I served in Kainji, New-Bussa in Niger State. While in camp, we were told horrendous stories about Kainji so much that the worse curse u can place on anybody in camp was "May you be posted to Kainji". But contrary to what we were told, Kainji is still the best place I've ever been to my whole life! If not for the fact that I was not down with the students' attitude towards education, I would have stayed back. I will never forget when the whole JSS3 students came to my bunk (with knife, cutlass and every sort of dangerous instruments) just cos I foiled several exam malpractices they have thoughtfully planned out during their JSSCE exams (shudders) I beg, it is better told than experienced. All the same sha, I still have close ties with the Emir's nephew and have open invite from the people to come and stay anytime I want to; I'm still very much in contact with some of my serious students and very, very good neighbors in AMKK (III) Science College 5years after. I really miss my stay in Kainji #nostalgic#

Why don't you draw up a contract for your clients to execute even before you start the job at all? That way, you will have a legal ground to sue and claim damges, including what it costs you to drag them to court.

I am a living withness to that. I'm an Igbo guy dating (and now married to a yoruba woman) I used to work with a financial institution now swallowed up by another; when the going was good and I was with her, I thought it was just the money but, at some point I lost the job and had to settle for one that pays me about 40% of what I used to earn (which was not even enough to fuel my car and pay my bills). She stayed with me and helped me all the way. I got my old job back again after a couple of months and lost it (due to the last mergers in the financial sector) two years after and she was my backbone all the way. Because she so much believes in our love, we actually agreed to get married while I still didn't have a job and I've spent every little savings I had. That same month we agreed to get married, I got a job in another FI and the day after our marriage, I got another job in an Oil servicing firm.
Our own case might be different from what others are experiencing but, I believe there are countless women out there who are capable of looking beyond money and sticking with a man for love. All you just have to do is to be yourselfs and define your stands from the beginning. If it something you can manage, live with it; if not, don't put yourself through the stress and at the end of the day blame the woman and say she liked the money over you. Money can never buy love.

I don't think I will have the guts to see my wife go through such pains. If I do, I'm not sure we'll have more than 1 child.
