politicians build amidst the barriness that is the north. Those guys are emulating the Saudis in their disdain for regular folk and their thought that Allah gave them the wealth they spend.

Nigeria's Oil might as well belong to the north. The few people actually doing something about it (Delta militants) are chastized by regular Nigerians as causing instability and so on while these same regular folks stand and watch as the next president is APPOINTED and there vote is tossed in the trash.

And so the cycle continues,

cgift I truly respect how you responded to my points without resulting to tactics that most other religious zealots resort to. You got my respect. I see where you are coming from though I disagree as I see religion as a detriment to society as a whole. Organized religion from Judaism to Christianity to Islam has brought nothing but misery all through history and serves to disunite people rather than unite. But that is just my take.
Politics / Re: Naira To Be Re-Denominated by shango(m): 5:24pm On Aug 22, 2007

Politics / Re: Fresh Gun Battle In Port Harcourt by shango(m): 4:48pm On Aug 22, 2007
when the people of the Delta aren't living like Paupers maybe these things won't happen.

But you can send military and police to fix a problem that stems from poverty and exploitation. It will never solve the problem like putting a band-aid on a sore caused by AIDS.
Religion / Re: Biblical Contradictions: What should we believe by shango(m): 4:37pm On Aug 22, 2007
would any of us be Christian if we were not colonized?

Now we are just being naive. Europeans brought Christianity to our shores and into the continent. The same reason you are Christian is the same reason we are speaking English right now. No one put a gun to my head to speak or learn English but that is the reality due to a history of colonization.

Do you because you were born into something remain in it when you have all facts pointing in the opposite direction?

What facts? That the religion the people that subjugated you brought and told you was not barbaric and is enlightened is superior to your native religion? That is fact. Wow. Why not change your name to John and drop your last name and call yourself and European then.

But i guess we have free choice and if you choose to believe that your indigenous religion and culture is looking in the opposite direction then well, that is your decision.
Religion / Re: Biblical Contradictions: What should we believe by shango(m): 3:45pm On Aug 22, 2007
its funny how people that this religion was forced on advocate it even more than the people that forced it on them. Same thing with classism and tribalism.

Whites forced Christianity from the south, Arabs forced it on the North, and now we have people that have lost their native religions and propel middle easter religions like it was their own. The Old Testament justifies slavery and says a child should be stoned for disobeying their father. The Old Testament has some barbaric laws that put some of the Qu'ran to shame. I think the New Testament is a great set of books and its message is revolutionary, but most fundamental Christians like to propel what the old testament says but do so selectively; they say God looks down against homosexuality but in the old testament it also says it is perfectly ok to own slaves. Or to stone people to death for certain "crimes" that do not even constitute murder. If we stuck to those old beliefs they would be still carting your black asses back to the New World to work for free in cotton and tobacco fields.

But I guess this will continue to be our religion till the next religious invasion occurs and brainwashes us to a new one. Maybe islam will be next. Or Hinduism or Mormonism.
