ephi123:Not in this world! It wasn't as if I was having issues at the office then. It was just that work was getting too monotonous they refused to transfer me to another department. It got so bad I willingly offered to work with the IT department at no extra cost to the office. If they had offered me same salary as I was earning then, I would have gladly left for the new place. |
I went for an interview once and I was asked how much I was being paid at my (then) place of work. When I told them (the honest truth) everybody in the panel were like The lady that asked me the question simply told me "Even our MD does not earn that much" and I knew that was it, I will never get this job. |

For a couple of weeks now, Yoruba actress, Toyin Aimakhu has been trending in the News over one controversy or the other. Just as she was at the verge of getting away with the 'I'll die for PDP' comment, her fans again lambasted her for congratulating the President-elect, Gen. Buhari, over his awesome wining at the recently concluded Presidential elections. The fair complexioned script interpreter has had another unpleasant moment with some of the guests at AY Live. The drama started when the host of the show, AY, announced that there would be a give away phones to a particular set of people. AY said that courtesy of Maltina, the official sponsor of the show, that 10 brand new iPhone 6 would be up for grabs. He gave condition for the winnings; those with tickets that certain words were written on it were beckoned to step forward to claim the phones. Before the comedian could finish reading out the terms for the prizes, Toyin dashed out, followed by Empress Njamah; who took Funke Akindele's ticket. Although AY was reluctant initially, because of the negative reactions of the audience, but he later gave the two actresses an iPhone each. He also made jest of them for drooling over such give aways when they could have allowed other people enjoy such great opportunity. Adding to AY's comments of disappointment, I Go Dye also tongue lashed the actresses for embarrassing themselves on stage over mere phone that they could easily afford based on the standard. @OP: Oya, I don post the short story here, what next? |
Has anybody noticed that Dstv customer care service has to been reachable for the past 3 days. Even when you send email and leave them messages on twitter and Facebook, they haven't been responding. I've spent more than 2k on calls alone to them and I'm always placed on hold indefinitely. Please, has anybody faced this kind of issue? If yes, how did you get it resolved? |
suwailad:This their mistake is becoming one too many. The other time, it was showing a map of Niger Republic as Nigeria and now this. During the Ebola rave, the also considered Nigeria as being part of countries which the virus has got to an epidemic state when the last case had been dealt with months before then and now this. They should get their acts together jare. |

I have never liked the idea of going out to cast votes during elections because I don't trust Politicians, and I am one of those that would not blame any politician because I know my inaction (in a way) helped put them where they are. But in 2011 I decided to go out of my way and vote Jonathan because he was like a deviation from the norm, he was not one of those recycled politician and I believed he would want to bring about a difference. See where we are today. In this country, those that have good track record in governance are never given the opportunity to serve, those with obvious questionable character are seen in every aspect of governance. Worse still, those who are in a position to question these people of shady character are either frustrated into oblivion or gets cut down in one way or the other. Every government that has ruled since I became politically aware of my environment has never seen itself do wrong, so anybody criticizing them (even constructively) is seen as an enemy of the state. The moment our politicians realize that nobody is perfect and that the dent in one's character can best be spotted by others, and vice versa, then things will begin to get better. As of today, I'm not convinced that anybody that wins will do anything different from what others have done in the past (I stand to be corrected) and as such I'm not bothering myself to go out and vote. For those who do and their preferred candidates do not win, election is supposed to be a show of will and choice of the people and not the test of strength and weapon power. Let's all imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship and not that of gamesmanship. This fragile peace we enjoy can never be equated with the slightest civil unrest or fight under any guise. Let's be wise for our sake and that of our future generation. Go and vote and not fight. God bless us all. |
Techwriter:Is this the only part you know? Have your read Jeremiah 38: 26? Let me help you if that part has been torn away from yours, and I quote from NLT: If this happens, just tell them you begged me not to send you back to Jonathan’s dungeon, for fear you would die there.” |
geoworldedu:Come, if this is not a figment of your imagination, kindly provide the source. |

henribj:I understand you perfectly, which is why I wrote the following - @OP: Tiff between a husband and a wife, in whatever form, is very normal but should never get to the level where the husband beats up his wife. That is absolutely unacceptable. Be that as it may, your mum going to beat the childish husband is not the solution. Beg her to go and speak with the guy, subsequent issues between him and his wife should not get to a third ear. I am sure if he hadn't beat your sister, the issue would not have gotten to your mother's hearing. And for your sister, since we don't know the full gist of the financial gbege, there is no way we can advice her as to how to handle such issues, but I believe you are matured enough to handle this one issue since you said it is nothing serious. She should understand that some of us men are just grown babies, she should study her husband and know how to manage him when there are issues in the house such that won't lead to the big baby, sorry... husband beating her. I feel very sorry for her though. 2 years and he is raising his hand on her already. All is well sha. Big ups to you though. |
I wear trousers/shorts without brief or boxers to the office sometimes sef. What's the big deal |
henribj:@bolded: What do you mean by she will know how best to settle things with them? OP told you she's going there to beat the useless wife beater and you are talking about she knowing. Just yesterday, we read that ISIS does not have links with Boko Haram (http://thenewsnigeria.com.ng/2015/03/10/nigeria-dismisses-boko-haram-isis-link/). Today Mr. President is telling us Boko Boys are going abroad for training. So, what do we believe? |

Why was he not confused when he was drilling the gal? Abeg make im shoulder im responsibility well jare. ![]() Modified: dedons:If they mutually agreed to do the do, why is he now asking for advice? Did he ask for it when they 'mutually' agreed to run show? Since it was done by mutual consent, they should mutually agreed on where to go from here. Not asking for advice from us. And may he never produce any other seed if he imposes abortion on her, same will also apply if he suggests it to her sef. Rubbish ![]() They mutually consented to have sex now he is asking for out mutual advice so that we can mutually be part of the curse if the whole thing goes south. Tah! Tufiakwa!!! ![]() |
