The idiots! They have been saying this since July last year and many of use have even sold our Techno phone due to their nonchalant attitude towards customer requests. We bought Phantom 6 and we're hoping to get an Android N update, when it wasn't forthcoming, I personally asked one of their officials and he told me to wait for Phantom 7 that they will release soon, which will come with Nougat. That was the day I decided to sell my phone; that goodness I've dumped the trash for Infinix Zero 4 Plus, which Nougat has been released for since April. |

Phones › Re: How Do You Cope With GLO Data Network Frustration? by shevon: 9:23am On Jun 06, 2017 |
jetroolowole: I used Wifi in my office for my business but at home I use Glo data to browse. I know the Network is slow but in the past days it has really been frustrating. I have had to take my home based internet business to my office which is against my work policy.
If you are experiencing same poor data speed with Glo, how are you coping? Any other alternative? I am based in Lagos. How I cope? I ported my Glo line to Etisalat, that way I can keep my number and use a reasonably fast network, though at a higher price than I would Glo. At least, I spend the money and save myself the head and heart ache. What's the point in paying for cheap data you can't use? |

My father was a Catholic, then became a Muslim and now is back in the Catholic church, and was married to my mum, who is a Presbyterian. I grew up a Catholic and I'm married to a Yoruba woman whose father own a Church. I think it's all about the individual, we all have different perspective to life and religion. What I might think is sacrosanct may be seen as secular by the next person. So, don't give up hope of marrying an Igbo man who is Catholic and does not care if you are of the same faith or otherwise, we plenty out here. |
Family › Five Finger Prayer by shevon(op): 5:45am On May 28, 2017 |
This is beautiful - and it is surely worth making the 5 finger prayer a part of our lives.
1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C. S. Lewis once said, a 'sweet duty.'
2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.
3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the president, leaders in business and industry, and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God's guidance.
4. The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact that this is our weakest finger, as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night.
5. And lastly comes our little finger - the smallest finger of all which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others. As the Bible says, 'The least shall be the greatest among you.' Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively.
*Don't tell God how big your storm is, tell the storm how big your God is!!!!! Good morning and Happy Sunday to you all. |

Family › What Is Her State Of Origin? by shevon(op): 6:47am On May 24, 2017 |
I am not too sure but I think I've seen a discussion of this nature here on NL but I doubt there was a specific answer to the question. I want to know, after a woman gets married and she is asked to fill out an application that requires her to confirm her state of origin, does she enter her state or origin by birth or by marriage? This has always gotten me confused and I don't know any authority on the subject I can verify this from. This is not an academic exercise, I just need to get clarification on the topic. And for those who will tell me to ask Google, biko give me im phone number, house or office address because I'd rather I speak with him directly |

Family › Beacuse I Am A Woman... by shevon(op): 6:48am On May 13, 2017 |
WHOEVER WROTE THIS SHOULD BE GIVEN AN AWARD. I AM A WOMAN!!!
So what? I get into an argument with a man, he slaps me, I feel the pain, yet they tell me I provoked him. I should have been quiet, I should have been patient. I should apologize to him.
I get into an argument with a man, I slap him, they tell me I have no respect, no home training. I should have been quiet, I should have been patient. I should apologize to him. Because I am a woman, I don't have a right to be angry. So, the degree of my innocence is directly proportional to the degree of my silence in the face of oppression and brutality.....
Because I am a woman, my husband cheats on me, I am told to tolerate it to save my marriage. The barbaric and stupid excuse is that ''it is in their nature to cheat, I should slim down, dress better, cook better, pray harder and be more pleasant to him"
I cheat, and I am called a LovePeddler, I have committed an abomination, I have no right to look elsewhere for the love and emotional support I lack at home, I am an irresponsible mother.
So I am sent packing, from the home we both built, with all my earthly possessions stuffed into a tiny box on my head. I am henceforth forbidden from seeing my two older children, I'm lucky to be allowed to go with my little one still suckling on my left breast. Three years later, the little one is tagged a bastard. Now, my new name is "after-three", because I am a woman.
He is 28 and runs a company. He's tagged wonderful, hardworking, focused, career oriented, successful at a very young age.
I am 28 and I run a company "Hmmmm.... she is not even married, unserious, can not order her priorities right, a hustler, loves money, let her go and get a husband oh" And I wonder if being successful has anything to do with a person's gender.
Because I am a woman, I am not allowed to have wits or be a prodigy, I cannot be financially buoyant, professionally successful or be treated with respect without a man beside me.
Then I am tagged a generous leg opener, "a runs girl". They never see the possibility that I actually had to go through ups and downs to get to where I am, because I am a woman.
A man looses his wife to death and remarries a year after, he did the right thing, he's being praised and congratulated for moving on, after all life is for the living.
A woman looses her husband to death and remarries after 4yrs, "aaah! so early? Are u sure she wasn't sleeping with that man even when her husband was alive? That was why she killed her husband. She's a witch! Because she's a woman.
Because I am a woman, this post will be considered controversial, and everyone will try to correct me. But don't forget, that I am a woman and it does not make me less human!!! |

Pls when will cbn increase foreign currency withdrawal from Naira-denominated accounts? I was going to ask the same question. Even if it is to increase the limit to $500/month (which is still a far cry from what should be) it is better than the current $100. |

matrixme: To plant cassava, all you have to do is to cut the long stem into several small sizes and immerse it into the soil. I think the government recently introduced some Vitamin A Cassava into the market and now the prices are up. Why don't they revert back to the old cassava cuttings that has never made anyone nutrient deficient for ages? After all Sugar is fortified with Vitamin A and most people drink their garri with it. Thank you o, Mr zoharariel. I really do appreciate your post and will take your advice to heart. But Pls, which one is yahoo plus plus nah?? Nne, are you for real? You don't know what Yahoo plus plus is? You really need a friend, no plenty " good" friends in Lagos. Biko, make friends that will tell you the truth and always have your back. Though we fall in the age group of ya friend list, marriage don knock us off. But, hey, not all married people are bad or are gossips or are after singles or don't need single friends they can hang out with once in a while. You can learn a thing or two from them too. All the same, best of luck with you friend hunting and welcome to Las Gidi. |
