Aunty Ayo is actually a very very good school located in Obalende/Ikoyi axis. Another wonderful school with a funny name I know is Mbari Mbayo Nursery and Primary School in Jibowu, Yaba, Lagos. ![]() |
Icon4s:This one looks like it was built during the Colonial Era. That those not mean that it should be pulled down, at least they should manage/maintain it well. |
Momma2:I support you telling your husband abeg. What an insult ![]() Anybody that tries that with my wife will surly end in a hospital cos I'll never dream of doing it to a strangers wife not to talk of my 'friend', whether we are close or not. Some people where asking if he was sex starved, so what? If he was, the best way to ease his sexual tension is to lay with his 'friend's' wife who just put to bed 3 weeks ago? The guy is an animal!!! By the way, madam, you just put to bed three weeks ago and you are already leaving the house to go visit a family friend? Nne, I didn't let my wife smell the kitchen for 2 good months let alone go out. The only time I let her leave the house was when the baby had to take his vaccine. Abeg, stay your house rest. |
I am not a big fan of GEJ or any other politician for that matter but this write up is glaringly fake. I don't believe one line of it: poorly thought out and badly written. This same story can be twisted to fit anybody that has the financial muscle to pull of such offensives like the one BH have been engaging in. Nice try though; better luck with your propaganda next time. |
ifyalways:I didn't even check the date and I already contacted PM news. Thanks a lot for giving this update. I'll just respond to the email I got this morning and give them a feedback. Please, don't you think NL should have a section on this Forum for Charity works like this? |
ylaa:I have contacted PM News and - am waiting for them get me details of the guy that wrote the story. I will put you (and any other person I have their email) in copy of our correspondence. Modified: See Ify's post at the top of this page, something has been don for them already. God bless your good heart. |
Hey people, I have been able to reach Mr. Bisuga Oluwaseun of PM news and I just saw his email response where he promised to discuss the matter with Mr. Cyriacus Izuekwe, the person that wrote the story so that he can assist with coordinating contributions to assist the family. Seun, I tried putting you in copy of the email but I couldn't get any of your email contacts, neither does NL have any one here (or anywhere on the Internet for that matter); please, I would appreciate if I can get any of these email addresses so that the house can be carried along in subsequent correspondences regarding this matter. CC: Seun Osewa Modified: I just saw Ify's post atop this page and realized that the story is actually a 2011 publication and something has been done for the family. Like I suggested in another post, I think there should be a section where such cases can be posted, then we can investigate on a case-by-case basis and see how we can help out whenever we can. The reason is that when such post are mixed up in the family section (this case for example) so many people will not get to see it on time (2011 to 2015 before it was moved to front row of the family section) and as such, people who could have helped then would not be able to until it becomes late. This is just a suggestion though. |
I hate this thing Bloggers do, post an article partially and expect you to go to their site and read the rest. ![]() Anyways, this is the rest of the story: The proposed cemetery is located along Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos. Fashola told journalists after inspecting the site that death is a necessary end that will come when it will come, saying there is the need for people to prepare for it. “We are here to inspect a cemetery, we often don’t like to talk about, but there is a need for it because the population continues to expand and the Lekki sub-region is growing very fast. If you look at it, the Ikoyi Cemetery, the Abari and all of that are more than 100 years old and they were built by colonialists and left behind for us and when you look at the way they have also managed them, many families cannot even visit the vaults where their loved ones are resting. We have this strategic partnership now with the private sector and they are going to deliver a cemetery like no other. They will manage it and make the cost also competitive. There will be high, medium and low density vaults for people who really want to make a statement at their exit. It is true of life that everyone who comes must go. So as we are building hospital to receive new born babies, schools to teach them survival skills in life and start businesses, we must also plan for the end and this may sound odd as some people don’t want to discuss it. I have bought my own vault. It surprises people I paid for it about four years ago. I always tell people if you come here to life, you must plan to go. Those who don’t want to go shouldn’t come,” he stated to the utmost display to all. |
Dear OP, Why are we not seeing your part of the chat? ![]() Anyways, the poor guy is right to an extent and I won't blame him for the outburst. When I was still dating my wife, I never allowed her to do any any of those things in my house but she will always offer to (even when she knows I'd say no) When I'm cooking, she'd be there with me in the kitchen. She will always come with me to the market and sometimes buy the condiments on her way to the house sef. I cannot stop her from tidying the house when she is around cos no matter what I say, she will still do it. Sometimes, she intentionally comes around when I'm not home and do everything I'd not allow her do when I'm home. The only thing I forbade her (and I still don't like her doing as my wife) is to wash my clothes. So, the question to you is have you even offered to help out for once? While you are at it, also show us your response to his chats and let us judge una case well cos what you've done is like stating a case by presenting a one sided argument. I hope your gather wisdom enough to sort out your issues with your beau; otherwise, make your self good enough for the next man in your life to see you as a keeper. Warm regards. |
Hmm, this argument has never, does not and will not hold water in my family. The reason is that for every 40 male child, we only have 1 female. My parents almost had a full football squad cos they were looking for a female child which they got at the 11th hour of their child bearing. One man's food could be poison to someone else; to each his own. Female children are always celebrated in my family and we are core Igbo people (so don't get it twisted) We can afford to let the guys live their lives but our girls are always protected and we'll provided for. Always! And to think we only collect N10 (yes, ten naira) as bride, so people should not start thinking we pamper our girls only to recoup our 'investment' whenever we marry them off. |
Ha! Oni iro aye ati orun ni ogbeni yi sha! That was not it o, the guy is lying through his teeth. It doesn't really matter to me who wins by the way, but I will not cease to say it when I hear a lie, even if it is the type Abraham told about his wife being his sister just to save his head. He can (and will) contest from all indication, but saying he didn't say he will not stay beyond one tenure na lie! Haba!!! Modified: This lie dey pain me. Where is Ayelala when you need it. ![]() |
Daninya11:Biko, no vex but I beg to differ on the part of your comment I quoted. The biblical record says, "But Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the Lord's sight; so the LORD put him to death. Then Judah said to Onan, “Lie with your brother's wife and fulfill your duty to her as a brother-in-law to produce offspring for your brother.” But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his; so whenever he lay with his brother's wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from producing offspring for his brother. What he did was wicked in the Lord's sight; so He put him to death also."(Genesis 38:7-10, NIV) Some have mistakenly assumed that Onan's sin was masturbation. However, it seems that this is not the case (please, note the emphasis on seems) Onan was prematurely withdrawing from sexual intercourse with his new wife, Tamar. This is a form of birth control still practiced today (coiitus interruptus per Latin - or should I say Catholic - parlance). Onan had an obligation to provide his wife with a child, and his brother with an heir (Deut. 25:5-6; Matt. 22:24). He was now the oldest son in a tribe that was supposed to be fruitful and multiply in fulfillment of God's promise to Abraham. As the heir of Judah, he was destined to one day become the tribe's spiritual and moral leader. Onan's sin was in purposely disobeying his father, denying his wife the opportunity of conceiving the child that she wanted (and probably needed). There were strong cultural and practical reasons for her desire for children, especially a male heir. Onan enjoyed sex, but rebelliously prevented its natural result, the conception of a child. He was selfish, and showed disrespect for his brother, his wife, his father, and God. God judged Onan not fit for his ultimate position as the leader of this especially important tribe of God's chosen people, which was destined to be the line of King David, and ultimately of Mary and Joseph, the parents of Jesus. The tribe would one day become known as “the Jews.” Onan died in the land of Canaan before grandfather Jacob and all his descendants went into Egypt (Genesis 46:12). Tamar, his wife, later bore a child who is listed in the genealogy of Jesus Christ. My post is not to support masturbation (and I'd say whoever is without sin as far as masturbation is concerned should cast the first stone) or promote fornication/adultery, it is just for us to put things in the right perspective but I may be wrong because I am not an authority on this topic. For the records, I feel sex is meant for both procreation and to promote closeness between a husband and a wife; having to procreate more than you have capability to take care of while you are trying to engender closeness is wrong and as such you should try and control birth while you enjoy sex (this is strictly my own opinion). Every individual have their beliefs and practice, what is good for one man may be a sin to the other person. So the mode for which each person practice this rest solely on the individual. If you like sef, no Bleep unless you wan born and after the pikin don enter, hang ya boot, na ye sabi. ![]() Let's not try not to misconstrue facts just to promote an argument. Abeg, like I mentioned when I started, no vex, I don't mean any disrespect. This is just the way I see that part of your post I quoted. Regards. |

This is obviously photoshop as Coke will never print anything on the can and let it overshoot. Quit fooling around (To think I almost believed this shhitt) |
The rest of the story goes thus:It wagged its tail at intervals in response to the chant and then curled beside the newborn. The poor baby was screaming. All the while, Aduke clasped her face with both hands. She could not bear to look at the scene. Having finished its mission, the snake descended and went through the door in the same manner it had come. The elderly woman then lifted the baby chanting his oriki. His paternity had been proved. He was their child. Both apprentices scurried out of the house leaving their slippers (which they had kept at the door on entry) behind. For a long time, she avoided visiting friends who had just put to bed. It was in the course of narrating the story to her mates at the tailor shop that she was told there had been dispute over the paternity of the baby. The baby daddy and his family had insisted on the snake rite to prove paternity. Aduke had obliged to avoid being mocked for having a bastard. The story leaves me wondering why any woman in her right senses would go that far to prove a point. What happened to DNA testing? Are there similar post-natal or other weird practices in your culture? Let’s hear your views. This is a true life story. The name Aduke is however fictitious. |
The same thing happened to me at Ecobank and nothing was done about it. I have sent this post to their customer service via twitter. Let's see what their response will be. |
Who cares as long as my wife and baby are fine. If that bothers you, wait till the day she would deliver and ask for a female doctor when she is in labour. Na only you one go advise yourself. |
Before it was elections, now common cover for an intending Presidential candidate to visit Chibok they are refusing him. They are making it too obvious that they are working for somebody instead of being non-partisan. When the election was shifted, I was of the opinion that if the armed forces won't protect us, we can protect ourselves and carry on with the elections. This is a typical example. May God help us to make the right decision come March 28. It is well. |
At least he is not corrupt, he was only trying to steal. ![]() According to our able Presido (in the voice of Jonathan) "Stealing is not corruption" ![]() |
Come, what's that net like stuff Denrele is wearing, is that not panty hose? ![]() |
^^ It depends on the type of cylinder you are referring to o. If you are referring to the old school iron body or the more safer stainless steel, then the price you mentioned is ok. But if you are talking about the transparent fiber gas cylinder, the least you can get it (cylinder only) is N23,000.00 excluding the accessories. |
dominion247:ℓσℓ... you seriously want him to send tonda to fire your baby daddy? It is well o. Anyways, the guy is just plain stupid. I don't know what the law says about your situation, but common sense would demand that if he is responsible enough to have unprotected sex knowing fully well the probable consequences of such, he should also be responsible enough to take care of his liability, married or otherwise. |
I did o. Chai! |
seuncyber:Unfortunately, if you are not up to 40years (even if you are married) you can't get a visa to Dubai except you are accompanied by an 'Adult'. So, forget Dubai. |

Hi guys. I got this notification from Crackberry that BB OS 10.3.1.2267 leak was out and that updating now is pretty easy using Autoloader (http://crackberry.com/blackberry-os-10312267-autoloaders-now-available-download) At first I was skeptical about using it since 10.3.0.283 sef has not been deployed for any device other than Passport and Q20. Anyways, I decided to just give it a shot; worse case scenario, I will get stuck and take it to any shop to get the OS 10.2 reloaded. So, I got the Autoloader for my Q10 from one of their forums (http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-leaked-beta-os-f395/os-10-3-1-2267-sr-1581-autoloaders-995995/), extracted the exe file and launched it and in less than 3 minutes the loader was done and my system rebooted. Now I am rocking the yet to be released 10.3.1.2267 on my Q10! And with this new OS, you can install and run Android APK files on your BB. You can check it out if you are interested and let me know if you need any assistance.

Never tried number 4. My name is too long and my pee can't flow long enough for me to try writing my name with it. |
They do the same thing at the BRT bus stop at Fadeyi. You give them a high denomination and they short-change you just because they know there are so many people on the queue waiting to buy tickets and you'd not want to be the one to keep them waiting. The third time it almost happened, when I was handed my change, I stood there to check and guy that sold the ticket started raising his voice asking me to leave so that he can sell to others. I ignored him and told him to give me my full balance (after I had confirmed the balance he gave me was wrong) There and then, some other people raised the issue saying the guy was so fond of doing it to customer and his supervisor had to suspend him immediately (or so they made us believe because they could have been in it together and have to just transfer him to another bus stop instead) |
And they said elections cannot hold because we don't have enough security men to do the job. Smh for the powers that be. |
My Cousin's wedding had already been fixed for April 11 and my sister's own was supposed to come up afterwards. I don't know what they'd do. |
My wife, cos my mum has gone to be with the Lord. And don't ask me what if she was here cos she's not and there is no way of telling. |
www.nairaland.com/attachments/2099463_pela4_jpegafedda420ac3a762550f722fb5ac738f It is not in my place to judge, but if he had left it at this, it would have just been regarded as toning. All those levels beyond this is just a no no. But wetin concern me sef, na my skin? |
I don't trust these people. Why can't they take a cue from INEC or FRSC and also provide a link where people who registered can actually verify if these cards have been worked on. They mentioned they have started sharing the cards in Lagos, ABJ and PHC and every time we go to collect here in PHC they tell us that they are yet to receive anything and that we should go and wait. If by now they are yet to get the cards, how then would they be able to fully distribute these cards by April. Instead of them to start on time, they will wait till the 11th hour. Thank goodness we are not using it for election or something related to that, otherwise some people will be calling for postponement like they are doing for the general election now. Modified: The only people I know that have collected theirs are Uncle Jona, David Mark and his deputy, Baba Sege and IBB and this is because it was published on NICM website. Abeg, anybody whey don collect make im tell us how im take do am. |
