mercylicious: R u sure u are comparing for same duration? I don't know for fixed deposit, bt when it comes to anything fx,Fidelity is No1. When it comes to savings deposit rate no 1.And when it comes to customer service or giving customers value for their money, where do you rate them? I have never worked for Fidelity and I pray they never call me to. I have banked with them for almost six months, which has turned out to be the worst ever banking experience I've ever had! They are never true to their words, they should just rebrand and let their customers choose a name for them or (better still) use Infidelity Bank Plc. Mofos! |
In all my short stay in this world, I have never seen a bank as useless as Fidelity. This is not the fora to express my grievance so I'll sheath my sword. But for the sake of this topic I'll just ask you a simple question: Can a bank which cannot afford to profile ur account with your email address for you to receive monthly statement of account (even though they charge you for the service every month) give you a bicycle? Use ya head my fellow human being. |
At least the old man likes her, he should also give them the benefit of the doubt. And who is talking about marriage anyway, she is only going to be Kanye's baby mama; that should work very well for both of them. |
Ranting rapper Kanye West secretly escorted reality TV vixen Kim Kardashian to the Oklahoma City home of his 97-year-old grandfather — and the old man was bowled over by her curvaceous beauty, but skeptical on the subject of marriage. “She is beautiful — and she’s just as sweet as she is beautiful — and that’s what I liked about her!” said Portwood Williams Sr., the wizened-but-wise grandad who has long been a tower of strength for West. “She was just down to earth, she’s rich, and those kinds of people, they’ve got everything,” added Williams, a veteran of Oklahoma’s civil rights sit-ins of the 1950s who helped desegregate lunch counters. But the retired furniture refinisher also said in an exclusive interview he “couldn’t care less” if West weds the visibly pregnant Kim, expecting her first child this July. Williams knows all about long-term nuptials — his own marriage lasted 72 years, until the death of wife Lucille five years ago. And he knows all about short-term unions — like the 72 days Kim spent with NBA star Kris Humphries before filing for divorce. “They didn’t make it,” he joked. That pessimistic view of modern marriage led him to conclude — after five hours in which Kim charmed him last autumn — that the pair should be in no rush to tie the proverbial knot. “Maybe they could have a successful marriage, but I’m not going to spend time worrying if they’re going to make it or not,” Williams said. But if Kayne ever gets around to popping the question, would he go? “No, I don’t do weddings,” he quipped. “I don’t like weddings… You spend a lot of money, then in a few weeks, you’re separated!” An African adage says that a young man cannot see even while standing what an elderly man sees while seated! http://cynthiaajibade..com/2013/02/kanye-west-grand-pa-says-kim-and-kanyes.html#more |
Born again Christian Terry O’Neill had the intricate design depicting Jesus tattooed on his back to show his faith at the tattoo parlour in Adlington, near Bolton. Making a statement though painfully *ouch* i must confess. How many of you can do this for Jesus? http://cynthiaajibade..com/2013/02/born-again-man-gets-massive-tattoo-of.html#.USxZyKLU9qw (Click for pictures) And I want to ask, is this right? |
How do i begin this? It is already too difficult to talk about you using words like ‘Was’ when i really want to say ‘is’ and ‘Would have been’ when my heart whispers ‘Would be’. This is absolute insanity. How one minute you are here, vibrant, happy, excited about all the work you have mapped out for 2013. How you stayed cheering me on, telling me how you admire me, how you want to be there to help, you stoop low enough till I can hop on your back and bear my weight on your shoulders, regardless of the luggage you already have on yours. Isn’t it ironic how everyone hated you for this and that, when all you ever wanted to do was entertain them. What’s sad? They still have something bad to say even in your absence. I am sad! You were here before me, and when i stepped my skinny legs in this wicked place to explore my music, You were one of the few out doing something different. You stood out like yolks stand out of egg whites. How you handled this evil, self-centred, ‘I-have-only-bad-things-to-say’ people for as long as you did is what baffles me. You exhibited such strength, such outstanding emotional stamina that it seemed like you could do all wrong in their eyes and still stand, here, entertaining us from the bottom of your heart. We had a conversation to finish Goldie! Remember? Now i feel like i would never be able to tell you what really happened contrary to what everyone thinks. I remember the last time i saw you, you were so mad at me for not telling you about me leaving the Label. And with good reason too! You hooked it all up didn’t you? So Goldie. Always ready to help. Sad when your friends are sad. You said to me ‘Ehnnn? Eva you are not signed? Isssaalie! Are they blind? Let me talk to —- for you sharp sharp. He just got this new deal mehhnn, you must rock it oh. I won’t stop disturbing him till he signs you.’ And off you went! You took it upon yourself to make sure your friend asked me to sign with his label. And how so stupid I was not to have told you first the minute shit hit the fan. I hope the little I was able to explain to you was of any good. (sigh) All that is gone now. Even you are gone. Life is Crazy. I am grateful today, that I had the pleasure of working with you Goldie boo, traveling, touring, doing shows with you. I loved you from day one! Fresh into the university and without a clue what I wanted from life, there you were on my TV screen doing what most women didn’t dare. Even I didn’t understand you at first. But I understood this one fact ‘You were YOU!’ And it hit me right there. I finally realized what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted to be me. ME! Without a care in the world what ‘they’ say as long as I am me. No compromise. You didn’t just inspire and motivate me, you have kept me here. If it wasn’t a phone call to find out if i was okay, it was a BB message to make me laugh my heart out. My Dear Goldie, My sister, My friend…. I cannot ever answer the question why but I know that God never works without purpose. So i am not going to ask why either. I am going through a lot right now, this is one of those times we would have had a BB conversation and you would have put my worrying mind at ease. But then I think about it, like you always noted, ‘I haven’t even scraped the surface of what you have’. All the times you cried and carried the pain in your heart like an artery, all the times you thought about giving it all up and let your tears flood up your pillows like rain, they didn’t see that. Yet the little they saw they hated. They mocked. Their shallow minds could not comprehend it. 95 per cent of these are the same who have turned around now in your passing to offer words of kindness that you longed for while you were here. Haha !isn’t it amazing how they suddenly see how creative your videos were? Nwannem! Odikwa very strong tin! Hmmmm…. You are gone now my love, as much as it kills me to type that out, I have to face it. If you are sitting on the right side of God our father, please beg him and intercede on my behalf while I Pray. As I go through the sort of things that you did, as I struggle to become somebody my parents are proud of, as I face this wicked place and its wicked people all by myself, as I say Goodbye to Friends who have become Foes overnight, as I stand in the midst of people who hate me for no reason and take it upon themselves like a day job to bring me down, intercede on my behalf dear Goldie. May the Lord answer my prayers…the same sort you prayed while you were here. Thank you for letting me into your world even for a short time. What great blessing it is to have known the real you, the soft, kind-hearted, always-ready-for-a-good-laugh beautiful girl that you were. I’m too sad. Rest in Peace my friend, in the beautiful wonders of everlasting eternity where no one judges you. http://cynthiaajibade..com/2013/02/rapper-eva-writes-touching-tribute-to.html#.USuDRqLU9qw

If you think being super slim is the only criteria to become a model, wait till you see this......... In a scene that was larger than life, a group of plus-sized models took the runway to present the Plus Size Fall/Winter 2013 collection show in Sao Paulo on Saturday [Feb. 23]. In a country noted for its bevy of beautiful women, including notable exports of Gisele Bündchen and Alessandra Ambrosio, the Brazilian women on display in the Saturday show proudly displayed their fuller frames. Models scurried to and fro backstage in a frantic pleasant scene in preparation for the big reveal. The collection included evening wear, bridal dresses, swimwear and intimate apparel. The models appeared at ease as they strutted their stuff and ultimately stripped down to show off some skin. More pictures after the jump... The controversial Yoruba actress who landed Dino Melaye former Nigerian law maker and Bisi Ibidapo Obe in a love child drama has spoken again. This time, she has a 'good' advice for single ladies out there. She is advising them to go after any married man they can lay thier hands on if the young guys are not forth coming.......... This was what she said in a recent interview.... “Let me explain something to you; where are the single guys? They are there and not ready to marry. If the single guys are not ready then the next available option should be taken. I believe one should go for whatever makes one happy. If a married man is the one that will make you happy, please go for it. I know married women would be angry with me but it is the truth of the matter”. Hummmmm.......this' runs girl or woman' wants to incure the wraths of married women out there... Did she suddenly realise her calling as a home wrecker? http://cynthiaajibade..com/2013/02/if-married-man-is-one-that-will-make.html

Kim k has left Nigeria just when the concert she came for was about to start. She landed yesterday for Love like a Movie concert in lagos. A little over 24 hours later, by 10:22pm she was aboard a plane back home. To clarify things, she was supposed to co-host the red carpet at 5:00/6:00pm not the entire concert, which i think she did and left immediately afterwards. She tweeted “Thank you for the amazing time. Can’t wait to come back soon.” And on instagram she posted this pic of herself waiting for the plane to take off. Gone too soon, she’d have stayed a lil bit to chop suya or isi ewu or even afang soup sef. Ah well safe flight. Hopefully she means it when she says she can’t wait to come back. Maybe when she does, we’ll feed her roasted corn and pear.

TimePiece: Good for the Super Eagles and the technical crew but i'd like to know again the economic worth of this win for the country.Darling, not everything is about economic importance. National pride and honor sometimes calls for a nation to give recognition to some of its citizens. Besides, they won over N235m ($1.5m) alongside pride for the country. They deserve it, if not for anything at least they have done something to bring good cheer to some (if not all) Nigerians, regardless of their socio-economic background and religious beliefs. ![]() |

For the records, I am an Igbo man and I was not born during the civil war. I want to ask everybody that is saying we shouldn't forget about the war: 1. How will we not putting the ills of the war behind us bring progress? 2. What do you intend to do about the whole episode, fight again? 3. Where are those who actually fought the war (on behalf of the Igbos) today? What is happening to them? 4. Where in the history of this world has war ever solved any problem? 5. How will you dwelling on the past make you see what you are supposed to do in the future? 6. Wouldn't you rather learn from the past and make a better judgment/decision for your future and your generation yet unborn? 7. What will you gain from dwelling on the Biafran war or starting another one (except if you have plans to run guns and commit other war crimes to enrich yourself) So many more questions begging for answers. I know some many people will haul insults and make obscene comments but, think about it, what effect do you feel war will have on your children? Have we not learnt anything from all these othere countries fighting now? (Even as we didn't experience the war) If it is for the experience of war, why don't you just apply for a visiting visa to some waring countries now, I'm sure they will be glad to grant you one for free. Yes, someone mention killing of women and children by the Nigerian army, but why live in the past? In my opinion, there is no point crying over spilled milk, as horrible as the experience shared by those who witnessed it was, it will do us no good to continue to live a past life (even as most of the people shouting today did not experience one minute of it). Burn the past, throw the ash away. But, make your future judgments based on experience. Try as we may, we can't forget the fact that there was a war, the most we can do is to learn from it. My 2kobo. |
The House of Representatives on Tuesday moved to ban the importation and sale of caffeinated drinks, popularly known as ‘energy drinks’, in the country. It directed its Joint Committee on Health/Commerce to investigate the importation and distribution of the drinks, following a motion sponsored by a member, Mr. Yacoob Bush-Alebiosu. Bush-Alebiosu said the consumption of the drinks had “life-threatening effects on blood pressure, heart and brain function.” He expressed concern that the drinks were first choice beverages among young people, especially on campuses, bars, clubs and social functions across the country. Bush-Alebiosu added that many brands of the drinks had flooded the country, as consumers were also mixing them with alcoholic drinks. He said, “These drinks are being mixed with alcoholic drinks and become more deadly as they tend to mask the level of intoxication already settled in the bodies of the consumers of this mixture, thereby allowing young adults to consume much more alcohol than normal, which often times lead to young people passing out after such in-take and also an increase in road accidents involving such people.” The lawmaker listed Germany, Norway, France and Denmark among some of the countries that had banned the sale of the drinks in their jurisdiction “as a result of health risks caused by the consumption of energy drinks, including reported cases of deaths.” According to him, research conducted by the Cardiovascular Research Centre at the Royal Adeliade Hospital and Adeliade University in Southern Australia revealss a link between students consuming a particular brand of energy drink and the unstable state of their hearts. Bush-Alebiosu said, “Other studies have revealed that the consumption of energy drink causes the heart to stop functioning at intervals and that the consumption of a 250ml can of energy drink can lead to blood clotting, which is highly fatal.” Source: http://www.punchng.com/news/reps-move-to-ban-sale-of-energy-drinks/ I've never liked the idea of drinking energy drinks in the first place. May God help us. |
