Abeg his picture? Na wa oo...death is evil...and inevitable. RIP. |
Op, calm down first. Seems you were high when you typed this nonsensical jargon. ![]() On a serious note, how can you say talent is better than education? Don't you know education even helps to sharpen talent and brings about the side of professionalism, that's why we have courses like theatre arts, music etc? Op, pls tell me, what serious economy is sustained by revenue generated from entertainment or talent MAJORLY? You cannot even survive to type this if some ppl such as farmers who put food on ur table and doctors fail to do their job who ensure we survive a diseased world and you're here ranting about talent. Don't you know no matter how much talent is, its survival is based on other things? To make a standard movie, it's nt really based on 'so much' talent but rather good camera work and special effects which are products of technology. Technology is learnt thru education (though not like the one in Naija sha). And as much as ppl wiv talent who have 'made' it are respected, they would always be less respected than ppl that deal with more serious issues that affect human survival. You don't expect ppl to respect genevieve than Ngozi-Okonjo Iweala or Tuface than Obasanjo (God forbid!) Or even dbanj than fashola! Talent is good but not a thing that is sustainable for everyone...and education is never overrated...it is just misapplied in the nigerian case. |
It's always the devil's work naa...animals. Dis one wey evri criminal dey push blame to satan. Chai! Devil don suffer! |
Ramsey Noah takes the lead with much credit due to his experience but Majid is a close second with more raw talent. Van vicker should be the last. Anyone that has seen 'Stronger than Pain' would know osuofia is a good actor. |
Gabriel afolayan is quite better than all...forget dat he is a bit new and young. He is not in their cadre. |
I am personally a fan of Madam Chaircover. She has really been awesome. Dishing out words of advice with wisdom and maturity. God would protect ur home and you will have no regrets. Madam Debrief has been splendid I must say! Keep up the good work! |
OP, are you a ritualist looking for a virgin for blood money? (No insult intended). The post sounds too weird to be true...'Extremely beautiful, virgin, but attitude is by the way?!' If this is real, the poster should go for deliverance. Nonsense! |
As for me, it is Muyiwa Ademola followed closely by Femi Adebayo. Odunlade is overrated and can't really act to save his life. But the fact is they are all above average. BTW, why re most of them posing the same way in the pics? |
*In a director's voice* I thought I said I didn't want the synopsis of this movie script! Dammit! Get me the full screenplay then we can start shooting! By the way, where are pictures to corroborate this moonlight tale? |
Congrats o! Nice! |
Never!!! Orisiirisii thread sha. |
I love the fact that she was straight-to-the-point in d interview and said her mind without giving a damn about nitpickers like the OP who could only pick out the headline as topic in this down-to-earth interview. |
As for me, Ini looks good...only fatter...I sense shez pregnant. Uche ugly jombo...stop making us experience masquerade festival at this time of the year. Rukky sanda...do I need to say more? *spits* |
I'm the genius. |
The picshures are stunning! |
queensmith: ehn? she wasnt given a leading role in the movie? what kind of nonsense! Is it her birthright? |
Originalsly: But why cast her and not use her?Can you imagine Hollywood casting Denzel Washington and not using him?Bros, it seems you don't know how it goes in all these hollywood movies. Many scenes don't make it to the final cut of a movie. So, if an actor's part in d movie is deemed dispensable and also below what it's expected, it is usually edited from the final cut. Villageboi has said it all. I doubt if she even took time to read the novel or at least where her character comes in to have a full grasp of what is required and how to research for such role. Our actors don't have time for that but rather depend on their 'rare' talent to give 'hot' interpretation to 'lack-of-depth' scripts landing on their laps. Much ado about talent! |
Awww...this is where talent trumps stardom. Though Genevieve has the raw talent, but I think she has been to busy with her stardom that she has not taken time to improve her acting skills. I saw 'Mirror Boy' and her acting was a bit below par. She didn't play 'Tijan's mother' lyk I expected. I hope she learns from this so she doesn't focus on being a movie star (since she is already one locally) but should focus on being an actress! |
They both look beautiful but Agbani looks more beautiful and I love dat her smile... |
Is this for real? If it is true sha, I wish them a blessed marriage that we won't hear songs of divorce after few years due to 'unreconciliable differences'. |
Kudos to Annie. Make she come give me the juju she use tie him down... |
jidegirl12: I understand grandma's frustration due to the current situation in Nigeria... Nobody back home understand what goes on here until they come on down ( Bob ParkerDid you type this while dreaming? Abeg, the woman should be considerate joor. Does she want to destroy her daughter's matrimonial home because she is 'suffering'? Is the woman in question her only child? Can't she be productive or she expects to live for the rest of her life on the 'fruits of her labour'? It is the responsibility of the couple to take care of the woman, but when things are very hard, you consider your family first! Besides, they still have two children oh whose growth isn't stagnant.lol. |
It's Mercy Johnson, though Ini is a gud actress. |
it just your normal rom com movie Its okay just doesn't deserve all the buzz its getting.
I totally disagree!!! It deserves the buzz it's getting IMO. |
'Thunderbolt' by Mainframe starring Uche Obi-Osotule, Buky Ajayi, Lanre Balogun, Ngozi Nwosu( may God grant her good health)and directed by Tunde Kelani. 'Ti oluwa nile', 'Saworoide' and 'Koseegbe' all by Mainframe pictures. Those guys make sense! |
I just saw the movie 'Silver Linings Playbook' and I can tell you it's an awesome experience. The movie carefully combines drama with comedy and a little bit of romance. It centers on a man (PAT SOLITANO- played by Bradley cooper) who just arrived from a mental institution and tries to use a 'mysterious' lady known for her 'sexcapades'(TIFFANY- played by Jennifer Lawrence) to win back his wife- NIKKY. And the two lead characters (Pat and Tiffany) later found their silver linings as the movie progresses. The acting is solid, especially from 'Jlaw' who stands out from the stellar cast that includes Robert De Niro, Jacki weaver, Julia Stiles, Chris Tucker etc. Directing was on point by David O Russel. The movie has been nominated for 8 academy awards holding this February. It's a movie to watch.

Thank God I've seen both movies. Pls, 'Snow white' is far better than mirror mirror. |
Nice contributions from people. But no one is giving kudos to the on-screen actors...I mean the 'serious' ones oh...who go through a lot to get into their roles...make researches...change lifestyle (especially method actors). |
Hbd to Omo to sexy ju! Your best is yet to come... Well, that's if today is ur birthday cos I dnt know oh. |
Is this a chapter in Chimamanda's latest novel? ![]() |
OMG! Looks like a scene in all these plotless action movies. |
VillageBoi: I do also believe that stage acting is more complex than acting for the screen for the very reasons you mentioned. A relevant question could be "Why is 'Nollywood' screen acting generally terrible?"Lol. God bless you for your contribution. I agree wiv u. I hope I'm nt guilty of the 'extra' or "overacting' sef. God help our craft. |
