Of course. His customers are owing.... So naturally, he would owe people too. That's normal in business and that does not mean he should not call out those that put him in that condition. |

LegitBachelor: Guys, I'm now in the States
I entered the States (Dallas Fort Worth) with a one way flight. Was anticipating having issues with the airlines and was ready for them. Was ready to lecture them on what K1 Visa means, lol. But I didn't have any issues at all.
I made sure my medical envelope was in my backpack. When we arrived, I was directed straight to the CBP guys who took the envelope and tore it right in my very eyes. I was directed to a room to wait. I met like 5 guys there. After a while, it was my turn and they gave me back my passport along with a yellow form (I think it's for agric quarantine) and took me straight to the luggage section where I'm to claim my luggage. Was told to go straight to the agric section once I get my luggage.
Luckily my luggage was not searched. Was only asked if I came with fresh seeds which I said no. I only had processed food which have been partly cooked and/or grounded. So they just passed my luggage through an X-ray machine and let me go.
And that was it! My finacee was waiting for me on the other end. It was so emotional for me.
Thanks guys for the active participation. I promise to still keep in touch. This visa journey is a continuous one. Will always keep you all updated. I enjoin us to do the same too.
Regards. Yay. Congratulations. May God grant you great favor and success as you begin this new journey.... |

otipoju: You could not have said it better. I once trying to prove the existence of God to my white housemates by saying he answered my prayers when i fasted for a visa.
Na that day i know say US passport does not need visa to enter many countries....she said it might just be probability.
I think it is a universal trait and at the core of the issue is comfort...hardship makes people run to God for help. There are many church attendees but not many disciples.
Even in the bible its recorded that when Israel ate and were satisfied..they forgot God. Hosea 13 verse 6. True. A typical Nigerian is religious because he/she wants to get blessed and protected. A religious American (for instance), is religious because he/she seeks knowledge or 'just because'. |
Travel › Re: Why Do People Become Less Religious When They Travel Abroad? by sharpman1(m): 11:12pm On Mar 18, 2019*. Modified: 11:35pm On Mar 18, 2019 |
The reasons are as follows:
1. A lot of Nigerians are religious because of the material benefit they hope to get as a result.
2. In Nigeria, these benefits are difficult to obtain so they seem to need additional spiritual power to obtain these benefits. E.g. One needs to pray before they get a job, buy a car, pass an exam, get married, etc.
3. It is believed that some negative supernatural forces will attempt to stop you from achieving these objectives.
4. Once they travel, they find out that some of these benefits can be easily gotten with a little dedication and hard work.
5. Since the only motivation to them for being religious is the material benefits.....their TRUE color shows and we then see their real face. |

nextlevel2222: Thanks everyone for your wishes... It's is being God that made it possible... It was tough.... The interview was not awesome, I failed it because I was not feeling fine at a that particular time, my brain was not sharp....
The question goes thus:
Where did you meet your fiance? I told her we met when he came to Nigeria 2015
She asked again where exactly? I told her
She said so after meeting you, you people go on your way.. And I told her we exchanged contact we started talking..
She asked what did we do together? I told her I dnt understand, she said did we go out on date, I said YES..
She said what kind of date? I told her cinema
What kind of movies did we watch? I said I can't remember
She asked again when he came on October 2017, what did we do together? I mistakenly told her we did introduction in which introduction took place in December.. She looked at me with doubtful mind... Immediately I realized she was asking me if we go out on date? I quickly change my answer and I told her we didn't go on date, he came to my house to visit my parents.
I showed her the picture of my parents and I with my fiancee....
She asked why my fiancee is not around for the introduction I told her he was bidding for contract from United Nation at that time.. I wanted to show her the pictures of the introduction, she said she don't care about the picture since he is not around.. Though my fiancee has already submitted the introduction pictures to USCIS, so I believe she has already seen it as well..
She asked how old are mine and my fiancee? I told her... She said why large age difference? What makes me to go for him? I told her I love him, she asked why did I love him? I told her he is trustworthy... She said how can I say he is trustworthy, the person I rarely see... I said again we have things in common? She asked like what? I told her singing, dancing, cooking.. She asked what kind of dance, I said hip-hop... She said how can someone of that age be dancing hip- hop.. I told her he can shake his body with joke..
She asked in what ways do we communicate? I didn't hear her very well, I mistakenly said Twitter in which we never communicate on Twitter.
She said I dnt want Twitter because it is not confidential... What other areas do you communicate? That's when I now realized what she was saying?
I told her on phone and email...
I showed her the phone records from Airtel from the past 3 months Oct 2018 -Jan 2019 which is the maximum month you can get from telecommunications company.. My fiance already helped me to print out from his side from July 2018-oct2018. I showed her both, she just collected it and only looked at the front page and returned it to me. Still she was not satisfy. She said I want to see your email communication, she asked if I have it here and I said I dnt have it here with me.
She said she want to see it, gave me 221g Form indicate email From oct2017-till date.. She returned my passport and told me to submit it to DHL...
She was not happy with my response all through.. I could see it in her face...
It took me a week to print all the emails and also include the same phone records which I have already showed her during the interview to the email and I submitted it at dhl Isolo..
Have already lost hope reading about the experience of people put on AP on Visajourney and all that that's it takes longer time...
But Lo and behold, after 3days of submitting my email, I was contacted to submit my international passport for Visa issuance... That's how I got my joy...
I thank God I was not automatically denied because some people may be denied instantly...
Secondly, I thank God she didn't ask me to provide Twitter as more evidence of communication which I dnt have because it's a mistake that's made me to say Twitter.
I GIVE GLORY TO GOD Wow. That was some real grilling. Thank God for favor. Congratulations. |

LegitBachelor: Guys, I was approved!!!
I'm so grateful to God for his mercies and blessings. The interview in itself was very brief. None of my documents or pictures was checked during the interview proper. Was just asked questions on dates. Questions like.....when did we started talking, when did we see each other in person, when did I propose. It was a smooth sail compared to the way others were grilled.
There were over 40 of us, but only 2 (that I'm aware of) were outrightly denied. Several were placed on administrative processing (visa wasn't denied though). They were given back their passport and requested to provide additional information before their visa can be issued. However many were approved at the spot and their passport retained for visa stamping.
Even though my interview time was short, I was there from 5am till 12noon. This is despite the fact that my appointment time read 6am . The reason for this was because they gave priority to family members with little kids and elderly so they gave them numbers before me even though I came before them. Also another reason for the delay was because only 2 consular officers were interviewing us. Before each interview, the consular officer will go through the file thoroughly before he or she calls the applicant. It was a tiring wait but a fruitful one and I bless God for everything.
My advice to those going for the interview, just be yourself. You have nothing to fear as long as your relationship is genuine. Your fiance/petitioner, who is an American citizen, has every right to love and get married to anyone of his or her choice, whether a fellow citizen or an alien.
So relax, your fiancee chose you, so you will get the visa. Just get all your documents and commit everything to God. Great. Congratulations. I am still waiting for my NOA2 |

Nothing special about the movie. Just a typical nollywood movie full of well known people.
The External Auditor scene is a disgrace, NO external auditor will act like that to management, a little research would have helped.
No intrigue, no suspense, no surprise. A very predictable movie.
The only DIFFERENT thing about the movie is that it's on Netflix. Meanwhile, I have seen some crappy movies on Netflix.
Conclusion: It's like your typical nollywood movie. Nothing special at all, an okay movie. Maybe it was just over hyped. |

The official not feeling satisfied with all proof of business transactions receipts, cancelled my visa and told me to contact the embassy.
I couldn't understand it. I don't know how to go about this, because he obviously acted in error. It's a dent on my travel history and I need advise on who has been or witnessed such similar issue of Visa cancellation and steps that could be taken to resolve it. Thanks If it was last year, with this transcript (not considering other background issues) you would likely have been successful with your visa application. These days, those guys no get joy at all. It seems like they already have a mandate to drastically reduce visas being issued. I believe that if there is no compelling reason to travel, they refuse by default. I also believe the decision is usually made prior to the interview. The interview is just to fulfill all righteousness and to also deny more based on how the interview goes. So I don't think you missed anything, it's just bad timing. |

Wife: we decided to visit NASA space center because my boy want to see a space ship.
SS: what about your husband and children?
Wife: They are outside waiting for me
SS: DO you guys arrived together?
Wife: yes
SS: so, why are you in Houston?
Wife: my boy will like to see a space ship, so we are visiting the NASA space center.
SS: But there is also NASA space center in Florida
Wife: I am not aware.

Wife: 19 Months.
SS: where did you plan to go in Florida? Orlando?
Wife: Disney world
SS:How much do you have with You?
Wife: $$$$
Ss: DO you have any relative or friend here?
Wife: No
SS: so ,where are you staying?
Wife: Told them, seems they didnt get it, so, she handed them the hotel payment receipt with hotel reservation slip.
SS: checked the payment receipt, entered the address into their system and asked how long are you staying?
Wife: 10 days
SS: the second SS officer was busy looking through out the interview observing body posture
SS: Handed her passport and said have fun.
Lesson learnt:
1: my wife filled all the forms by her self, this made answering all the questions easy. 2. The hotel payment receipt. Some guys where sent back because of only reservation. 3. This platform. Wifey studied this platform as if her life depends on it from page 1 to 98. 4. Prayer. It works all the time. Did you all get your visas at the same time?
