Me: In my mind I don catch you. I gave her shipments documents worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
VO: have you travelled before ?
Me: In my mind I don catch you again. I said yes and start to name. Switzerland, Germany , UK, Poland, France, Italy, Singapore, Greece, Malaysia, Dubai including African countries. And I told her what I went to do in each country.
VO: paused and look at me for 2 seconds then ask. Why where you in Malaysia again?
Me : To do.......
VO: Took my statement of account and scrutinized it. Went through my visas thoroughly in all my four passports then type for 1 minute.
VO: Are you married?
Me: No but looking for now.
VO: little smile
He gave me white paper and told me to pick my passport up.

Hello People.

I got help from this channel during my process. Hopefully someone gets help from this post too.

My Green Card petition got approved today.

Here is a summary if my timeline.

-K1 visa got approved in Lagos mid June this year

-got into US mid July

-filed for Adjustment of Status late August

-Biometrics late September

-Interview Scheduled mid November

-EAD got approved last Friday (yet to receive it)


-GC nterview held today (approved )

Interview Details:

-was scheduled for 12 noon

-we got there 11:2am

-went through security

-Got called in at 12:09

-CO separated and interviewed us individually.

-Grilled my woman for 15mins.
- Took her out, called me in and grilled me for 15mins.



Here are some of the Questions:

After oath,

-He first went through the i-485 form with me to verify if anything has changed after filing, He asked me same questions as contained in the form.

Asked a bunch of questions like if I am a terrorist, here to overthrow the govt, ever involved in child trafficking, ever removed from the country etc which I answered "No" to all.

Other questions in no particular order:

-How did you meet?

-who proposed?

-Describe your reactions when you arrived in the US.

-where did you guys first drive to?

-how many bathrooms are in your apartment

-what does your wife love doing?

-what meal does she love most?

-what meal do you love most?

-How much do you guys pay for rent?

-what's your wife's phone number?

-where does she work at?

-how many Tvs are at your apartment?

-what is your address here in the US.

-what are the names of her siblings?

-Names of her Parents.

These and several other questions, some of which were follow up to answers I had provided

At some point, he Said My answers corresponds with my wife's and therefore he was not going to waste too much of our time. Called my wife in and gave us detail information about what it means to be a permanent residence, said GC is valid for 2 years after which we will file for removal of conditions.
Said I can apply for citizenship after three yrs of becoming a permanent resident.

ADVICE.
You re good as far as your relationship is genuine. Panic not. Be patient, try not to get into any problems during wait period. Be sure you both have same story. Know your apartment

Get all your facts straight, above all, be real, be truthful, you just might not know what your wife was asked and what her answers were. However if you both are truthful, your answers will definitely tally.

Again, Make sure your story corresponds with your wife's. You might be interviewed separately.

Finally lIke many have said on this platform, put God first. My process went 3 times faster than I expected. It's a thing of surprise to get GC within 3.5 months of filing.

US Consulate General Lagos, Nigeria

What do you need the letter from the beneficiary's place of work for? Totally unnecessary for your k1 application.

With respect to this WhatsApp call log details, is there anyway it can show the phone numbers of the person you called, cuz normally it only shows the name of the person you called .

You should delete the persons contact on your phone.

If you do that, only the phone number will show on the call logs and text messages.

This story is a bit long but pls bear with me.

I met this man almost 2yrs ago at an event a friend invited me to. The next week, he collected my number from my friend and called me, we began talking from there and agreed to go on a date. He proposed marriage to me on the first date which I rejected. I told him that I can't marry outside my church and from the little I've heard from him, our life dreams differ. I decided to cut him off from that day and I stayed away for about 3months. Meanwhile he got my friend to introduce him to my sis, mum and another friend who happened to be from his place, I'll call her Grace.
He made them all aware of his intent towards me and my stand and asked for their help to change my mind. Grace became his biggest ally and convinced me to have another date. He asked that we date for a while and see if we can work out our differences. During the date I noticed he has a very hot and quick temper and he listens to gossip a lot so I do tell Gracethat I don't see a future with him but he was too persistent, Grace always had words of encouragement and considering the fact that for some strange reason, it was mainly married men always approach me for a relationship with stories of how they got married to a wrong woman and they are or are almost divorced, dating a single man with no kids was very tempting and I decided to give it a try.

He asked me to tell him everything about me so there are no secrets between us and I did. Starting from secondary school to that day, I told him everything, from my first kiss, the colleague who tried to rape me, my ex who lied about his marital status and disvirgined me etc. he did the same too and I felt a burden roll off my shoulder.

Few days later I began to notice changes in him especially towards my business. I thrive in a male dominated industry in a ratio of 9men to 1woman. He asked me to show him the pictures of my colleagues which I did, he also asked if they make passes at me which I said is almost inevitable but my boundaries are clear and rigid.

Fast forward to now. I noticed that whenever I drop my phone, he goes through it. Facebook, sms, WhatsApp etc. He even picks my call when I'm not close to the phone. He asked me about a certain colleague who cracks dirty jokes like how I rushed to get married (I told him I'm already married). I didn't think much about it.

He later began to complain about my partners and how I'm sleeping with them like the prostitute I am, called me an unrepentant liar, unsubmisive, manipulating etc. Said he regrets asking for my hand at all and he's just waiting forthe day he'll catch me redhanded so he can dump my sorry a*s.
I told him to end it now cus I'm fed up, family came in and I later found out that Grace has been telling a lot of lies against hoping to get him for herself as well as hate filled advises from some aggrieved friends who felt ladies from my tribe are no good and just there to "chop money". Apologies were said and received and we continued.

Another time I visited him and we had an argument, he gave me several heavy knocks on my head and I developed a headache and began to insult him which resultedin more heavy knocks. I broke up with him and left. Later my mum called him to ask why he laid his hands on me, he denied it swearing with his life. Said I insulted him and he lost his temper and insulted me back that he's sorry. He began to drop messages everywhere and I eventually gave in.

3rd incident happened on our way back from an event. He saw a message from a colleague he told me to stop doing business with cus he feels the man has his eyes on me which is totally not true. He flared up, stopped the car and was even threatening to beat me up. I came down from his car and stood by the roadside. He came down too and gave me the insult of my life in full public view and glare and told me to enter the car which I refused. I had no money on me and had to beg a stranger for money. By that time he was coming back, he quickly took a picture of both of us and sent it to everybody of how he caught me in the act with my lover on the road. He called me and said that if he must marry me, I must break my business sim card and look for a wife friendly occupation or sit at home.

He later apologised over it. Meanwhile he and my sis don't flow as before as he once called her a prostitute.

I want to call it quits but everyone around me feels it's a mistake and he is saying everything out of anger and if I'm patient enough, he will change completely.

I must admit that he has changed alot since we met but the progress compared to the timeframe and the heat I face everyday is nothing to write home about.

He loves me to a fault and I don't know if I can find someone who loves me like him but his other attitude is sniffing life out of me. Do I stay or quit?

You dont need any authentication of any sort as far K1 Visa is concerned....unless the Embassy changed the rules which I'm not aware of.

I submitted my Attestation of Birth and Affidavit of Birth to the Embassy without any form of authentication and it was accepted.

As far as i know, you don't need any authentication by any ministry for your attestation certificate. The Attestation certificate or birth certificate issued by the NPC is sufficient by itself.

Must the medicals fall within the 2 weeks of once interview? Because the available appointment dates I got when I tried to schedule a date for my medicals will be 3weeks plus 5 days to my interview.

Here are my questions
(1) has anyone gone for an interview with his/her medicals done up to 3 weeks or upto a month to his/her interview date

(2) Does it have any negative impact?

1. A 3 weeks / 1 month old medical is fine

2. No negative impact.

I agree with everything you said except for the bolded. Since abekeade1 has already filled the AOS and paid the stipulated fee ($1225), she doesn't need to pay any fee for Travel Authorisation or Work Permit.

My understanding is/was if he filed the work authorization and travel authorization with the AOS then he won't need to pay any additional fee....but since he filed the AOS already and now wants to file for the travel authorization separately. he will need to pay for the travel authorization.

So I went to check again and I think you are correct. I saw this on the USCIS website.

You do not need to pay an additional fee for Form I-131 if:

You are filing Form I-131 Application Type B or D;
You filed a Form I-485 with a fee on/after July 30, 2007; and
Your Form I-485 is still pending.

When I file for adjustment of status and green card, I didnt apply for administrative parole. Please can I still do it now and how do I go about it ? I am so confused. Hi. If you did not file for Advance Parole (Travel Authorization) when you applied for the AOS then you'll need to file now if you want to travel or wait till you get the green card.

You will have to pay the fee for the travel authorization. You can get the form from the USCUS website and submit with requested documents.

Ofcourse you can file for your son....and its better you file now if you want to travel June/July next year because it takes about 5 to 7 months to process.

I am k1 beneficiary, petition approved and NVC got me a case number at the embassy. When can I secure appointment after I got notification from NVC.

My second question is that I overstayed my b1 b2 visa for 2 weeks and got deported 9years ago. Don't know if I have better chance at this k1 visa appointment.

My fiancé filled all the necessary details, she however did not state in details the exact nature and duration of contributions she intends to make in Part 7. Additional information as stated on page 4 of the affidavit of support. She only wrote her name current full name on 1.a of page 8, and wrote her the other names she’s used before on 3.d. of same page 8 which is her family name. Please will that be a problem since she didn’t put it in writing on part 7 how long and how much she will be willing to support me. I need your opinions please so I know if she has to redo that page 8. Though she is currently away on deployment now but hopefully I can communicate with her when they dock and we can find a way to sort it out, if it will be an issue. Thanks in advance guys. I did not fill item 38 at all. I did not select 'intend' or 'do not intend'.

I simply stated the following in the additional information where i referred to item 38.

N/A (FILING I-129F FOR MY FIANCE TO BEGIN K1 VISA PROCESS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE).

So to your answer...i don't think it's problem if she did not state specific details of the support. i believe selecting 'intend' as she did is good enough.

1. Your old application is still there.....it can never be wiped out and all the info you filled will come up including your married status.

2. If you submit any counterfeit (fake) document for divorce or death they WILL 'catch' you and that's automatic life ban.

3. I don't have any other good suggestions except that you should NEVER lie on any visa application.....in this case future application.

Oh.....that's for your AOS?

If you were born in the 1980's you can get an attestation letter from the NPC.

I know you get get it by proxy. Someone can go to the NPC office in Babs Animashaun, Surulere to get it for you.

That's not the NOA2. The NOA2 is the notice of approval of the K1 petition from USCIS. This letter you posted is from NVC.

Usually you get the NOA2 before you even receive this letter. You need to have that Notice of Approval so make sure she has it and she sends a copy to you.
