ufotty2001:Aside past/current financial performance of companies, there are other factors that determine stock price. Those other factors can affect the public's perception as to what the ideal price should be and this will drive investor's demand for the stock. If demand for a stock is high...prices go up. If demand is low, prices go down. Some examples of the factors, aside reported financial performance, that will affect perception and so impact demand are: 1. Liquidity of the stock 2. Expected future performance of stock 3. Public image 4. Specific industry the company operates in 5. Positive / Negative news 7. Corporate governance structure of the company Actually.....the factors are plenty...... |
wamiikechukwu:It depends on your risk profile. If you are afraid of losing money, your best bet from the list Berkshire Hathaway. You can add MSFT and FB....however, your returns may be minimal in the short term but they are great for long term. If you want quick profit, you can pick RCL (I will typically not recommend zoom, their hype is gone for now).....but you can lose your money fast. |
Drenimarcus:This is a link to a bloomberg article on Nikola Corporation (NKLA) https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-06-08/nikola-rallies-71-to-record-ahead-of-zero-emission-truck-launch |
sharpman1:Scratch that. NKLA closed $35.88 on Friday and closed $73.27 today. That's about 103.7% increase. Meanwhile, there seems to be little information about this company. |
Drenimarcus:Balogun of Minnesota. I hail o. |
I am usually a very conservative investor, I focus on the fundamentals and my philosophy is generally buy the company rather than the market. However, i wanted to try my hands on speculating so i just spent $700 to make two purchases. 1. DAL @ $36.10 2. MTDR @ $12 Waiting to see what will come out of it in the next couple of months. |
bigmodo:If you plan to give birth naturally, taking chances on the genotype of your future kids, then you are mad and wicked. If you plan to avoid natural conception and give birth through IVF, hence able to determine the genotype of your kids before fertilization, then your decision is okay. However, i hope you have enough money for assisted conception. Love of my live ko, hate of my life ni. Stupid boy!!! |
wisdomiskey:$30,000 is too small especially if you have zero investments aside the 30k. You should budget $150k after you have built a home in the state you want to stay. |
oludaniels777:This is absolute nonsense!!! Except you are an illegal immigrant. If you are in the US legally you will most likely be economically better than earning 800k in Nigeria. Even if you do DoorDash, you can save half of that 800k after all living expenses every month. |
Scaredd:Do you already have an immigrant visa to Canada? If you don't, then you don't need any advice as you don't have the option yet. When you apply, go through the process, deemed qualified and given an immigrant visa then you can ask this question again. For now, you don't have the option of choosing between Nigeria and Canada........and you won't have the option until you go through the process and apply. |
Nigeria is not a country. |
dicsnemma:Most of their offices are not open to public at this moment so you may have to wait. Which city are you in? |
paosca20:Lol. You miss Naija? Which city are you in? |
sandraigho:This question is not for me but I can give some insight. When I went for my K1 interview and got my K1 visa, I still had a valid B1/B2 visa. No one said anything about the B1/B2 being cancelled, it was just there on the passport without any indication of it being cancelled. However, the normal practice is that the B1/B2 will be cancelled on their system and the only way to know is to attempt to travel with it.......which would not really make sense. |
There is no evidence that the K1 visa is affected by the ban. People are still being issued the K1 visa so you can apply. There's a K1 visa thread....hopefully youl get some help there |
Sukey:Your SS card likely says: 'valid for work only with DHS authorization' That's the restriction. |
Drenimarcus:Lol. The guy is lonely. Looking for attention. |
Drenimarcus:True. That fake American that overstayed his visa is actually jobless. Persin wey get work can't have the time to be a nuisance all over Nairaland. |
justwise:Exactly. My only regret is not leaving earlier. This is not a country |
sandraigho:Lol. Fake American. |
disguy1:Submit a photocopy. |

Just file your Form I-485 (Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status), Form I-765 (Application for Employment Authorization) and Form I-131 (Application for Travel Document) together. |
SmartKitty1:Lol. Can you spell dementia without quoting someone else? Olodo! Attention seeking fake American. |
SmartKitty1:Lol. See this fake American. Naija boy that overstayed his visa. Posting fake evidence. Looking for who will talk to him in a faceless forum.... |
SmartKitty1:Lol. You this attention seeking, mannerless, unknown entity that is always looking for publicity and can't even write properly while claiming to be American. The ideal thing is to ignore you but you need to be told the truth. |
SmartKitty1:Lol. So this is your proof that you are an American? Ode!! |
Paccus:Lol. I was not tired of Naija. I had a ceremony to attend same week. |
dicsnemma:Lol. Oya start to dey pack. I left 1 day after i got my passport back........bought the ticket same day. |
