egariyi: That you didnt use El Paso and Arizona does not warrant your statement. All US hospitals have certain minimum and maximum requirements before you can operate. So for those hospitals to be given license, they met those criteria s. Besides, its the blue pali thats the concern of most of us weather you delivered in George Bush personal hospital, El Paso or Arizona. I delivered my baby in El Paso last Sept and got excellent service from both Hospital and Doctors that I wouldn't even get in those over hyped hospitals in Lagos and Abuja. With epidural and no hidden charges. Are u smoking cheap drugs Who gives a rats ass where u birthed? Bia don't make me break my new year resolution to stop responding to stupidity! Where in my statement did I discredit either place? Or u didn't go to school? I don't have any social support in either State hence my saying I don't know what the hell I was thinking. Meaning how would I have coped with the running around and post delivery care. But maybe u have an issue with birthing in El paso and someone probably yabbed u b4 u felt the need to jump in here like a ninja to attack me. Nonsense. No vex me oh. |

To clear the confusion about maiden name or not on baby's BC, I believe it DIFFERS from State to State. Different States have different laws in the US. So let's slow down in confusing people by saying "in the US". Just speak about the State u birthed in. |

dayo1401: @Justwise, please can you elaborate how UK spouse visa would help really. Wouldn't it be a valid question for the VO to ask that why does she not want to give birth in the UK when she hold a UK visa that would enable her give birth for free in London.Just a thought Some one on this thread Vavara I think is actually Russian and she was given a US visa to have her child in Tx. Ur wife has a choice of Drs, she can say she has researched on a particular Dr of interest and would like to use him/her to birth her child based on reviews and referrals. As this is her first, she wants the best during her delivery process. And I agree with Justwise, her spouse visa actually strengthens her case. |

dayo1401: Thanks Shawbabe and Pattyreal; I just want the application to be as simple as possible without any complicated stories. She can use my bank statement and I've documentation to proof the source of the money from my business both in UK. If she uses my bank statement does that mean there will be no money in her account? I undestand u want a straight forward visa process for her but what u did has really dented her case. The previous passport has all her travel history and would have very much strengthen her application. This is my own 2 cents: U provide ur account statements to her, ur passport/data page info, consent letter that u are her sponsor and the N5 mill in her account is urs with PROOF of transfer. And find out other documents u may need to give her to take along. But on the real, what will you guys tell the Home Office when they find out the passport her biometric card is linked to is invalid? Try sit down and draw up an honest plan, of it's possible to declare the supposed missing passport found, ask her to find out. U have taken her case 4 steps back even b4 the process has started. Just pray and be honest amd transparent from now on, if it's God's will she will get the visa. Amen! |

dayo1401: @shawbabe, thanks a lot, the N5m is from me her hubby, I run a business in naija and I run a business in the uk as well. Her spouse visa is a biometric card and not a visa stamp on the passport so she has just one new naija passport without any visa on it. (we just filed for a missing passport and got a new one at the passport office) Lol when these VOs say fraud is in Nigerian DNA, we start getting angry. Well u have already got new passport, but I advise she sticks to the truth and to be honest she will have to really convince the VO that N5 million is urs. U and her have to be honest and ahow everything about both of u home and abroad. U never know, it could be what will strengthen her case. |

dayo1401: Hello house please I need your advise, my wife is final year student in Nigeria and currently 4months pregnant.
she intends to give birth in USA and will be applying from Naija stating she is studying and I ve a business in Nigeria as a business man. She has N5M in her account in Zenith so I believe cash shouldn't be a problem.
She intends to submit a original letter from the university stating she is a student and her school ID card. And if they ask that who is the sponsor she will say her husband who is based in Nigeria working as a business man. ( She has the original copy of my registered business in Nigeria)
Please note; the reason we don't want to state that i am based in the UK is because we believe she might be asked why doesn't she want to give birth in the uk. For this reason, we had to get a new passport so her UK spouse visa is not on her passport when she applies.
Please house, I need your humble visa on our plan. I have not really heard about students travelling to give birth but usually working people. Make una advise please. What do you think of our plans? 1st of all...what student keeps a bank account of N5 million? That's #1 red flag. #2 she now has 2 passports which is outrightly fraudlent and criminal by Nigerian law so in essence, I'll advise you REALLY check the authenticity of the 2nd passport coz I can't imagine how it was processed. #3 you have a right to choose the country you wish to have your baby in as long as you can foot the cost. A spousal UK visa doesnt inhibit her chances in any way. I suggest she goes with her original passport and get the 2nd one cancelled by immigration so she won't create problems with Home Office. She can go for her USA visa and tell the truth that u are based in the UK. She can tell them ahe has a particular Dr in the US she wants to use for birth. No need for all these lies. It complicates things for her in Nigeria and UK. So she would now be walking around with 2 Nigerian passports with 2 different visas |

hebrewoman2014: @MrsDan: Congrats on the birth of your LO! Thank God for safe delivery.
Northside Atlanta gave me an estimate of $3550 for vaginal and $5475 for csection Their Anaesthesia dept quoted $1300 for epidural with 20% discount and $1500 for cs Anaesthesia same discount My Ob quoted $1600 Don't have a paediatricians quote yet. Hoping MrsDan can help with that. Atlanta Medical Centre is another okay one. They quoted $3200 for normal and $5200 for caesarean delivery.
Please take your time and survey very well before you make a decision. I think that Emory midtown deal is a good one too though. Didn't know about it before. Hebrewwoman2014, pls can I have ur Dr's details? I'm using Northside and I'm yet to get a Dr. Thanks |

shelly23: Has anyone flown Lufthansa to the US? What was the experience like?
Just found a decent deal on United's website but routed through Lufthansa. I'm trying to avoid the Houston POE, so this one lands in Washington DC, not Houston because the flight will be coming from Frankfurt. For only N247k, it's a good deal, but I've never flown Lufthansa before and the journey is a LOT shorter than that of Emirates. I've flown Lufthansa to Canada and to the UK. It's a good airline. I'll rate it better than BA in terms of service and comfort. Do u land in Frankfurt? If u do, hope ur layover is not much becoz there's not much to do at Frankfurt airport. What I used to do if I had a layover more than 3 hours was to go have a shower at the airport. It costs €5 (euros). U get a towel, soap and hairdryer. |

fehinebony: Was @ Montgomery alabama 2wks ago, visited Jackson hospital, and took a tour round the mother and child section, the delivery room is very nice, heard the delivery suite is larger and finer than that of baptist east &south.the nursery is also nice as well, I dint get to visit baptist, cos I settled for Jackson as my inlaw had 2 of her kids there and she told she preferred jackson to any other hospital in Montgomery, she lives in Montgomery and she is a nurse, so I went with what she recommended. Thanks for this. Pls do u have their price quote? @ chloe7 which hospital is Dr Stephen Ayres attached to? |

bmay: Hi Shawbabe. I don't know the page but I believe its Jackson Hospital. Are you considering using them as against gwinnett? I'm also looking at them if I don't find a more affordable option in atlanta. Yea it's just 4hrs drive from Atlanta. So I'm thinking going there closer to delivery and retuning to atlanta after birth. But I need to make sure the hospital's standard is good and the cheap package they're offering is worth me carrying myself there. |
