Funny enough, I had same conversation with my wife today. A delivery guy brought diapers I ordered online, I transferred the cash to her account, she paid and told me afterwards and I thanked her. She then asked why I was thanking her, I told her it was just out of mare cutesy. Children should thank their parents after a meal not because their parents are doing them any favour, but simply out of cutesy. Yes, parents have the obligation to provide for their children and the children should appreciate the efforts put in by the parents to provide for them, mostly out of cutesy. In doing that, the children will also learn to appreciate people outside when efforts are put into providing them any service or favours. If the child doesn't say thank you, that is not a ground for victimisation or an opportunity to beat the child to force it on the child because the parent has not done anything extraordinary for the child. That's just my opinion though, to each his own. |
dingbang:I have other account but because of financial discipline, I decided decided not to have ATM cards or internet banking access to the other accounts. I've got FCMB and Access Bank accounts, there is no point in having accounts scattered all over. Thanks for the offer though. |
I have never been embarrassed as much as I was yesterday, all my online and ATM transactions were declined. If not for the fact that I was well know at the restaurant I went to in VI yesterday, who knows what would have become of me. At the end of the day, I had to beg for cash at the office before I could leave. It was terrible. |
hezy4real01:Victor is not just any photographer adugbo, he's a straight up guy and a professional to the core. He's done huge projects for big shots in the industry and he's not one of those that will flaunt and brag all over the internet. |
akinade28:First you call out the people that say they can't, afterwards you doubt the person that said he would. So, exactly why do I need to take the bullet for you again? |
Pavore9:That's the irony of life. When we throw shades at each other, we are, somewhat, OK with it. But when an outsider throws shades at Nigerians, you can't tell a Yoruba man different from an Igbo or Hausa man because we all will go all out and call for the MF's head. I wonder why then all the internal squabble, why we can't just live together in peace without the tribalism and hate for each other, only the bare our fangs at non-nigerians taking a swipe at us. |
Gilbertase:Thanks a lot brah? Really appreciate keeping the stuff for me. |
Interns in SLB can never earn up to 120k. Not now, not in the past. Furthermore, he interned at MI, a SLB company, which compounds the lie even more. |
toosoon:Oya, see post and picture evidence that he couldn't have been earning that much https://www.nairaland.com/4053715/mr-eazi-lied-n2million-schlumberger |
He is obviously lying. For you to earn that much in Shclum, you would be a manager. Even the offshore guys "hardly" earn that much. He was even a staff of MI (not a core Schlum staff) Na wah o. |
Why is his head bigger than the butt? Ayam not undastandin |
Petitediva14:I had same exact issue. I called GTB and they siad there was nothing wrong with my card; I also called Paypal and they too said they don't any challenge from their end and that I should contact my Bank. The thing is so frustrating I had to forget using Paypal altogether. |
I still go there to check profile pictures of those who still use it. ![]() |
Emmanueledu:Yup, he's the one! |
Yet to be identified ke? That is Ademola Adedoyin na, he featured in Kunle Afolayon's October 1 and also plays a key role in Jemeji (currently showing weekdays on DSTv AM151) |
I'm really impressed with the quality of the honey I got, thank you so much. |
Fkforyou:You might be right. I call my married female friends Babe, even when I receive or call them in my wife's presence. The only thing I would have done differently if I were the lady is to ask the guy to stop being silly by asking me if I missed him (even if we had a history) and the late chats too will definitely pass a wrong message. But the heart of men/women is very deep sha, it is well. OP, like someone suggested, let themselves out. You might give an advice that may be misconstrued once they have made up and are in za oza room. Ọrọ Ọkọ ati Iyawo o se da si. |
Tolexander:Lol... Nna, leave all these politicians and their shenanigans. A not so distant leader once was standing at a rally where another former leader announced that he was going to run for just one term in office. We all know the end of the story. Politicians and lies/pretence are like white on Rice more often than not. |
Tolexander:Haba, how will he not want his name in the media when he has 2019 ambitions. How else will he be popular? Him not getting media coverage during this celebration period will not do his popularity drive any good, especially among.... Abeg, let me not write what's on my mind, everything you write or do in that line is seen a d tag bigotry now-a-days; mbok, I don't have power for chere ka m bia. |
Hi all. I have a PS4 in the house but my son won't let me play it in peace, he keeps dragging the control with me and cries when I end or shutdown the system. Anyways, told my brother in-law about it and he gave my boy his old Xbox Original but the disks he gave us are not playing due to overuse. I've been searching for where to get games to no avail, any ideas? |
Gilbertase:Oh, no. It's not that I'm doubting you, I had seen the price even before I made my comment. It's just that, like I mentioned in my earlier post, it is way above my current budget. E just be say Naija of today, e hard to reach agreement with people you hardly know (and this goes both ways), if not I for say make we relate. |
Gilbertase:I for like buy the watch but the price is way bigger than my budget. |
I wish I can meet the man. Since I read this, to slap person just dey hungry me and the son of a worm would have been the best candidate. ![]() |
WhyNa:Contact details nko? I really need these for my kids. |
No pictures or contact details? |
It can be annoying. I was at the airport around 11:15pm to pick up a German friend traveling from PHC to LOS on a Dana flight that was supposed to have landed in Lagos by 1:50pm. She said they didn't even offer any form of explanation or make any announcements till around 8:30pm when it was mentioned that the plane taking them to Lagos will arrive by 9:45pm. Such insensitivity!!! |

ikevictor22:I beg to disagree. These services are not a status thing (except you are using Uber Select) and most often than not, they are even cheaper and more comfortable than using your regular taxi. The only problem is the quality of service they office. Take for instance the fee they charge for their driver not coming to pick up a rider, if you have you card on the app, they will definitely it your account and when you report the issue, they credit the money to your Uber account. What if the remaining money in your account is meant for another thing but you want to use the 1k to get another taxi service, how will you use the money credited to your Uber account to pay the Baba that'll come pick you up? What is the sanction they place in such drivers? There are so many things they can do to ensure they don't charge riders unreasonably but choose not to because they know if they charge and credit the money to your Uber account, you would have no choice but to use them again until you exhaust the money in your wallet. Most times, you have to request for rides upwards of 3 times before you get someone to come pick you up. It is just sad. |
AutoJoshNG:Bros, you are sssooooo right about Uber on these 3 points. Heaven help you if you don't know your way around. Imagine me always booking Uber to take me from Awolowo Way, Ikeja to Beesam in Mafoluku and the app will be showing the driver the best route is Awolow Way-Medical Road-Agege Motor Rd-Ladipo-Ogundele to my final destination when the driver could have just taken Awolowo Way-Medical Rd.-Airport Rd to Beesam and saved nothing less than 20mins drive. And the most annoying for me is charging of N1,000.00 every time their driver fail to come pick you. I booked one a few weeks ago, he was at Abba Johnson and was supposed to come pick my wife and baby at Lagoon Hospital on Adeniyi Jones (less than 1min drive o) despite asking us to wait for him, the driver drive past the hospital and headed towards the local airport. After an endless wait, Uber charged us N1,000.00 "for the driver's time". I was so pissed that even me wouldn't have taken the kind of email I wrote them as a joke, the idiotic Uber company wrote me back and said sometimes, the drivers can't make a pick up for technical reasons. Ha! Technical reason for someone that was supposed to pick us less than 1 minute away from where he was when we requested the ride? Who even told us to wait that he'd come but headed to the airport? What is so technical about that other than wickedness because he knew we'd still be charged for it? I just jeje removed my card from the app and wished them all the best with their idiotic services. For the surge pricing, that is share rip off. Drivers will be everywhere I yet they say there is surge due to high demands. Even these drivers will intentionally go offline as soon as it gets to certain period of the day to create scarcity thereby creating a situation for the surge. They don't really care about their customers, all they are after is the money they'd make of the sub par service they offer. |
Boda, it is not even close!!! Justbusiness: |
