Hey 🀠

Have it in mind that even if your parents are able to receive their 5-years tourist visas, they are only allowed to stay in the United States for a maximum of six months at a time.

WHAT YOU WILL PROVIDE TO YOUR PARENTS
==============

1. Strong emotional , and reasonable Invitation Letter .

2. The letter should have the names of your parents and their relationship with you.

3. The letter should state the Purpose of their visit like tourism, graduation ceremony, wedding , etc.

4. The letter should include dates of their stay with the approximate length of visit.

5. Attach Scanned copy of your Identity card or Passport.

6. Attach your evidence of means of financial subsistence.

7. Attach your Proof of homeownership or rental contracts.

8. Attach an itinerary of the planned visit (optional).

9. Attach documentation of your time off from work for their visit.

PS:. YOU CAN DHL THE ABOVE in order to look authentic and original . Use your handwriting in the letter and date sign (optional).

Best Wishes πŸ™
Thank you so much, I appreciate you. Is it necessary for them to show bank statement if I will be responsible for all expenses.

Hi everyone,
As a US citizen, what supporting documents are required for me to invite my aged parents to the United States from Nigeria? Both are retired but Mum has a business.
Please, advise me.

Thank you for your advice. What are some of the challenges I might experience?

Let me advice you based on my experience so far, if you switch, be ready to face the challenges that comes with it. It's is not easy, switch and complete your studies since it is related to the job offer...you will need it sooner or later.
Dont quit school because of the offer available to you right now please, switch and face the consequence squarely...last last...you will be happy you did.
In addition, struggling to meet deadline with assignments...you will definitely miss some classes , attendance and all. It's just basically the challenges that comes with balancing school and work....if you are working night shift , you are a bit safe but if it is day shift , there are two things involved......πŸ˜‚

Please can you highlight some of the challenges or consequences.

It's hard to balance school and work regardless of the shift ( nights or day).
You can't be in two places at the same time so you will sometimes have to leave class for work.
It may affect your results or score
You will look stressed almost all the time.
These are some I can remember for now..

House, I need some advice. I am currently in Scotland on a Student Visa doing a Masters (to be completed in January 2024) in an IT-related course. I have received a job offer (with sponsorship) for a tech role. I am married with 2 children. Does it make sense to switch to a Skilled Worker Visa now? I still want to complete my Masters.

I'm sure nothing will be wrong with using them for the joint account as well.
It will help you manage everything from one place.

I use Lloyds bank for everything and they've been great so far.
My husband and I created a joint account for the rent and other bills.

If you open their Club Lloyd's joint account, you can get Disney+ channel yearly subscription as a bonus.
Oh...nice one...i will check

You truly know, you don't want to.......😭

Either have an account for household bills or individual pays their allocated portion of bills...........

What works for one, might not work for the other........... When you have a joint account and Amazon is dropping 2 deliveries everyday........ You would start getting moist all over........... πŸ€£πŸ€‘πŸ˜‚

Thank you sir

Natwest is great. All you do is one person opens an account and then invites the other to join.

They'll send you both cards and you'll both have the account visible and operable from within your Natwest app.

The bank and app themselves are great as well. App will even show you your credit score, and their customer service is responsive as well.

10/10 would recommend.
Thank you so much sir, we are using Natwest already...its a great bank. I just feel we should have another one for the joint account

Are you REALLY sure, you want a joint account........... πŸ€£πŸ˜œπŸ€‘

All banks are ALMOST the same....... Just pick a colour and go with that bank....... πŸ˜‚
Lol, I am smiling right now because...to be sincere, I am not sure sir.
But it's basically for savings for things that are beneficial to both parties.

Hello everyone, my dependent moved to the Uk 2 months ago. Still, it has been challenging to get a document to prove their address...lost two jobs already and couldn't open a bank account. Even when I wanted to add her name to the tenancy agreement, they said they needed a three months pay lip.
They also rejected the Electoral letter confirming the address.......please, what can we do?

Estroller:

This will vary form home to home.
Partner A can take rent/mortgage while partner B takes other bills and other sundry expenses.

You can open a joint account, divide your total outgoings into two or whatever proportion you decide based on your incomes, and each party transfers their share into the account from where you now pay your bills.

One party might be solely responsible for all the outgoings while the income of the other partner goes into savings and investments for the family.

Different strokes for different folks.
Thank you so much for your detailed input...i love your example ..

First and foremost......

Write a list of all the bills + mortgage/rent......

You can decide to go on wage percentage terms or simply pick and choose........

One person no dey pay bills for the UK, person go just die (whilst the other person is just buying bags and sending unallocated fund's to families abroad)......πŸ˜‚πŸ€ͺ🀣
This is exactly the point sir ....thank you so much for your input, I appreciate

Hello,

One of the requirements of your Skilled Worker visa is that you have to be earning a minimum amount of money yearly (between Β£20,480 to Β£25,600 or 70-90% of these amounts if you meet the criteria). Not earning up to that amount of money is in breach of your visa conditions which COULD be a stumbling block when you're applying for ILR after 5 years.

I would advise that you work for the minimum number of hours that will enable you to earn up to that amount.

Check these links for more info:

Hello Everyone
I recently got my visa switch approved. I opted for priority service and got my decision mail the day after - Nov 8. Up until now ( About 24 working days) I’m still yet to get my brp. I’ve reported on the gov.uk a couple of times and the responses seem like a template - brp delivery team says it’s not a delivery issue and that a case worker will reach out to me meanwhile no further communication, no one has reached out to me. Same thing when I call their office.

Any advice on what to do?

Please, I really need to talk about this with you, I sent a mail already.

Can someone who is presently on a student visa, (started in September 2022) switch to a 5 year care job tier 2 visa?
Got an opportunity to secure COS however a colleague said one has to wait after 6 months in the UK before switching. That the visa application may likely not granted, is this correct?

Please , check your mail

Hello guys,

My dependent went for biometrics on October 25, but when we track the application, it's still showing "Application received by DMC". it's been up to a month now.

Sent paid email two days ago, and the rep said they can't find the reference number. I sent them the GWF number.

Please advise on what to do.

Thanks
Is there no priority service for dependants?

Hello

Switching can be done at anytime but the guidance documents specifies 6months to the end of programme

2. Yes, student status letter showing you only have the stipulated time left, some will include a statement of when your award will be issued and that you have no pending exams to resit

3. Yes,but you most likely might need to study part time. I will advise you make the switch first otherwise with part time study visa you can't work.

It also depends on what stage you are in your study and how supportive your course director/Uni is

Cheers
Thank you so much for the response ,I actually got a job ready to sponsor me, my program will end next year September ...does it mean I can't apply now ?
Do I need to wait ?
