Cloud699999:Buy incense (turari), strong one o. Try to get original, go to those those Alfa’s that sell them. Try to always keep it on. That spirit isn’t her ghost. It’s some jinns using that to scare you. The incense and prayer will send it away. If you can engage it in talks, you can shout at it to send it away. |
omonnakoda:Stop pretending you don’t know how Nigerian parents are. |
Ezennwa:No be corona. It’s a norm in the north. Na when month end and salary is being shared dem dey plenty for office. |
The father shares part of the blames here. Nigerian parents are so fond of comparing children, which isn’t cool at all, it brews enmity and hatred. |
YorubaKinging: Lol bro. Fasting stops when the month of Ramadan completes 30 or the moon is sighted, whichever comes first. Why u go talk say we go fast tire? Na die be that na. ![]() |
Were they contemplating it before? |

Iamundisputed:I just tire for the level of impatience we possess here in Lagos. A few seconds/minutes patience can prevent hours of delay in traffic. |
Iamundisputed:And car users hardly slow down for pedestrians to cross even at zebra crossings. Most motorists in Lagos behave that way. Even to let a pedestrian pass between cars in traffic na war for some, as if that person will take up the space. Most motorists in Lagos are just too impatient |
Nice one. If Nigeria can have over 6,000 cases from just little over 35,000 tests with a population of over 200m, I wonder how many positive cases we’ll have if we tested 1 million persons. |
Always targeting or promising. We may not hear anything about this program afterwards. They’ve been diversifying the economy since 2015, yet dollar trades for over 450 to the naira today. Abeg cut us some slack on this diversification you guys have been shouting. A serious government would have invested heavily in other non-oil sectors, but no; oil money dey sweet them. Lazy ass politicians. |
CodeTemplar:Chill bro. Jesus preached love. He said love your neighbors as yourself, your neighbor can be anyone irrespective of religion and any other status. |
Your write up says LUTH, you carry LASUTH gate picture put. |
desiredhome:Sadly, that’s how most of we Nigerians are wired. It’s a natural phenomenon for human to be selfish, but what we possess most here is greed and covetousness. |
Kingpele:He never said he joined politics to solve unemployment problems. Please read again. |
Esseite:He doesn’t have solution to any of Nigeria’s problems. He clearly said he joined politics cos he had no job not because he wanted to be a leader or solve Nigeria’s problems. That’s how most of these so called politicians are. They joined politics to make money, SIMPLE. With what this man has said, I’m not surprised. |
First job I ever got paid for was painting apprentice. After secondary school wey man no get admission in time due to jamb and post jamb issues, man thought of getting something to do while seeking admission. First I started as an aluminum apprentice with one of my uncles. Most of the time there’s usually no work and we just sit all day till evening, I got tired and stopped going after some time. Shortly after one bros for area then that’s a painter called me and asked if I’ll like to go on painting jobs with him that I can learn and earn some stipends. I agreed, the first job I did with him was to paint one first bank branch at apapa or there about. The job wasn’t a big one though, we were to paint just the gate and fence. At the end of the day I got paid 500 naira. Man was happy, at least that’s my first ever wage. The money sef I later dashed it out to someone, no be say na big boy I do o, the person actually needed it and I just gave it out. I went on a second job with him, the job was 2-3 days we slept over at the site, that was a big job, painting a whole duplex I think at magodo. At the end of the 3 days I got paid 1,500 naira. Man wasn’t so happy cos I expected like 3k, but e no matter. We went on a few more jobs until i found another job as a waiter. Those kind of waiters that serve at parties. The first job was 1,200 pay after some hours of work plus nice food. I was so happy, 1,200 in one day. I did that job for about 2-3 years going to different places and learning some culinary skills alongside. I had to quote the job when I gained admission and never looked back to doing it again. While in school I did some businesses just to make some money for myself cos I’ve been a very independent person, must be due to the fact I spent 6 years in boarding school. Now we thank God for where we are, when I look back at the meager amount I earned then compared to what I earn now and my expenses I just smile. Still growing though. We’re not there yet but we’re grateful. |
Always sharing. |
GrandMufti:You dey mind those ones? |
Funny enough some students from public schools go still do better than these ones paying 4.5m if they go head to head academically. 4.5m is much make we no lie. But since the parents took their kids their willingly, I gat no problem with that. Make the school sef reason with the parents. Na everyone need money at this moment. |
Alhaji Lai Mohammed was bragging in February that the government has the capacity to handle Covid-19, that there was no cause for panic. We’ve seen how well it’s been handled so far. That man can just like to run his mouth. |
![]() I don’t think the report says the police want to investigate his source of income. I guess it’s investigation of how he got policemen as escorts. |
[quote author=MizJaY post=89104742]Sorry for the long message but this lockdown period might favour reading long msgs.. He's too difficult at times. You can try this money management technique. I read it in a book and it should work for you. Divide ur salary into 3, the first part (70%) should cover for all your expenses. (20%) the second part should be for debt (if you’re indebted) if not you can decide to keep that somewhere. The third part (10%) should be saved for the purpose of investment later in the future. This 10% you should by all means not touch. You can keep saving it for as long as you feel you can start an investment/business. And ensure you carry out a proper research and have adequate knowledge on the investment you may want to go into. Note: The division can be flexible, you may choose to adjust the percentages to how it suits you. But the 10% part must not go lower than 10%. The 20% may go for emergency if you do not have debts to pay. You can try this technique and see if it’ll work out for you. |
The kain houses built on the Lagos island ehn. A 30-40 year old bungalow will be re developed into a 3 storey building within 3-6 months. There is no proper spacing amongst the houses there sef, everywhere choke. Just walk around some of the streets on Lagos island at night, you’ll see almost everyone outside receiving fresh air especially when there’s no light. To even carry furniture enter your apartment na through balcony using ropes and ladders. Doors are too narrow to allow chairs in. Everyday new construction dey go on.Roads sef narrow join. Na one ways plenty pass for there. If you no dey careful or be new driver on the island, you go pay lastma tire. Omo Lagos Island na different world entirely. |

If you’ve ever been to the North, you’ll wonder where these kids come from. In Katsina for example, they are in all the areas of the state capital, there is no single place you’ll go in Katsina town where you won’t find these kids. As early as 7am, they’ll come to your gate and start begging for alms/food, sometimes people put remnants by their gates/doorsteps so when these kids come they just pick em up for meal. They are also always around anywhere food is sold, roadside food vendors, parks food vendors and even hang around some eateries, old and young, (young most populous). They walk around aimlessly with their bowls in their hands, it will surprise you that those bowls were donated to them by some rich fellow. I vividly remember in Daura sometimes last year during the Ramadan period, a rich man distributed brand new begging bowls to a number of almajiris in Daura town and it was tagged as helping the poor. I was like what the heck? You’re only encouraging these kids to beg on. What I noticed about this almajirinci system is that it will be a very difficult trend to end anytime soon. An average rich Northerner (male or female) love to be paid obeisance. They enjoy it when they’re greeted “Rankadede”, who else will roll on the floor and bow to greet them if not the large population of the poor/almajiri. The North can only progress if their people/elites take the bull by the horn and make moves to end this. But will they? I seriously don’t think they will want to, these guys add a large chunk of numbers to their votes. What the North needs is serious educational reforms, both islamic and western. All what they practice and tag as being Islamic are not true. Saudi Arabia is an Islamic state and I’ve never heard of Almajiri/Almuajirun (Arabic interpretation) taking place over there as it is done here. |
Yet they are paying new teachers less than 900k per annum as salary. |
