To add on to what I said, weird thing happened at my port of entry. When u get to your port of entry, your finger prints will get scanned again, just like it was during your visa interview. Well, at my port of entry - my finger prints didn't match. I had to go to DHS @ the airport, and go through a mini visa interview, I guess they were trying to confirm that it's me (and that's why the consular is furiously typing as you speak, they're feeding in all the info u give them). Well, the guy confirmed my info, and told me that stuff like this happens when you travel long distance, and come in contact with many things ??! And then, stamped my passport

vandops:
The CO obviously thot he was young enough to have applied for a 4-year programme rather than 2 year, didn't say he was too young.
Oh, I get it & that makes complete sense!!

I'll go post it on the other tread!!

Inception

Finally, a movie for people tired of seeing movies made for 12 year olds.
This is probably the best thing we'll see all summer, so enjoy it while it lasts.

And what's with these guys and the suspense they always throw in at the end?? cheesy cheesy

Which world was real??
Inception was AMAZING.

I don't know too . . . his wife could have been right all along and he was living in a dream. But, I believe the last scene wasn't reality . . cos of his kids.

TravelRe: General U.S.A (student) Visa Enquiries by shilling(f): 7:46am On Jul 22, 2010
I transferred and I had 2.5 years left (if I don't take summer classes), was only given 2 years. Which means I have to go back to Canada, cos it can't be renewed in the U.S. Yeah, someone said that already, you can stay in the U.S. with the expired visa, as long as you're in status. But, that means you can't travel outta here. Why would anyone want to stay here during every school break?

@ mohaka: That's sad & kinda weird. I know many people who've gotten visas to 2-yr community colleges. Anyways, yeah - apply again. I believe you have to pay the SEVIS fee again.

vandops:
well for one, your age was one thing that gave you away. I really think you should have applied for a BSc since you have gotten any here in Nigeria.Applying to a community college is like applying to a polytechnic and the CO would just be wondering why go thru all dat stress just for that.besides what was the reason you gave for not applying to a university? In summary, il suggest u apply to a university probably for spring semester since most are closed for fall and then go back and get your visa
What do you mean his age gave him away? Do you mean he was too old or too young? My brother applied when he was 20, I was 18. My sister was 16.

obeycity:
I got to the Embassy around 5:30 AM
even with the heavy rain fall. So please take note that punctuality matters alot, The earlier you go, the earlier you are answered before the consulars looses their temper and starts asking strange questions.
I was checked in for interview around 7:10Am after going through the Biometrics and other stuffs.
5.30, OMG!!! The US embassy where I live won't even be open at that time. I arrived there between 7 & 7.30. My interview was at 8.30. But, it's definitely advisable to get there early although on the day of my interview, the consular called names out when it was time to be interviewed. I think it was alphabetically, my 2 names start with B, so I was prob the 3rd or 4th person to be interviewed.
TravelRe: Guys Share Ur Us Visa Interview Here by shilling(f): 7:19am On Jul 22, 2010
I was asked what my mum & dad did for a living, how many siblings I have, why I chose that university, how many years I have left since I was transferring, and asked for my I-20. That was it, wasn't asked for financial documents or anything!! Same with my sister!!

I wasn't expecting a lot when I went to see it, the trailer doesn't really do much in way of explanation.
Yeah, the trailer sucks real bad compared to the movie. I went to see it cos I've loved Leo since I was 7 and cos I thought it'd be interesting. But I didn't expect it to be that mindblowing!! It's been trending on twitter for about 3 days!!

What on earth for? huh

And I most definitely don't claim to be british (even though I am grin ). I say I'm Nigerian when asked, but when the Nigerian High Commission don't accept me as a "proper" Nigerian, what's a girl supposed to do, huh? huh
Yeah, what's with that? UK, USA, Canada, Nigeria. . . all the same. Once you have another passport, you're no longer Nigerian. Even if you see yourself as Nigerian.

At least my family in Nigeria accepts me . . . cry cry

the movie has been getting rave reviews, will try and see it soon. hope it land the oscar he so desire so he can switch to more comedic roles.
He's certainly overdue for an oscar.

More comedic roles? I'm not so sure about that. But, it'd be fun to see him do those, he's always so serious in movies lol. . .

vescucci:
No actor is going to even get nominated for Inception, trust me. Best director, maybe. Probably sef, lol.

CelebritiesRe: Did Rihanna Bleach? What Do You Say? by shilling(f): 11:07am On Jul 20, 2010
She's obviously gotten lighter. Staying out of the sun, which is really only possible during winter can't make u get that much lighter.

Thing is, I'm confused!! How does a person bleach their whole skin? Someone educate me!!

kweenchi:
Yes i am sure! And you know what, YOU dont have to convince me otherwise. Why would she bleach her skin, and then go to the beach to get even darker! That doesnt make sense. Ppl who bleach dont like to get darker.
Don't know if this answers your question:
I don't want to get lighter or darker. I like my skin complexion just the way it is. That won't stop me from hanging out at the beach, the sun feels good (esp when it's not too hot). Even during hot days, chilling on the beach is still awesome!!
