Good news from my end. Had a baby boy Dec, 1st @ Gwinnet Medical Centre. Was a wonderful experience with Dr. Oduro and all the nurses. Patient care here is AMAZING!!! We thank God. Mum and baby are doing well. Just thought to let the house know.

1 question, I'm travelling with less than $500 cash but I have BoA debit and credit card. With 10k and 5k on each respectively. Hope they won't frown at the little cash on me?

One can drive with the new FRSC's DL. We rented a car from Hertz and we are currently driving here. Infact taxis are so expensive and for those of us staying at the suburbs, there's hardly any bustops or MARTA. BTW, in Georgia, it's permissible to use a foreign DL for upto 30 days after which one can apply for the state permit etc. So do check with the state's motor vehicle administration in person or online to confirm.

Hello Ayosho....when did you get this? I got Drs fess at $2000 no discount and hospital at at $4000-$6000 with a 40% discount. I better call to clarify as I dont want to be slapped with a nasty bill after. Above is with Dr Oduro delivering at Gwinnett.

Yea Ayosho this is same thing i got. And i spoke with their financial dept. i was saying you should select a Dr from their Gwinnett group of Obgyns.

Gwinnett is truly the cheapest in Georgia I found. But u get 40% off that 10k
And if u use another Ob/gyn it's 1800. So just under 8k u will pay in total. Ask the hospital for discounts that u paying in full cash! They can reduce.

Stay in cobb county nau and you can move closer to the hospital when the time is near...that's what I intend to do. Got this from Dr Oduro, for those doing Cs operation
Dr's bill including anaesthesia, 1 prenatal visit including 1 scan is 5150k dollars and hospital fee Gwinnett Medical hospital is between 10k to 12k dollars plus 40percent discount.
I would appreciate if anyone can help with something cheaper within Atlanta, Georgia.

Why Dr. Oduro? They are other cheaper Drs attached to the hospital.

Am currently at metro extended stay, lawrenceville its not that bad u can check them online and book them depending on what room and how many occupants….i took a large studio with 2 double beds cos and the total was 846 for the first months including, deposits and tax…..but a smaller room will be cheaper….i have asked them for my bill next month and its slightly cheaper am paying 780 or so……so if its just you, it will be cheaper….they do monthly rates but not online so whatever estimate u get onine will be cheaper when u get here if you take advantage of their monthly rates…….its like 5 minutes to the hospital and a walkable distance to walmart for your grocery shopping…..am hear till janaury hopefully so you can send me pm and i just update you more and its 7 dollars to the hospital if its just you and additional 2 dollars per passenger or so……

The best time to buy BA is January and February ( ve been doing it for 5 yrs now). If u don't want to risk it now, u can book ur ticket bt check for same route in Jan and February and see d difference, u ll be surprised.

I don't have the full details yet though.

Will really appreciate if u can get the details. I'm hoping it's close to the hospital coz I have accommodation in atl but it's an hour away so I need something closer to Gwinnett Medical centre. I'm not using Dr. Soyoola...I just think paying a 1000$ more for a Nigerian Dr is not worth it lol. So I'm using one of the Ob/gyns from the hospital.

Seems the cost have changed- 2 Days Incur Charges From $8,000 To $10,000 for norm delivery- 40% discount Uninsured Patients.

Dr Soyoola too- $2,849.00 but me a discount of 300 at the end of the day.

Anesthesia bill is separate and Circumcision is an additional 250.

I am going ahead with it though.

Also thinking of using Gwinnett.
