Why is it that some stocks will be financially ok I mean perfectly ok but the share price is undervalue. Why are investors still staying away from such stocks

Aside past/current financial performance of companies, there are other factors that determine stock price. Those other factors can affect the public's perception as to what the ideal price should be and this will drive investor's demand for the stock. If demand for a stock is high...prices go up. If demand is low, prices go down.

Some examples of the factors, aside reported financial performance, that will affect perception and so impact demand are:

1. Liquidity of the stock
2. Expected future performance of stock
3. Public image
4. Specific industry the company operates in
5. Positive / Negative news
7. Corporate governance structure of the company

Actually.....the factors are plenty......

Do you guys think it's a good idea... The technicals looks good though.

It depends on your risk profile.

If you are afraid of losing money, your best bet from the list Berkshire Hathaway. You can add MSFT and FB....however, your returns may be minimal in the short term but they are great for long term.

If you want quick profit, you can pick RCL (I will typically not recommend zoom, their hype is gone for now).....but you can lose your money fast.

I am usually a very conservative investor, I focus on the fundamentals and my philosophy is generally buy the company rather than the market.

However, i wanted to try my hands on speculating so i just spent $700 to make two purchases.

1. DAL @ $36.10
2. MTDR @ $12

Waiting to see what will come out of it in the next couple of months.

$30,000 is too small especially if you have zero investments aside the 30k. You should budget $150k after you have built a home in the state you want to stay.

800k in Nigeria is very good.Im presently in the US which is not too different from Canada. Unless you are in the healthcare or planning to start a carrier in healthcare, you will do better staying in Nigeria. That your 800k is only a month rent here o. Besides all those certificate of yours are going to be useless here as you cannot get a job until you do their professional exams here. You are going to begin from the scratch. Don't take advise from those people on this forum that have not travelleved to or lived in these countries. Many guys are now coming back home to invest their money. Theres a lot of opportunity in Nigeria if you have small money to do business. If I were you I will stay in Nigeria and invest. You will be better off. Visit these countries regularly, have your kids delivered in them(Canada or USA). But if you are a Doctor or a nurse or planning to be one, and ready to study and pass their board exams, then by all means go.

Except you are an illegal immigrant. If you are in the US legally you will most likely be economically better than earning 800k in Nigeria.

I've noticed on similar threads seeking migration advice to Canada that almost everyone advises leave the country and I'm like "is it so good in Canada?

The only reason I want to travel to Canada or any other high profile country is to make far more money than I make in Nigeria.

Now, by the Grace of God I earn over 800k monthly with promising potentials for more. I'm 32yrs and planning to settle down next year, but with so many advises saying "leaving the country to Canada is the best choice", I'm so confused right now as per what's the best choice for me. I even watched a video where a guy living in canada said he spent upto 400k monthly on expenses.

So, I want to ask and need advise from anyone living in Canada. Would you advise someone earning 800k monthly in Nigeria to leave for Canada?

Do you already have an immigrant visa to Canada? If you don't, then you don't need any advice as you don't have the option yet.

When you apply, go through the process, deemed qualified and given an immigrant visa then you can ask this question again.

For now, you don't have the option of choosing between Nigeria and Canada........and you won't have the option until you go through the process and apply.

Nigeria is not a country.

My question is do u still have a valid B1/B2 visa?
If yes, was it cancelled after your interview to grant this K1 visa type?

This question is not for me but I can give some insight.

When I went for my K1 interview and got my K1 visa, I still had a valid B1/B2 visa. No one said anything about the B1/B2 being cancelled, it was just there on the passport without any indication of it being cancelled.

However, the normal practice is that the B1/B2 will be cancelled on their system and the only way to know is to attempt to travel with it.......which would not really make sense.

There is no evidence that the K1 visa is affected by the ban. People are still being issued the K1 visa so you can apply. There's a K1 visa thread....hopefully youl get some help there

You don't pay any additional amount for the EAD. The $1225 for the AOS is all you need to pay. The EAD and AP is free when you file all 3 together.

Just file your Form I-485 (Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status), Form I-765 (Application for Employment Authorization) and Form I-131 (Application for Travel Document) together.
