I just love it when women use being pregnant as an excuse to get fat. Not all pregnant women get fat. I guess living overseas is only worth it if the person is doing something worthwhile and is making good money. At the end of the day, I think living in hardship overseas is better than in Nigeria. No matter how poor a person is, they would probably be able to own a car, have access to power and water (I think).

Interesting that a non-Nigerian, but he's so interested in what goes on in our country. You raised some valid points here and there, nevertheless, it is rude and downright disrespectful to call a person, or group of people cowards. If you really care that much, go over to Naija and make a difference, if not, go read a book or something.

Finally, someone thinks like me. I totally understand where you're coming from cos whenever I'm in Nigeria I always hear pple complaining about how Nigeria sucks and how no good will ever come out from our country. It's funny how they complain about how awful it is and at the same time, they're not doing anything about changing the situation of things, still as corrupt as ever, not changing their work ethics and stop complaining sooo much.

I think we can all do our own best to change Nigeria, so this year I've decided to think positively, and not complain so much cos murmuring doesn't solve anything. I guess if we all did a little bit to change Nigeria (living in NG or not), Nigeria will probably/hopefully get better this decade.

@ bk_baybe99: Just wondering, what are you doing to be a "better" Nigerian? If you've already answered that, sorry. Haven't read all the posts yet.

Tell me abt it - the Nigerians showed up in large numbers at the stadium in their colorful clothes which distracted our boys. So you cant really blame them, blame the Nigerians - they're the cause of all our problems you know.

I'm usually more concerned about mosquitoes than my safety. Make sure you get your vaccines before travelling. I guess it goes without saying that you shouldnt walk around at night and during the day time, if possible move around with someone who knows the city. Wont be able to help if you're travelling to rural areas but I guess it's basically the same. Common sense goes a long way.

Is it only me who finds it hilarious that a South African is calling Nigeria bleeped up? RSA is so full of contradictions. You clearly stated that your people are mostly responsible for the crime that takes place in your country and gave a silly defence in response to your very dumb statement. Wow, the fact that some foreign nationals are involved in crime excuses the xenophobia exhibited by most black South Africans, dude you must be kiddn.

I dont think any SA'n has the right to point fingers cos they also have huge criminals. They're only limited their mental capacity, if they were half as smart, they'd do worse. Stabbings, rapings, murder, incest, robberies, etc - stuff that doesnt need brains. This year's Shiloh was amazing. I tried to watch as many as I could but I could only watch one youth meeting which was quite unfortunate. I wasnt at a viewing center but my fav testimonies were the lady who's leg was restored after polio, the guy who finally got married and had quadruplets, that was awesome., and the woman who's niece started speaking after 5 years as her mother was watching.
